Politics / Re: But What Is Wrong With Some Yourbas? - 2023 Presidency by christopher123(m): 8:39pm On Sep 29, 2021
Zetra7:
I have asked this question after reflection and in need of a rational answer. It's worrying to have observed that the missing link in the southern unity is actually some set of YOURBAS who it be honest , I don't know know if they understand what is at stake or is it a simple case of selfishness.

Is it not stark clear of the game at play in this country? Buhari regime has reset every sphere of this nation by elevating the north and degrading the south.

At a time when the unity of the south matters most, why do some people not reason well enough to understand that no matter how they think that the north is in a love relationship with them , it's nothing but a mirage.

The North will NEVER vote Tinubu or Osigbanjo ahead of another Northerner most likely Atiku. The stakes is so high for them..

First - they benefitted 70percent from Buhari's regime and in this hardship, they can't let go..

Secondly, they controlled power absolutely and fear of reprisal from the south

Thirdly , they already hate Igbos and terrified of them, detest Niger Delta led Wike and unfortunately abhor Yourbas these days especially with their new found strength to challenge the north led by Akeredolu.

The latest meeting of not only their governors but their traditional leaders makes their position clear.

Yourbas need to unite with Igbos and Niger deltans, give an Igbo man a chance, don't understand what this fear is all about , it's almost amusing. We can't achieve a united south with the southern governors meeting only for some yourbas to tactical start campaigning for Tinubu and Osibanjo..

Do you think other southerners are fools?? No wonder some Igbo governors backed out. What is this madness? Now the North have sensed an opportunity and about to strike precisely.

We don't need any bowing down from Igbos before we all support them, whether to Tinubu or GEJ, all we need a respectable agreement to honour the southern position and carry everyone along. Igbos already have a dysfunctional relationship with the north and therefore have no choice.

Those who tout Tinubu or Osibanjo are just either ignorant of the game at play in the North or simply Stupid.. Wake up from slumber, just like how you were rightly informed pre 2015 that General Buhari is nothing but a bigot yet you refused to listen..

Hear it again, anything short of a southern unity, get ready for another northern presidency with a VP from either SS or SE and then we will continue wailing..

I don't think it's in the interest some yourbas to refuse support for an Igbo presidency and end up with an Igbo VP with another Northern presidency... Both northern APC and PDP are seriously plotting the scheme.

it is simple, either field an igbo man or let the North rule forever until we get sense

I'm telling you. Same thing in Ibadan.

Alaadorin–Yemetu
Beere
Mokola
Apata(Akpata)
Mapo
Oke Aremo
Dugbe
Ekodola and its environment are Yoruba dominated brown roof slums.

You will only see one or two Igbos in those places.

Then go to nice places in same Ibadan like Old and New Bodija Phase 1 & 11, Ikolaba Layout, Aerodromes GRA, Eleyele Estate, Bashorun, Ojoo and Ologuneru areas, you will see where Igbos prefer staying despite the high cost of house rent and NEPA bills there.

The issue is that Yorubas don't like living costly lifestyle and they prefer those shanty areas provided that nothing stops them from enjoying their Amala and Ewedu local delicacy.

Igbos spend huge amount in house rent. That's why you hardly see Yorubas in the East.

Even in Onitsha where rent is relatively cheap compared to most cities in Nigeria, an average Yoruba blood will still not agree to live there.

In all, I think Yorubas live stress-free and cheap life.

I know even in Lagos mainland aces Luke Festac,Mile2 Estate , Satellite town etc are Igbo ...you said the truth

Car Talk / Re: Bringing a Mercedes from Lagos to Calabar; and my tough ordeals! by christopher123(m): 12:15pm On Jun 08, 2021
OfficialDJ:
It was 6:50 am in the morning when I called teddy that I was coming to Lagos to pick my cls up( I had paid for a thorough paint job to be meted out on the car)

I booked a flight from calabar to Lagos that same month for almost twice the normal fee! shocked

Everything went smoothly from there and I spent the night at one of those hotels in the GRA axis of ikeja.

I went down to meet up with the paint guy, and I was impressed by what I saw.

I was assigned a driver by the company to drive the car down to calabar... “Na new car be this, drive carefully “ the driver was told, but it was the complete opposite of the instructions he was meted out to that he did.

Pothole upon pothole the car entered, and I was so mad that I couldn’t shout again.

The final straw that broke the camelback was when he entered two potholes at once along sapele road, and the tyres screeched and gave up.

The passenger side tyres tore like it was riddled with bullets, and it was a bushy area.....

shocked

We heard a siren blow and a police van ordered us not to park there that hoodlums kidnapped people there...

They had to follow us to the nearest filling station, which was thankfully near an army checkpoint.

The rims had given up too at that point ( rims wey I buy 250k) cry

I was so mad I couldn’t even talk to the driver again.

The policemen came down and asked what the problem was .. they offered to bring down the tyre and sorted things for us. shocked

We had to sleep in the filling station that night for the car to be worked on the the next morning!
That particular night, without being signaled to come, 4 Warri boys helped us get new tyres and transported it to the car’s location without collecting money. I was shocked by the hospitality.

The next day, the boys again took me to where I’d get rims and everything for the car, which was beyond amazing.

I had to squeeze 3k to the supposed leader, as they refused to collect anything.

