Fell prey to this nonsense twice! The texts were worded somewhat differently and locations were different. We were even asked to do a written test, 1st time i just left without doing the test. second time i left during the lecture after the test! You shoulda seen the number of executives there. everyone assumed they were serious people, though the crappy ass setting should've have told us they're dubious people!

My broda, the thing just dey like jazz. At a point, i really didn't know what i was doing there anymore.

I saw a job post online for the position of an ICT Engineer in a firm called EXCEL LIFESTYLE. Since i haven't heard about the firm before, i decided to Google it, to my surprise i found nothing about them. Irrespective of that fact, i decided to go ahead and apply for the post. About 10 minutes after i applied, i got an invite telling me to come today(14/10/2015) by 8am for an oral assessment(i come be like God don answer my prayer today).

Fast forward to today, i woke up by 5am, did my devotion, had my bath and started rushing down to the venue(it was like an hour from my end). Got there by exactly 7:45am.

On getting there, the surrounding looked suspicious (all this old secretariat building that have been abandoned for years, very unkempt). I felt more relaxed when i met others coming for the interview. We were about 50 in number.

On being the first person to arrive, i was interviewed first by the supposed HR manager, she had this strict attitude. She asked me about my career objective on my cv, i paraphrased it and she was like i should give it to her word to word. Kindly said i couldn't. She asked some other questions and i gladly answered and that was it. She then said i should switch off my phone and not talk to anyone and wait for stage 2.

NOW THE MAIN GIST =>After everyone was interviewed by the woman, one guy (who claims to be a staff) came to lecture us for about 4 hours (at this point i was feeling very suspicious, because i have never seen this kind of lecture at an interview before). They even played videos for us on a projector.

In summary, after all the lecture (but i must confess, the dude is a smooth/sweet talker), the guy was like any one who is interested in being a public speaker like him should pay N6000. If your not interested go home. That was the end of the screening exercise.

Am a graduate, done with service. Currently work at a radio station as an ICT Engineer(Intern). Had to take permission from my boss to go face this crap!!.. God save this country.

Things like this happen sometimes in life. It doesn't have to make you sad. It could end up being a blessing in disguise for you. I'll however advice like vinci500 stated to find the reason for your refusal from the school. Most school requires applicants getting course advisors before they are admitted and defaulting can be enough reason to be denied admission. Secondly, don't put all eggs in one basket. I'll advice you apply to 2-3 schools next time to increase your chances / options. Cheer up!

I have mailed them concerning the rejection, am yet to get a response from them.

So sorry to hear about that. However, there is no university in Canada anyone on here would recommend that would guarantee you admission (no matter what your GPA is). This is why most applicants make the wise decision of applying to several schools, in order to mitigate the risk of ending up with zero admissions. Risk management is extremely important. I would suggest you apply to 3-4 schools in your next application. Also, since your GPA is not high (it only meets the minimum requirements) it is even much more important that you apply to more schools and prepare a very strong SOP.

Don't be sad bro. It is not the end of the world, you will recover from it as long as you apply strategically next time. Be encouraged.

PS: People on the thread would be able to better help you if you tell us what course you were applying for. Different schools offer different courses. Also, what's your undergraduate degree course?

Good morning house. As i type this post, am a very sad man. I just checked my application status for the University Of Regina last night and i found out i wasn't accepted. I waited approximately 2 months for this decision, and that was the only school i applied to. I really don't know where to start at the moment.
Am a graduate of ANUC ghana with a CGPA of 3.08/4. Please someone should recommend a Canadian school for me with a less tedious admission process. Thank you

Last week Monday, i was at work when i received a phone call from airtel claiming that i have won N5000 from the airtel hit a million promo. At first i taught it was a scam, but i decided to play along(btw i had nothing to loose).
The airtel customer care agent asked me how i will like to receive the cash, either by airtime or to my account. I choose account, he asked if i had a current account, i said no. He was now like i can only receive it on a current account.
In order to strike even, i decided to accept it via airtime. And to my greatest surprise, by Tuesday morning my line was credited with N5000.
Eventually i was happy, but the down side of the story is that i would have preferred cash instead. I still haven't been able to sell it up till today. So annoying

If ur USB debugging is enabled on the phone yes its possible but first u must have android USB drivers or beta still mtk drivers for it to work I will upload a link of d files to download for u and share..in a moment

I have come across such a problem before. This was my solution, hope it works for you;
Unplug power cord and take out the battery.
Then hold down the Power on button for approx 30 secs.
Once done replace the battery and power cord and start up
as normal. The problem should now be solved.

The battery might be worn out/damaged. Would need replacement!

Noisy fan is usually associated with a faulty hardware. Does the system boot to start menu?
