The reason why the Op was not taken serious was because he is selling like the typical na long or tiny plug parts sellers. Every car has a plug number. The fact that a Mercedes plug is star does not mean that they are all the same thing for all Mercedes. In 2008, I once bought a star plug for my E240 Mercedes at Ojuelegba and I was given a so called a so called original Star plug. Then the Internet was still archaic as there were no smartphone, I took the number of the plug and went home and checked my plug manual and it showed the Star plug was for A140 Mercedes AClass. A 140 plug on an E240 12 plugs car. Disaster averted. A range rover sports supercharged does not use the same plug number as the Hse. That should be the goal if anyone is buying spark plugs for any car hence used plug is a no go area

So what's the best plug for C240 ? I noticed my idling is rough in the morning but clears after like 1 km, also mpg is low

take the car to another benz mechanic cos the one handling your job clearly don't know what he is doing. I think you have a fuel filter or pump problem.

Tnx Bro, with all d kazeemisation there, it behaves well when there is plenty fuel there, d prob starts when it goes beyond half tank.

Your car has one fuel pump under the passenger side back seat,the one inside the driver side rear seat is the guage.The problem with your car is that the fuel pump is weak/faulty.Get a new fuel pump and the problem will be solved.

But how does the car behave if you have full tank?

Hi Gurus in d house, ps how many fuel pump does a c240 has? Since I left d car with one kazeem over fuel pump issue d car has been nightmarish. After buying fuel and starting d car, within minutes d car will stall and on inspection will notice that all d fuel has been pumped to the other chamber and none to d engine. Many Kazeem hv tried to sort this but to no avail, rt now there r 2 pumps there, one In each chamber, as d fuel is being pumped to d second chamber chamber, d other pump returns it to the first chamber. With all these d car is still not moving well. Ps Gurus, ur advices are badly needed here.

U r very rght my brother,ur maintenance starts with u.i am currently driving a 2001 bmw I bought 6 yrs ago and that car is my most trusted and stable amongst my w203 and big daddy, all bc of my personal dexterity. I have read All replies here. You people don't know anything about vehicles. You want your mechanic to do all the thinking despite your education. These mechanisms are not rocket science as its something anybody can understand. I became a mechanic to myself because I research about problems I encountered on my vehicle. I tell my mechanic Wat to do. I do the troubleshooting myself. I am not undermining their experiences but there is limit to what there thinking could get to. Some are shallow thinkers. Every vehicle brand has its own problems. I have pictures of broken-down vechles of many brands. Problem starts when you allow your timing belt to cut. It's takes God's grace to get it back to normal. Some of you use inferior car chargers and complain your vehicle has electrical problem. You park your car with the mechanic and leave. You don't know what happens afterwards. Over maintenance is what is killing some of us. Mechanics using defective tools to work. Not respecting fit and tolerances, avoiding specified oil grades because of cost. Some are Ill advised by mechanic. These are our major problem. I have been using Volvo s80 for 3+ years i have not encountered any big problem . I hardly get flat tires and i use tokunbo tires with special selection. It's always a serious problem changing my tyres because I hardly loose the nuts . I change my tyre when the groove is less not when it has been patched severally. You are a car owner. Ordinary OBD II car scanner you no get and your are driving 3M worth of car.. Ordinary multi meter you no get let alone having a small tool box. Most of these faults are small faults o but when your mechanic start tampering with other vehicle parts, they hardly restore them back to original position. Be wise my people and develop problem solving skills

There are are mainly two sensors that will make the ur fan to run at maximum speed whenever you start d car.

1. Coolant temperature sensor.
2.Air conditioner pressure switch.

If you are getting the proper coolant temperature reading on your instrument cluster then the coolant temperature sensor working ok. But if not you should change it.

The AC pressure switch is one little devil that can give you sleepless nights cos its hard to detect when it fails and it can cause a lot of problems.
It can turn off the AC compressor on its own and make the fan to run on high speed.
When it fails mechanics will be at a loss what is happening to ur car, they will change parts after parts but until it's replaced you will never enjoy ur car.

Ps my c240 fan is always on and at a high speed at that, what's d cause and d implication for a long distant journey (abuja to enugu). D car has been throwing up a lot of issues lately though.
