Ogoonna: Hello group i need help if anyone can render with an idea!. I did my interview on the 25th October and had issues with the admission letter sent from sch, even the vo told me to contact the sch and tell them them that the letter wasn’t complete and i shoud send them the complete letter by email, I contacted sch and send them the letter i had byt got rejected with reason “ you couldn’t provide a valid admission letter from a german university ( although interview went well) “ so i start again to contact the sch and they agreed they would send me another complete letter this tome but only 5weeks before admission date! Which is 29jan, so I forwarded the the sch gave me to embassy letting dem know d status, then during end of dec i go the complete letter this time and even a map of my state and so on! Then emailed embassy asking for them to review my application nd for a date of a new interview date cos no space on website, the replied saying “ do you want to appeal the decision of the embassy or do you want ro register for a new appointment” I replied, i wanted a date so i can meet up with my time. ( I didn’t want to appeal not to take chances and the time factor of 4weeks don pass). I got a reply few days later saying “ thank you for your email, send your name, adress and documents as attachment to students@lago.diplo.de”. This was on the 2nd of Jan, when i got the email and I quickly replied, that same day nd sent them everything( but this wasn’t the email i was using to Communicate with them) but since that 2jan I haven’t heard any reply or date given to me yet!. I emailed them again and still nothing and my time is fast approaching. What can i do?? I also attached that last email i got from them. Any suggestions will help a long way really. Thank you Rebook for an appointment with ur email u with, you should be able to get a response within 72hours. I still believe there is something not complete with what u sent or not presented well. Hope you captioned the email title well? |

Uche9: To God be the glory, I've joined the league of our brethren who have done their interview and are now waiting for the good news
As is the culture here, this is for those yet to do theirs.
First off, ensure u have ur documents the way they ought to be (one original, two photocopies). Then, make sure u obey Mr. Paulinus' instructions. If u do these, u'll be checked in without any form of embarassment.
In no particular order, I was asked the following questions:
My intended course and level of study The university (full name) Why I chose the course Why I chose Germany Things I know about Germany Why not Nigeria Why not the US, UK or Canada The admission officer of the uni One thing led to another that made the VO ask me who the current minister of mines and steel development is. My undergrad thesis title
That should be all. I wish y'all the best! Hmmm, the VO wan get back at u but u are cleared even if you don't know it, na everything person go know about Germany? |

Eldeee: I just deh laugh as the arguments dey fly in and out for here since yesterday and today. E be like say our sisters no dey do the work well abi our brother don dey fall hand small, hahahahaha. Shhhh, close your ears, no be everything una suppose hear.
Fabcol, you suppose don win award for this our thread as the lovely peace maker. Honestly I must acknowledge your contributions in seeing to issues being handled with sanity of mind. I really learnt from you when we had some misunderstanding here. I like the level of maturity you displayed. But you still need to make it clear to peeps here that this place is not a healing, deliverance and miracle center from your response.
I believe we are all here to uplift one another, but efforts are required from both ends to achieve the desired goals. I also want to believe we are not here to show who knows it all or who is the final authority when it comes to matters being raised here. Honestly this German thing is not a one template for all and sundry. It's just as your grace reach and a great deal of God's favor.
People have gotten admissions with very "awful results" as we might call somehow call it third class here. some have even travelled to Germany without any block money or sponsorship letter...yes are you surprised.... you better don't be. that's the beauty of the application process. so it's not a one template for all. it's case by case basis. someone here narrated how he came with incomplete documents, infact he failed to photocopy most of his documents as was instructed, but lo and behold he got favor from the sight of the visa officer after some initial disapprovals, but with powerful kabashing to back it up... lol, you know what I mean.
Oga chriswazo, take am easy oooo, haha haha, make you soji small small abeg. We will definitely get our desired goals by the special grace of God.
No man has the compendium of knowledge in its entirety.
God will make it happen for us all.
Abeg make I pm you, we need to relate beyond this German thing
cheers. Carry on bro, we are already talking there |

Fabcol: I am not mad
A 2.7 or 2.8 Nigeria cgpa is not up to a 2.5 German cgpa To get a perfect 2.50 German cgpa you need a 3.0 Nigeria cgpa Tho a 2.88 Nigeria cgpa would give u a 2.59 German cgpa which most German university coverts to 2.50..anything less than a 2.88 can never give you a 2.5 German cgpa
Dont be full of yourself no one knows all..moreover we are all here to learn and if u think you have learned everything simply stop coming here rather than replying people rudely..well I want to believe you are more matured than this. if u are having a bad day that lead to such response, I pray God solve your problems or whatever it is bothering you cause a normal person can't act this way.
Cheers!! Fabcol my man, you know we have been friends since last year. Let's just say I was not in the mood though you have a way of confronting people that I don't like, esp when you did it to Eldeee. The conversion aspect, I was only correcting the guy that said 3.0 above is the least for 2,5 German scale which I know is not true. Some German schools that I know even accept 3,0 for MSc in some programs. So brother having a 2.8 or 2.7 should not rule out the MSc aspect especially with a good motivation letter and CV (experiences). Meanwhile how will someone with Nigeria 3.5cgpa have 2,5 German score? I bet u their was a mistake with his handlers cos I had similar experience but pointed it out to them which they corrected. Dailydolar would have done better in explaining this cos I learnt it from him in the last thread, sorry he is not active here anymore. One love bro |

homirefacuny: Hi everyone,
I just bumped into this thread and I can’t thank you guys enough for the wonderful work you all doing. God bless you all.
I am a graduate of Chemistry from university of ILORIN and I would like to further with a Msc from a German university. However I have certain questions. 1. Can I chose not to write any English proficiency exam and still get admission to a good university in Germany? 2. If I start the application for winter now, when exactly do you think I have to deposit the required amount into a blocked account? 3. With a graduate degree in Chemistry, do I stand a chance of gainful employment or Can I seek other disciplines at this time? 4. I have 3.08/5 in my Underg, how much chance do I have of being admitted to a reputable university in Germany. Thanks and God bless. 2) You don't need the money for admission but be confident of ur ability to raise 4m for your visa |

