blakmonsta:I beg to disagree. B will be the best anyday, anytime. 1. An attack and defense deficient lady will have problems delivering my child. 2. After birth, her previously negligible onions shrinks and becomes slippers. 3. During pregnancy my plump chick actually grows bigger baloons. (Enough milk yay!) 4. After birth my plump chick becomes Ikebe super (who can resist that?) |
I think this is a very repulsive thread! I hope you are not trying to encourage atheism. Its only a dunce that would refuse to realize the existence of a supreme being. |
I never used to drool, but in my 3rd year of the university where I used to share a one bunk bed with a friend, I developed this bad habit. I originally thought it was a result of the fact that I was sleeping in a cramped space, but unfortunately it continued even after I moved out of the room. No matter how i try, I can't stop. I've tried washing my mouth vigorously before I go to bed, but I still end up drooling. I'm open to any solution. |
Rambo Terminator Lethal weapon 4 Matrix (ohh, i cried thru out) Commando |
I have read Pillars of The Earth. Was quite good, but too long |
uzygirl:lol! You're crazy o! |
You are all lying through your noses. You dont regret leaving Naija yet you spend most of your days on Nairaland. You look for african kitchens over there, you're always on the phone or facebooking with your Nigerian family and friends. Face it, you miss home but you are scared of coming back. You guys fear poverty. |
fstranger:I dont know which article you read but the one i saw was signed by the prof. I wont dignify your latter rant with a response |
DapoBear:Tinubu and his likes are crooks who are harming the nation from within. I would be the first to denounce all our eastern leaders. But for christ sakes this man is a nigerian in diaspora, his accuser was another nigerian in diaspora. We might kill ourselves with tribal sentiments within the country but i expect us to have eachother's backs outside our shores. Nigeria already has a battered reputation with the international community, emegweali was a beacon of light in the overwhelming darkness, one of the few people who have nigerians hope that we could aspire to be something better than 419 crooks. What the prof toyin and SR hope to achieve by ipublishing such an article? |
I have always thought of myself as one beyond tribal sentiments. I truly believe in one Nigeria. But when I read the article about emegweali on SR. All i could think of was how tribalistic the writer was, if emegweali was a yoruba man, will that stupid prof have attacked him? The writeup was vicious and at times petty. I was sorely disappointed that a fellow nigerian would do this in the guise of defending the black race. And we talk about one nigeria. |
Like the reporter wrote at the beginning, this sounds like a fairytale. Did he really meet this kidnapper or he just made up this story to enhance his career? Apart from what he wrote, there's no evidence that he met with osisikankwu. |
babasoty:I would like to take you back to what someone said earlier in this forum: Just create the enabling environment and everything will fall into place. You mentioned hollywood and bollywood i.e the US and India. These countries have do not suffer from epileptic power supply, they do no have roads that double as death traps. These countries made sure the necessary basic amenities were in place. yes! a lot of money has been poured into these sectors but due to poor management and non existent project monitoring, we are yet to see the benefits. There is no guarantee that this dollars will even go to the intended users, there is a very big possibility that it would be diverted. |
@wesley80, I was replying another comment in which the poster insulted me and so, I just repaid him in kind. I did not appreciate your comment about me yapping my mouth. I don't like insulting people unnecessarily. |
wesley80:my friend I didn't direct any comment to you so please shut your trap. As far I'm concerned I have already explained my position and I wont repeat myself! |
Ikengawo:What are you talking about? So the best way support Nollywood is by investing $200mil? Its obvious from the emboldened part that you are just a dunce, for your information i am based in 9ja and the internet is readily available in the country, better go back to your cave and continue hibernating. |
Alxmyr:Nollywood is probably Nigeria's only thriving industry and yes! It would be good for the government to invest in it, but there's a time for everything! What will pouring 200mil do for our battered economy? And seriously?! You worry about ghana overtaking nollywood? Ghana has surpassed 9ja in virtually every aspect! From electricity to healthcare to education to provision of basic infrastructures! And you worry about them taking over the film industry?! |
Beaf:I used ASUU and NLC to demonstrate the fact that the country has a thousand and one sectors that are in dire need of attention, I'm not saying he shouldn't pour money into the entertainment industry, but he should please solve the obvious problems first! |