I got back to calabar yesterday afternoon, and I’m riddled with repairs worth 300k+

If you’re from delta, you guys rock! So much, as if it wasn’t for those guys, then my situation would have been lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
Next time follow asaba then hit Enugu them Ebonyi then Cross River...the road is awesome

Politics / Re: Deltans, Edo Will Form A United Kingdom With Oduduwa If Nigeria Breaks Up. by christopher123(m): 2:11pm On Jun 03, 2021
CardiNice:
Good morning fellow NIGERIANS.
I am here this morning to write facts and nothing but the truth.

I have been reading some misconception about the people of the Niger deltans concerning Biafra.
Now let me tell you all facts.
An average person from delta state and Edo speaks Yoruba language very fluently, infact apart from English and our normal Edo, ijaw, urhobo, isoko and itsekiri language, our third most spoken language of the people of Niger Delta is the "Yoruba language"
You can take this to the bank and cash it anytime any day.

For example if you go to mile two, mile twelve, Berger and the rest, most of the people, most of the guys you will see in those bus stops particularly in transport companies, most of them are from delta state and Edo ( urhobos In particular)

But the way they speak Yoruba, you will think they are Yorubas.
Contrary to the normal general believe that lots of Igbos are in lagos, apart from the Yorubas who are the legit owners of Lagos State, the second highest concentration of people in lagos state are the people from delta state and Edo.

In Osun, Oyo, Ondo and the rest states of the Yoruba nation, the second most concentrated people in those states are the urhobos and the people from delta and Edo.

Have you been to Ile ife? There are more urhobos in Ile ife than in the entire south east.

The people of delta state and Edo are like twins to the Yoruba nation.
Africa magic Yoruba has the highest viewers from delta state and Edo even more than some Yoruba states, only Lagos top us when it comes to Africa magic Yoruba.
This is not mere propaganda or some lies, i am writing raw facts here.
The people of Niger Delta, delta and Edo and yourbas have this Lionel Messi/Suarez kind of relationship. The love is Genuine.

Do you know that 50% of people from delta, Bayelsa and Edo grew up in south west?

You will hardly ever see an ijaw man or urhobos or Edo, itsekiri man, leaving in south east, it's almost impossible.
Even looking at transportation. 99% of flights and busses coming out of delta, Edo and Bayelsa State are all heading to south west.

Have you been to ore?

My whole point is that i believe in one
Nigeria but if eventually Nigeria breaks, I don't know about Calabar or Akwa Ibom
but the ijaws in porthacourttt and entire deltans, Bayelsa and Edo will rather form a United Kingdom with oduduwas just like the united kingdom and Scotland with Lagos being England.

The Gods have spoken and so shall it be.

Court rise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The united kingdom of oduduwas will be the most prosperous nation on earth.

Note!! I have nothing against the Ibos, i am only speaking raw truth.
You have spoken well but count us anioma out...we knew why we left Western Region in 70s ...I am Uche and I can not leave Uche my brother in SE and Join Tunde in Ibadan that is likely to be a muslim and be shouting sharia... I am anioma and I and other Igbo speaking parts of Niger Delta will go with my Igbo brothers.... I do not know of other tribes.

Trust me of France wants Mahatma out of power that one na piece of cake for them but they won't, I don't believe they have a hand in Derby's death in the first place as he really ensured that France had unrestricted access to their Uranium field, infact one of the reasons he was ruthless with rebels is to halt them from hampering France exploration in Aozu field.

So when they parrot Niger Delta, I laugh at their stupidity...Niger Delta isnt a tribe

Hoverbird:

Keep on fantasizing till reality hit you. You people just mouth Niger Delta as if it's a tribe, maybe you don't know that the same Igbos are also Indigenous to the Niger Delta. It was an indigene of Niger Delta that led the first coup now termed Igbo coup for convenience and culminating into the civil war. Even the so called Biafra was a coinage from an Ijaw chief. I hope you know the military are having confrontations in AkwaIbom and sooner or later Rivers state would join the fray, many of you especially those from outside the region don't know whats going on. Rivers and Abia have some of the most extremists elements of IPOB if you don't know. I won't even want to drag the matter of a Biafra republic with clowns like you because you people easily bring up this argument when serious issues are being discussed but if you think the Niger Delta region comprising of hundreds of ethnic groups would want to be a part of Nigeria and not be on their own assuming they don't even want biafra then the joke is on you.
You think a destabilised South east region wont harm the economy of the country? most especially when Imo state has a proven gas reserve of over 6 trillion cubic ft(A resources of the future) energy coys are tussling to build refineries & win mouthwatering gas deals this govt wants to lay pipes down to Morocco under the guise of AKK project. Those giants gas pipelines to the north you think they don't pass through the region & are buried in the air ? not to talk of the oil exploration in parts of Abia & Imo and the proven reserves in the Anambra trough.
All well and good let's watch how things pans out, you people will soon learn that the South east is a major gateway to the economic hub of the country whatever affects it with will spill over. For a government that negotiates with bandits, but don't want to see talking as an option for agitations. Everyone knew that IPOB guys picking up arms today is as a result of the high handedness of the military, by the time they win 100% sympathy of the populace it will be interesting to see how the army will overcome a group that will easily recruit 50k at a go to launch guerilla warfare against an already overstretched and Ill equipped military, that even have IPOB sympathisers within their Officer cadre.