I must say this is a wonderful place to get information and the corporation here is unique i must thank Honourableseyi, Goldenventures, Elde, Kenechill, heybaby12 ,chiwazo ET others for the good work they are doing here, God bless...
I do have some few questions
1. What is the hope of an electrical Engineer who is good with electrical wiring and installation in terms of side hustle because i can only see from the trend that programmers are highly needed, do electricians have hope.
2. Secondly what's the hope of a graphics designer ( photo shop and the rest) do they have hope for a side hustle while studying.
3 . My major problem is my low GP which is around 2.9 that is 2.5 ( German scale), it's not been easy to see schools that accept this GP so far although i will still search more on daad.de and remain hopeful.
Thanks 3) ur Gp is okay provided u are not applying to NC programs, target the open admission programs |

Hadampson: I don't really know much about that boss The only difference i know of is Express entry is an economic class visa while work permit visa is a temporary residence visa
Express entry can take up to 6 months or more while work permit visa shouldn't be more than 3 months
But you know applying for Canadian visa varies from time to time plus its depend on the individual involved.
You will agree with me that 2 people may apply for visit visa for example but may not be given visa approval at the same time.
So it varies boss
Lest i forget, Express entry migration is the path to permanent resident while work permit visa is temporary residence visa but after living in Canada for some years, you can be a permanent resident. Alright sir, we'll talk more on WhatsApp |

These are questions you can't have a definite answer while in Nigeria. Just find a way to come first. The rest can be sorted on ground.
Don't delay because of such trivialities. Exactly my take, I love this answer |

Kenechill: I think you need security. Those jobs you listed are secure jobs, from the government. Weigh that with your reasons for traveling. If you can achieve more with the job in Nigeria, stay back. Honestly, no be everybody wey go Germany de hammer heavily. So check your goals and align then with which one would help you attain then faster. I think civil defence pays really well sha And remember u don't pay taxes in Nigeria, but also remember that euros is ever rising and naira is continually falling. €8860 was about 1.8m 3 years ago, now it's almost 4m. Everything de your hand If you don't pay tax, some others do. BTW that is our madness in this country, freedom to do anyhow, freedom to drive anyhow in traffic, dispose refuse anywhere, on noisy generator anytime even in the midnight, play music at over high volumes not minding next door neighbor, freedom to be mad and nobody go talk to you. Na so one man start pig rearing in my street, he lives in the same street and sees the level of air pollution his business is causing yet he keeps postponing when he will transfer the animals. Reports have been sent to every form of authority but d man just d settle them and posting residents here. His last promise was January this year but I learnt the animals are still there. In short, our unguided freedom is the cause of our madness and bane of development. |

Kenechill: 1. You read engineering so you have good chances. I think electricians are needed a lot in Germany
2. 200k is just 500 euros , so I'm sure you would wanna do an Msc and earn more.
3. I don't know why it came after 4. Lol. But it seems u love ur babe so much. There are a lot of biology and microbiology related courses in winter. A lotttttttttttttttt. Just filter with daad. And I think living in same city is ideal. Saves you rent money, food money and konji-curing money
4. TUM has msc in management and technology. They have even given admissions for summer already. So winter, try and do your Uniassist early, cos application period is usually short. Then still filter on https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/result/?q=°ree%5B%5D=2&lang%5B%5D=2&fos=5&crossFac=&cert=&admReq=&scholarshipLC=&scholarshipSC=&langDeAvailable=&langEnAvailable=&lvlEn%5B%5D=&cit%5B%5D=&tyi%5B%5D=&fee=500000&bgn%5B%5D=2&dur%5B%5D=&sort=4&ins%5B%5D=&subjects%5B%5D=40&limit=10&offset=&display=list
Good luck Are u sure of ur No.1 answer, I know BSc Mech Eng is not sufficient for MSc IT but E/E, I don't know sha, he should enquire. The better option is always Computer Science and Mathematics. I agree with ur No.2 MCB should be able to study Biotechnology (MSc). |

Tom77: Good morning.. Please I need your advice, no insult please.. I have an opportunity to work in civil defence and also to work as a lecturer in College of education Zuba Abuja.. But my plans was to leave Nigeria for Germany to study and work after school, but don't know the chances of getting a job. Don't want to make mistakes.. Abeg make una advice me... Danke I 'll answer u because i was faced with these months back. I was ready to plot my name into this current FRSC recruitment but smh i didn't have peace with that because my 'heart of hearts' want to leave this country for studies, am fed up with everything that life has to offer in Nigeria no matter my monthly income. There are over 1m+ ways to die in this country daily, news this morning has it that over 1000 death last year was caused by lassa fever, not to think of road accident, fuel tanker fall and many more abhorrent scenes that happens daily in our country. Life expectancy in Germany is over 80 while in Nigeria, just 50 something, imagine. To answer ur question, it all boils down to what u want o ( in d voice of my Pastor). If u can live with the conditions here and u love the job, go for it but i prefer to have an average income in a country where her system works and my children welfare guaranteed than to be answering Rich man where i don't kno when it will be my turn to be kidnapped, my money value now has no guarantee in future like her economy etc. Mind u, even the rich in Nigeria also cry and can never get enough of the quality of Life d average man abroad gets. Na when emergency set in, u will hate Nigeria system in toto. So what do u want sir? go for it and u will never regret it. |
