Exactly. BackDatAssUp: You will be surprised to know that a vast majority of so called educated Nigerians believe everything they read on the internet.
This is why the internet is not in anywhere comparable to a library. |
Politics › Re: APC Controlled Lagos State Has Both The Highest External & Internal Debts - PDP by chronique(m): 2:08am On May 26, 2015 |
Someone talked about Nigerian youths being intellectually lazy and as soon as I read that post,my mind flashed to your moniker cos you're one of such youths always eager to type and comment, without thinking or taking time to find out accurate information, before you talk. Obj got a debt relief for Nigeria, but didn't clear Nigeria's debt. He left an external debt of $3bn and about $13bn worth of internal debt. These are facts in the public domain which you have failed to access due to your intellectual laziness. What irritates me more is that, people who do not have a mind of their own and who are equally intellectually lazy like you, would swallow this your opinion hook, line and sinker, and spread it round to other folks in the same category. Let me ask you one quick question: how were you expecting Obj to clear all Nigeria's internal debts(including those incurred by the state governments)? Is the federal govt responsible for bonds taken by state governments? Is there any nation in this world that doesn't have debts? Are you aware that part of the monetary policies which government uses in reducing money supply in the economy to control inflation, requires them selling treasury bills and bonds? Are you aware that these bonds raised, form part of the internal debts? I followed GEJ's economic team's policies throughout his govt and I realized they were constantlyy working on reduction of inflation rate and trying to stabilize the rate of inflation. This is why banks were asked to increase their reserve levels with the CBN,and bank rates for borrowing from the CBN were also increased and invariably passed down to the consumers. The objective of these, was to reduce the money supply in the market as banks would have lesser cash to borrow out,and consumers would be discouraged from borrowing money, due to higher interest rates for borrowing. Bonds were also placed in the market and investors were given higher returns for buying govt bonds. This simply meant those who had money to spend, witheld their funds and money kept moving from banks, companies and investors purse, into govt purse. egift: Stop playing for the mumu team. Buhari cleared Nigeria debt in his time and even refused to collect fresh IMF and World bank loans. OBJ in his time also cleared Nigeria's debt.
Jonathan is a failure for accumulating debt, squandered the massive oil windfall of over $100 per barrel and also squandered the money in excess crude, foreign reserve and Federation account. Upon that he is leaving the country in shambles. |

God bless the OP. Majority of Nigerian youths are annoyingly stupid. Theyy would rather spread and believe false information with their mobile phone, rather than use the same mobile phone to validate and check the authenticity of the information being spread. That's how intellectuall challenged, most Nigerian youths are. It's a pity I was born in this same generation. The older generation didn't have as much technologyy as we have today, but they are more educated and intelligent than the youths of today. This is because today's generation, are predominantly made up of dummies;only a few are worth calling humans. |

Learn to tell yourself the truth;it wouldn't hurt you. Your opinion doesn't hold sway on the global stage. You might not agree with how she managed the economy, but that doesn't mean she isn't good at what she does, nor does it reduce her worth on the global stage. MayorofLagos: We are glad Yale took the position because it is now registered to the world and the awareness that Okonjo-Iweala is an incompetent and over rated technocrat is spread globally.
She has been projected, successfully and rightly so, as a liability...and not an asset to the national and regional economy.
This raises the risk and makes her unappealing for hire by any international body working for the upliftment of human society on a global scale. |

You sit down here on NL to say NOI has nothing upstairs, but she's recognized world over. You that you have something upstairs, can't boast of having followership of just 1% of nairaland registered users, not to talk of being known and influencial in your local govt;can you see how useful you are to the nation? oduastates: I do not know why people are bothered with yale. Like I said before anyone can give any title as long as she is kept as far away as possible from where she can cause damage. As much as soludo erred in fraternising with the banks and not regulating them properly, no one has ever disputed the fact that he can do better and do a job. But Iweala is your typical world bank /IMF agent sent down to do an heist job in her own homeland. Nothing upstairs apart from the packaging and the list of damaging economic theories given to her by her imperial paymasters.
People like her typically see their countrymen as less than human. |
