For the dude that passed the ielts that is complaining bitterly, please be thankful to God.

I have written ielts 7 times. My journey started since 2015. My Wes has been ready since then, but because of age and ielts, I have been falling short. I wrote ielts and got moderate score. I didn't know what was required then, since then, it has been a battle for me. My last 3 scores were 8,7.5,7,6... 7.5,7.5,7.5,7... 7.5,8,7,7..after the 6th one in June, I swore I was done with this dream. I had sunk so much money into this. I have gone to dubai to write celpip, went to dubai again for new brunswick info session, spent money 2ice on SINP and all to no avail. I was frustrated and devastated. July, I told my spouse to let me try ielts one more time. Even thou she didn't want to see me hurt again, she let me have my way. As for her she was done. She wanted the dream closed and buried. I don't blame her. So I paid and decided to change venue, this time I went to Ibadan, meaning I was spending more again. Then something changed. I prayed a lot about it. For catholics amongst us, please pray the prayers for exams to St Joseph of Cupertino. I went into the hall, did my best and left. I couldn't even beat my chest about my performance. I have been humbled by Ielts. But I kept on praying. I am not going to fail the 7th time. In between that time, a stranger in Lere2017 on this platform came into my life. She needed something from me. I actually wasn't in the mood to talk to her (reply her pm) but I did. We got talking and I told her my story. She was touched and she also truly prayed for me seriously. She will send me messages almost everyday telling me how much I was in her prayers and letting me know all is well. Yesterday midnight was the most awkward time of my life.. From 12 am till 7 am this morning, I was refreshing ielts website to check my result. The fear and panic was too intense. When I didn't see anything, I decided to go to their office to pick up my result.. That drive was filled with swallowing stone like saliva. On the bridge, I decided to refresh it again.. My result was there. My soul left my body and my eyes became blurry. I didn't know what I was reading but I knew I was reading.. L-9, R-8,S-8,W-7

I felt water swell up in my eyes. I understood what it is to look for something within your grasp and yet not have it. I am still basking in this euphoria so I can't real explain my ordeals. So please if you have it on a platter of gold, don't come here to rub it in on people that are going through a lot of even have a slice of what you have. For me the journey starts soon. Unfortunately, obtaining a positive assessment is minimal. For your husband have a positive assessment as an HR Adviser, his core job function(s) must be in Human Resources management or HR admin. Another major requirement is a one-year post-qualification experience after obtaining the Masters in HRM

he has bsc public admin from a state university and will get his masters(human resources) this year from that same university. he is an admin officer in a govt job with five years experience. Ma,i will like to know his chances of scaling through.

from my readings so far,his bsc will be equivalent to Australia Associate degree,but with his msc,can it be upgraded to AQF degree?

Required Skill Level:

This occupation (HR Adviser) requires a qualification which is assessed as comparable to the educational level of an AQF Bachelor
degree or higher degree, in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation; thus your BSc Pub Admin if assessed as Asso Degree, cannot be upgraded to AQF BSc)

In addition to this, applicants must have at least one year of post-qualification employment [/b]at an appropriate skill level [b](That is work experience after your masters in HRM)
Nevertheless,  If employment is not postqualification, then five additional years of highly relevant employment [/b]are required.

If the degree is not in a highly relevant field, three years of employment at an appropriate skill level completed in the
last five years in a field which is [b]highly relevant to the nominated occupation (your HR work Experience) is required. This is reduced to two years if there is an additional qualification at least at AQF Diploma level in a highly relevant field.

A positive assessment of both qualifications and employment is required for a positive Skills Assessment Outcome.

If you claim that HR is a branch of Public Administration, are your core subjects in HR? if yes do these subjects reflect on your transcript? You also stated that you have close to 6 years HR work experience, however, a year of work experience will be deducted during assessment; therefore you will be left with less than 5 years work experience.

Congratulations! Since bSc from Nigeria is assessed as Associate degree, I have bsc in Public administration from a state University and an Msc in Human resource management from a federal university of agriculture With close 6years working Experience in HR, my question is as fellows:

With my Msc In HRM can my bsc in Public Administration be upgraded to a AQF BSc?

I do not have Post experience yet as I just concluded my Msc, will my Pre experience be counted since HR is a branch of Public Administration?

Qualification/s: 1. Bachelor of Arts (English) awarded in 2005 by the University of Lagos, Nigeria is assessed as comparable to the
educational level of an AQF Bachelor degree and is therefore at the required level.

2. Master of Human Resource Management -Monash University, Melbourne, Australia AQF Master degree and is therefore at the required level.

Field of study Human Resource Management is highly relevant. Number of years assessed positively: 5.6 ( 10 points)

Yes, VETASSES will not count your pre Masters work experience.

However, going by what you have, you don't need to disturb yourself with the work experience. You have the minimum point required..

Add 5 points to your score for study in Australia.

Are you saying that my HR work experience after my 1st degree is irrelevant and will not be counted as part of my work experience??(2010-2013)

Nevertheless, my points based on the present calculation are:
Age =25
Language ability= 20
Qualification= 15
Visa 190=5

Thanks for the prompt response. I must state that I have read through the requirements and super sure that I meet the requirements. However, a friend of mine informed me that I may not receive a positive assessment from VETASSESS.

Let me expatiate more on my case.

I obtained a bachelor (Hons) in English 2005, University of Lagos. With reference to applying for HR professional occupation, I started my HR career in 2010 (HR department). In 2014 I went on study leave and in 2015, I obtained a masters degree in Human Resource Management (Australia).Presently, I have worked for 1yr and 7months, Post highly relevant qualification.

I have done several HR job trainings before and after my masters degree. I am also an Associate member of CIPM and a professional member, Australia Human Resource institute.(AHRI)

Do you think I am good to go? if yes, will my years of work experience be counted from 2010, through when I went on study leave with full pay till date?

They don't have detailed document for the occupations you listed. However, in their general occupation list explanation, if you don't study a relevant qualification for those occupations, you must have at least three years experience in them to get a positive assessment.

Hello everyone, I have been going through this tread for a while and it's really an eye opener.For those that said good things about Australia, love you guys cos in inspire me and for pessimistic ones, abeg make una take am easy nah, u guys have not even been there, you are just reacting on hearsay..Although I have not been there before, my colleagues that recently came back from study leave gave me a broad info about Australia. Cost of accomodation is quite high, i.e places like Perth and Sydney but in all Australia is the place to be.As i dey chat now, I dey there(in spirit)...LOL .

I intend to travel to th US during my annual leave.I work in the training and development dept in my organization and i am also involved in projects at work.
Can i apply for a workshop,seminar or conference related to my job function?and besides i do not know what site to go to in search for this.
I am a single mum and have travelled twice go the UK last year during my leave.I work in a reputable paratastal in Abuja,my salary 6 figures apart from my quarterly bonuses.please i need info ASAP .

Most men these days are weaklings,they are broke, i am not trying to insult the guys here,so pls do not get me wrong, we all know the level of unemployment in Nigeria,if there are jobs of course i know guys are willing to spend money on a woman, but on the other hand there are guys who are not willing to look for jobs, or should i say start from somewhere, the guys u find these days are more like leeches looking for young or even older comfortable women to suck from.its really sad .