I was just looking through Mr President's facebook page and his latest status proudly announced the investment of 200million dollars in our entertainment industry? I'm shocked!!! here is the post below: During my series of notes in the run up to Nigeria's fiftieth independence anniversary, I expressed a desire to grow Nigeria's entertainment industry into a world class one where we would see Nollywood movies being played in theatres and grossing hundreds of millions of Naira as well as have recording artists like Tuface Idibia, Dbanj, Banky W, P-Square, Timi Dakolo, Weird MC and co selling millions of records and generating wealth for themselves, their record companies, marketers and tour promoters and by so doing expanding the non oil sector of the economy. Now in furtherance of this, I have just attended the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Silverbird group where I announced a Federal investment of 200 million dollars (about 30 billion naira) as a direct intervention lifeline for the exclusive purpose of supporting artist and developing our entertainment industry. This may not be a lot of money, but it is a beginning. In seeking to diversify Nigeria's revenue base, we must think outside the box and I am expectant that this fund will make Nigeria the African entertainment capital in the not too distant future. It is my vision that every producer whether in the film or music industry, every actor or actress, fashion designers or artist must have opportunity to access cheap, long-term funding to grow their business: make movies, write hit songs, build malls, build cinemas, provide jobs and give hope to our people!GEJhttp://www.facebook.com/notes/goodluck-jonathan/investing-in-the-entertainment-industry/169665536394423 Talk about misplaced priorities!!! ASUU is gearing up for a strike, NLC is doing the same over the wage increment he stupidly announced and never implemented, our power sector is in shambles, we are still importing the fuel we use, Nigerians are dying everyday on the Benin-Ore road, and this man is giving away $200mil !!! GEJ keeps shooting himself in the foot! I was glad to see that it was not the usual blind followers commenting on his fb page. This time, they were all skeptical about this new development and were openly critical about it. Methinks this man is not capable of managing a pair of toddlers talkless of a whole nation! God help us! |
I actually do, I visit thepiratebay all the time, can't do without it. Actually I suspected it was because of the torrents so I've deleted my utorrent but its saddening that starcomms cannot come out and give a concrete reason for disconnecting me. |
God of mercy! What kind of church is this? Sote person go de balance de read newspaper? While others de celebrate arsenal! Kai! Whats this world turning into? |
Extremely dumb post! and dumber poster! and for all those who are dropping their e-mails, dumbest!!! You guys actually fancy yourselves as players, how arrogant! Poster, I guess you have nothing better to do rather than to promote such foolishness. |
What is wrong with starcomms? Last month my internet connection was deactivated for no just cause. Upon inquiry i was told that my data line was suspended because of spam activities. What spam activities? I asked them, they told me copyright infringement. I ended up filling an undertaken form promising not to visit the so called spam sites. without really knowing what they were. Even the staff at their abuja office were unable to explain. Its my understanding that ISP's block sites that are supposed to be illegal. They don't go disconnecting clients without notice. This has happened to a lot of people i know and they have discarded their lines as a result of this. So please my fellow nairalanders. Do you have any idea of sites i am not supposed to visit? I would really hate for my line to be disconnected again. |
Is this meant to be a campaign strategy? If so, then this guy is totally clueless. When he's supposed to be telling us his vision for the nation, he's busy organising competitions up and down, first it was sing4vote now this? |
Blah blah blah, You must be extremely stuck up. What do you expect Nigerians to do? Whine and moan about the numerous issues plaguing the country? BBA, as inane as you think it might be, offers an escape from our troubles. I'll rather occupy my time watching the show and savoring the temporary elation it offers than wasting my energy poring over problems I know i'm powerless to do nothing about. |
aieromon:Thanks a lot. I appreciate the effort. |
Please i need help hacking my nokia 5800. My IMEI no. is 358247038810318. Software version is V 50.0.005. My addy is trychux@yahoo.com thanks! |
I read the actual article in saharareporters. I was shocked that a fellow nigerian in diaspora would do this to one of his own. Emeagwali might have overstated some things but it doesn't take away the fact that he's a very brilliant man. The Gordon Bell award was not by accident. How many Nigerians can lay claim to that? The article was childish, petty and vindictive at best. If the author had stuck to his evidence, it might have been a good expose, but he went on and on about petty and irrelevant facts like how the Gordon Bell award was worth a thousand dollars etc. It almost sounded as if the author were jealous of Mr. Emeagwali. Shame on Prof. Toyin! |

@spicehoney, you are splitting hairs. Abuja is more or less like a state. All the districts within the FCT are collectively known as Abuja. Just like the name, Lagos, was coined from a town within the state, the same with Enugu. |
spicyhoney:I don't stay in the main Abuja town. I begin to wonder why most people insist on differentiating Abuja from Abuja town. They all fall under the FCT. That is where my comparison lies, I refuse to look at Abuja as just its elite cities. |
