Imo Govt. strikes $2bn partnership deal for Industrial Park

The Imo State government has signed a two billion dollars’ partnership with an international group, African Development Funding Group, to build and develop the proposed Imo Industrial Park.
The park will be built in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed at the Ndubuisi Kanu Executive Chambers at the Government House in Owerri the capital of Imo State in southeast Nigeria.
The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, told reporters that the proposed Imo Industrial Park in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area would generate over one million jobs for youths not only in the state but in the country.
He said that the project would turn Imo State into an investment haven which would boost the economy of the country and also increase her gross domestic product.
Meanwhile, the Vice President of the African Development Funding Group, Duncan Otieno, said they were willing to partner with Imo State to actualise the project with main focus on road infrastructure, agriculture, construction, and logistics in the industrial park.
One of the delegates from the African Development Funding Group is the Nigerian Consul General to South Africa Mrs Uche Ajulu-Okeke.

Another 2billion USD to be stolen, the industrial park proposed in Delta is nowhere, got a feeling this is a white elephant project. States should invest in practicable things, agriculture, roads and basic infrastructure.

As a leader of a nation like Nigeria, stubbornness is a very important attribute. Why? you could as Margaret Thatcher. The former finances minister spoke of how State Governors pressured GEJ to spend and share money that was supposed to be saved for a time like this, but he bent over now he are struggling. Stubbornness or been strong willed is an attribute of a leader standing firm on what you believe in, there is a saying "If you do not stand for something, you did fall for everything".

Our primary reason for getting into this mess was because GEJ government stole the nation dry and made no investment or saved up for the rainy day.

Excellent view, the fact that the previous government did terribly with the huge excess billion of dollars and no investments or savings, has us in this mess. On Dangote being a "Saint" he's a business man and aligns with the side in power to grow his business, that's how it is everywhere. This government should not considered sell off an asset like the NLNG.

1. Delete cached maps.
