Says who? The problem with Nairaland is that anybody can just come and type a list of things that they think should be a standard for doing things and people would swallow it hook line and sinker. Not everybody has the same exact way of doing things. Some people might do similar things or live similar lifestyles but it doesn't mean it is a rule every other person must follow.

You wouldn't want to get married to an independent woman with a very good job and from a good social class and family background,and be talking about a wedding planned in a way that falls below their standards. Not so. It's a wedding and I would like to make it memorable. I have basic rides I can use as I sell cars for a living but I'd love to do something special for myself. You don't get married everyday. That special is what would make me spend such.

Yeah, you're right. But if one isn't careful, it can become a threat to life. Once had a bout of it and couldn't sleep all through the night. Every drug I took was a waste. Was just busy struggling with my breath cos my chest felt choked and blocked. Gas wouldn't come out despite chewing up several cards of antacid. It was just stuck in. I actually thought I was going to die sha. Battled with it for like 3 days consecutively.

I learnt how to drive with manual transmission but in the past 17yrs, I haven't driven a manual car for more than 20 times. I have driven automatic more often cost 95% of the cars I sell and use all come with automatic transmission.

Very true. I've become too careful to a point that I think I'm probably almost getting boring without knowing it. Had a date few days back and was basically laid back and trying to assess this chick and all, trying to gauge what comes out of her mouth and all that, while we were in the vehicle. She was practically doing most of the talking and it got to a point where she had to complain about my "laid back attitude". Someone who knew me when I was much younger, would be surprised as to how much I have changed a lot. These days, I tend to want to process every tiny detail and all that, before making a bold step or taking a decision. Sometimes, I don't even know if I do it consciously or not.

That dude talks like a complete idiot at times. How anyone would believe that a very important agency like the NIA, would keep 15bn naira for covert operations in a flat that isn't heavily guarded or guarded by security agencies of govt, is just sickening. If that is how covert operations are carried out round the world, the entire universe would have been one hell of an unsecured place for man to live in. What kind of covert operation would an agency be carrying out, and would not be aware that someone who isn't supposed to know what is going on, is already aware of some of the apparatus used for the operation. Hmm. I don't think a lady is behind this moniker but kudos to whoever wrote this, assuming such a person practices this. Too often, we have seen people talk like this online and do something entirely different offline. But whatever it is, I've come to the conclusion that people should be allowed to live their lives the way they deem it fit. We won't always share in the repercussions. If a girl doesn't want a broke guy, leave her alone. If she is lucky to meet Mr rich, fine. If she loses her life in the process, it's her business. Just let her be. As a guy, if a girl won't date you cos she thinks you are broke, don't be disturbed. Work hard and pray to be successful. When you are made, make sure you don't date below your financial and social class. That's the only way you would be able to escape leeches.
