Same of the same. It's all about personal interest;never has it been about the interest of the nation. Tinubu has gotten his candidate as vp,why must He also be the one to determine who becomes senate president and speaker of house of reps? Is Nigeria his father's property? Let the senators themselves choose who leads them.

In a democratic setting? Not possible. I'd simplyy walk away at that point, knowing fully well that under military rules, they are not permitted to beat women.

I was going to ask the same thing.
Ezenwammadu:
Why should federal govt pay salaries of state workers. Each state has governors and has federal allocation. Why shouldn't they work hard to generate internal revenue if they feel that the allocation is too small.

Nigeria is cursed with the worst set of governors
Politics › Re: Twist In Petition To Withdraw Okonjo-iweala's Yale Doctorate by chronique(m): 4:38pm On May 23, 2015
Nigeria,a country inhabited and populated by over 70% dummies. People just follow the crowd mentality to do things;they don't have a mind of their own. They respond to critical issues affecting the nation, with sentiments rather than logic. Today, some people see OBJ as a hero, but are so quick to condemn the PDP and blame the party for all the country's woes. They claim PDP did nothing in 16 yrs but forget the fact that the OBJ they call hero, was in charge of PDP for 8 out of 16yrs. This obviously means their hero destroyed Nigeria for good 8 yrs.

Today, they call NOI all manner of names all because she served in GEJ's govt. But they fail to acknowlege the role she played in stabilizing the Nigerian economy during the OBJ years. They have suddenly forgotten how She helped Nigeria exit the Paris club debt to the tune of 30billion dollars. Majority of the people signing petitions against Her,do not even realized that the institution that gave her the award,is an ivy league school and must have done proper research on Her performance, before awarding her with the degree.

I have said it before and I'd say it again;the generation that will destroyy this country Nigeria,is this present generation. This generation have the best of resources that the world has ever known,to enable them find out information and gain knowledge within the shortest possible time frame. Yet,this generation do not have as much information/knowledge/intellectual prowess like the previous generations had. This means that they have virtually little or nothing to pass down to the upcoming generation cos they can't give what they do not have. This being said, how would the generation next look like? Can anyone see why I say the future of Nigeria looks bleak?
Politics › Re: Ben Bruce Proffers Solution To Nigeria's Fuel Scarcity, Suffers Backlash by chronique(m): 12:04pm On May 23, 2015
The fact is that majority of Nigerians are actually plain stupid and most don't even think before talking or responding. Furthermore, the poor educational background of most Nigerians, makes their stupidit shine bright like diamonds.

First of all,Ben said He "introduced" not invented. Whyy are Nigerians so quick to insult Him? Has anyy of the major automobile manufacturers introduced the electric car to the Nigerian market? Even in Europe where these cars are majorly found, the % of people using it there,is low. Diesel cars sell more there cos diesel is cheap. Moreover, the electric cars haven't gained much ground there cos its relatively a new technology, and it's still evolving. This car uses solar energy(as far as I know) and we all know the Europeans don't have access to as much solar energy from the sun,as much as we have here in Africa. This could be a factor as to why the electric car hasn't gained enough grounds as it should over there.
With the amount of scortching sun we receive here in Africa,it would only make sense that we take advantage of this technology. I'm surpised people are talking about lack of electricity to charge the car;this just shows how ignorant most Nigerians are. A solar powered car would definitely keeping charging itself so long as it can draw energy consistently and constantly, from the sun.

