Politics › Re: Omotosho Power Plant II To Be Commissioned By President Jonathan Today by chronique(m): 10:39am On Oct 05, 2013

What type of human being are you? Do you even know what it means to comprehend an issue before you talk? What kind of education were you given? Did you read the original post before commenting? Where did they say in that post, that GEJ built it? So because he commissioned it,he's now a vulture taking praise for another man's job? Where on earth did you get the idea that commissioning a completed project explicitly means you're the originator of the project? Smh. When foreigners see people like you talking on nairaland, they'd think this is how most Nigerians are. Please, don't just talk and contribute because people are talking. Talk when you have something meaningful to contribute or you keep quiet and learn.

shachris03: Dude, can you build a house without foundation? OBJ 'wasted' 8 years laying the foundation for most of this 'privatized' power project that GEJ is going about playing the vulture and reaping where he did not sow. OBJ is a man with foresight. He had a master plan for Nigeria unlike most clueless presidents that just go about building rampant project.

GET your facts right, the power plant in question was built on a partnership with a private company http://www.nipptransactions.com/ndphc-generating-companies/omotosho-power-plant/ Actually, the company even owns it.

It is not the Nigerian Government that built it. GEJ sold out the company where OBJ and Yar'dua left it. He is merely a vulture taking the glory for what he contributed nothing in achieving.

Travel › Re: You want to COME TO AMERICA - Do You REALLY Know America? by chronique(m): 10:21pm On Oct 04, 2013

@ op: I have read a lot of your posts and would love to commend you for a good job done in enlightening those who have the mental capacity to decipher all you've written here. A lot of nairalanders lack the ability to reason effectively and argue logically;they argue mostly, based on sentiments and emotions. Most do not take time to read and understand(what we call comprehension),before they start typing/replying. So many times on NL,I've read comments that depict a different thing from what the original poster wrote on the thread and at such instances,I end up going back to re-read the thread to make sure I'm not the one who didn't read it well. I would advice you not to waste too much time arguing with people. Those who are intelligent enough, will pick what they need from the thread and would appreciate it. Understand perfectly that not everyone would understand what you're doing. Afterall,in school, when a teacher teaches a class and sets exam, not all the students end up passing.

@ those calling him names and criticising him: all I beg of you guys,is that you slowly go back to re-read his first post and pay attention to the sub-headers written bodly.

Car Talk › Re: Road Trip On A Motorcycle From Lagos To Accra & Back To Lagos. by chronique(m): 5:55pm On Oct 04, 2013

Hmmm! @ op: I noticed a group of bikers riding through my lot on that egbeda road leading to lasu last week or thereabout. Also noticed same thing about 2 weeks back. Were you part of them or do they belong to your group? Sometimes, they ride in convoy @ night and I usually pity them though. I used to admire the harley davidson, kawasaaki and ducati power bikes way back and always dreamt of owning one. But one terrible bike accident I had that almost took my life, has made me stay away from anything on 2 wheels for the rest of my life. I hardly climb okada and can't risk being on it on major roads. Wish you guys luck though.
