SooCute: B2 should take you less than a year. But if you mingle and force yourself to speak (your cut and join German) you would eventually start making sense sooner. Also depends on how much time you wanna put-in. I would advice you to start learning German from Nigeria. Throw yourself to it. Just like @hounorableseyi hinted, If yo come here bro/Sis you go ration your time ooo. Alot of wahala if you are doing Bachelors in Engineering( or STEM).
Time no go too dey plus course work, hustle go tie you down. If you want soft small....avoid education in BAVARIA...i wouldn't say more than this.. pls is environmental sciences among STEM course? |

fabiosmart: Thanks for your time pompido, more blessing.
Quick one, can I use SL in Saarbrueken without any issue as you stated above for some Bavaria cities?
Any tips or advice on student life (studies and side hustle) in saarbruecken?
I'll appreciate you input to the above concerns
Danke Bruder He said you can use it for any state or city in DE ps; a recent SL i saw states it is valid for 5 years. |

atutupoyoyo2211: Guys, we all keep talking about how much taxes reduces all your incomes and all that, but i would like to say, no matter how much you are taxed, you can still make good income. I attached a screen shot of the week i earned my highest pay this year, and as you can see, i was charged a lot in taxes, but i still made good money that week. Though i made Imagine getting $2222 in a week. Like i said, its hard work, because i dont get much sleep, but then again i wasn't getting much sleep in Nigeria because of stress, PHCN, noise from generators and security. I earned quite a lot that week also because, 2 of the days in that week were STAT days (holiday) and i worked on that day. So guys, taxes are not scary at all, the more you earn, the more you get taxed, but the point there 'THE MORE YOU EARN'. Just to point out, this was my pay for that week. Oga is good to hustle with one's youthful vibrancy, no doubt, is equally good to be disciplined and save, More so, is very critical and imperative that you get at least 6 hours sleep a day. Body no be firewood, #1cent From a concerned brother |

koonbey: Uhmm Sir... Courts don't void contracts for being "exploitative" unless there was misrepresentation or a mistake (those two terms are in the legal context, not dictionary meaning). It is the parties' responsibility to conduct due diligence and it is a settled principle of law that courts should not wade into attempting to set contractual terms for parties. You are a lawyer |

honourableseyi: It depends on your course and how many hours of job you are doing per week. Shalom Yea, this is true o. I sha want to achieve that. I believe your German level is over B2 now oga? I was checking some Germany job advertisements, the least German language requirement for full time employment is B2, saw some for C2(mother tongue). The need to learn it can never be overemphasize, I agree. |

honourableseyi: Ask your sponsor to visit his or her alien office. They will tell him what to bring and requirements. Sometimes, it depends on one city to another and also who is on sit on that day. I have seen someone that went to his alien office with the online general requirements and was given new requirements, thus, could not get it. Shalom Thank you sir |

pompido: Well, Kiel that is now a bubbling and highly remunerating city had less than 10 Nigerian students most of whom only knew about one type of work that happens in Summer (we came in winter) and so had absolutely no information about what else was obtainable in the city. To make matters worse, I combed all the restaurants in the city asking for work in my pidgin german/english but they all wanted german speaking people.
All that we went through brought about the paradigm shift that ensured that no matter who you are, if you want to start earning money from the day you land in Kiel (if you have the power for work o ), it is now very possible.
Folks in other cities also experienced some hiccups at first.
It is different now, simply connect with people at the city you are headed and ask about work. Some places will have work waiting for you or at least give you an idea of where you will apply to and work first, then seek better offers later. Deliveroo and Foodora is an easy go to for most if you are athletic and can ride a bike.
So do not worry, so long as you plan ahead and talk to folks where you are headed, things have definitely eased up than 3years ago (just like BA went from 1.8m to almost 4m now ) Chaiii, this thing d pain me eh! |