Nigerian youths really need to change their myopic way of reasoning, and open their minds to learning and reading more about issues before they dabble into such discussions. I have driven a hybrid car that is powered by both petrol engine and a battery, and I understand fully how an electric car works. All the battery needs,is a constant source of electricity/energy and this can be provided by constantly drawing direct energy from the sun,or by having power being supplied to it from a petrol or deisel powered engine.
Romance › Re: Ladies Be Sincere, Would You Date Any Of These Guys?? by chronique(m): 3:15am On May 22, 2015
If u are a lady and you are married to anyy of these guys, make sure you are very obedient at home. If you have issues with hubby, make sure you don't report to your family. If you report to them, make sure they don't make the mistake of coming to shout on hubby or fight him. If they make the mistake of coming, make sure that they stay far away from him while insulting him. If they make the mistake of coming close to him, make sure you call an ambulance as soon as possible. Thank you.
Politics › Re: Majority Of Nigerians Are Intellectually Retar-ded by chronique(m): 11:56pm On May 21, 2015
@ op: I agree with you but I don't think it's just about the Hausas or Muslims;no. There are so many intellectually challenged folks spread around the country from the south to the east and among Christians and muslims(I even think they are evenly shared amongst both religions). You don't need to look far for facts to back up yyour claims. Nairaland is enough for yyou to do your research and make your conclusion.
Politics › Re: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala And The Petitions To YALE by chronique(m): 11:39pm On May 21, 2015
Don't mind the overzealous mor0ns. If they have been writing petitions against their leaders who squander their wealth,I'm sure Nigeria would have move farther than it is today. It didn't occur to them that the folks at Yale don't reason in the stupid way theyy reason. And I'm quite sure that if you ask majority of them to defend their certificates, they wouldn't be able to. Overzealous internet activists.
baybeeboi:
those who wrote those petitions are just being stûpid.
What's their business?
.
We cannot not find way to petion our state Governors, ministers and senators who are busy squandering our resources but we go as far as Yale to petition An award given to someone.

How do we grow as a Nation?

Politics › Re: BREAKING: Ngozi Okonjo-iweala's Honorary Doctorate Degree To Be Withdrawn by chronique(m): 8:06am On May 21, 2015
Rubbish! The mor0n who filed the petition should be reminded that NOI job isn't to prosecute corrupt officials as she doesn't work with the EFCC or ICPC. From Her office, she can only put in place policies that would prevent corrupt practices. She wasn't in charge of the NNPC and cannot be held accountable for any wrong doing there. Furthermore, the financial and business world globally, work with data gotten/provided and this is what the world bank and other leading bodies globally, have used in predicting the growth of the Nigerian economy.
The petitioner should go look for a job to do;period!

Hmmmmm. How true is this? If true, what kind of heart does Amaechi have? Why this level of bitterness towards Wike? This is the same Wike that helped Amaechi garner all the grassroot support and made in popular during his first stint in office. It just shows you how humans can be terrible.

Sorry if I sound harsh but trust me,I have seen quite a lot on NL. Like I said,I only start taking people serious when they call me. I have a pearl white 2012 toyota highlander with 6k miles for sale but most of the people from NL think it's expensive @ 7.3m. Average market price is between 6.2m - 6.5m with an average mileage of 25k miles. I need to sell it off asap to clear a container alread sitting at the port for 4 weeks now. Vehicles in the container are: 1 unit of 2011 venza,1 unit of 2014 corollla,1 unit of 2014 accord and 1 unit of 2012 volkswagen bug. guy chill this is the same hot tempered response i was cautioning you against take a deep breath and read what i wrote again incase you cant i am only pointing out that if someone prior to pricing the car did their research and saw a car such as the link i provided then they are likely to find yours expensive and complain about the price you as a business man should be able to bring real facts about why yours is priced as such and why a customer should part with the extra money and secondly overpricing anything is not such a good idea sometimes as if people see a price that is above their budget they are less likely to even haggle example if i budget 6m and i come and see yours at 8.8m i might just move on as the difference is budget is a lot. like i said calm down not everyone that replies on your thread is criticizing you and like i said happy sales and hope i get a cut of the profit for all this typing tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

Are you sure you are actually a lady? As a lady, you should know that women lose their beauty and shape when they get pregnant, due to the increase in size of their body structure. Theyy tend to add excess weight.
