You are a confused mammal.
What is the difference between Gongo Aso and Tradition as far as the language used is concerned.
If your listening ears can pick out the lyrics of Gongo Aso, i see no reason why it couldn't pick Tradition's lyrics.
The same Yoruba language was used
You are a deranged mammal. Mumu. I brought up the language issue with respect to the grammys. Most of my favoriite songs happen to be yoruba songs and even though i dont understand what is being said, the beats alone keep me occupied. Music aint all about the lyrics. In my opinion, Tradition sounded like wat we would have expected from the likes of pasuma or obesere. It was made strictly for the yorubas, and like the name suggests it was just plain traditional.

ignorance is a disease!
if you have something to say then say it! dont drop nonsensical one-liners. I think you're the ignorant one. mumu.
Music/RadioRe: Do You Think Any Nigeria Musician Can Win a Grammy? by Chuks84(m): 12:13pm On Mar 19, 2010
I'm suprised that a lot of people like 9ice's tradition, i thought it was total crap, i couldn't even listen to one song on it. it was an extreme let down afta coming out wit Gongo - Aso. To make matters worse, folks are saying he's capable of winning a grammy! Are u guys highhuh To start with albums like tradition appeal to only one tribe, if you are not yoruba, you'll surely get a headache from listening to it. you should note that most grammy winners are selected based on the fact that their songs appeal to a wide range of people and its cuts across cultural, social and language barriers. The only way someone like 9ice would ever win a grammy is if a category is created for Best Yoruba Album, and that, my brothers and sistas will neva happen!
TravelRe: How Expensive Is Nigeria At Present? by Chuks84(m): 10:04am On Dec 02, 2009
Considering my lifestyle, N20,000 would be enough. I don draw line between myself and my extended family members. I also keep a low profile. Also, my immediate family members also maintain a peaceful and quiet profile. What with UTC bread, togolese beans, garri ijebu, moin moin, ogi, akara, fufu, amala, egusi, boiled yam, plantain, efo, dundun, blue band, indomie noodles, semovita, mangoes, oranges, agbalumo, baba dudu, for food; local sponge, anchor toothbrush, ose dudu, macleans toothpaste for hygiene (no need for "toilet roll" when water still plenty); hurricane lamp and torch light, kilit insecticide and otapiapia (PHCN); N500 polyester shirts for extra clothing; I would still have extra change for danfo runs. Concerning gifts, my folks would not even request for that from me so as not to put me under pressure. Besides, I probably would have been sending them stuff and helping them get stuff beforehand. But I would still bring something to surprise them.
Do not be surprised, I have been called "Baba Ijebu" several times and we are Ijebu.
LOL, my guy, wetin u de do abroadhuh na beg u de beg? ur own pass stingy o, na disease be dis.

Oga pharaoh, e be like say u stingy well well. i dont know wch part of the country u r from but pls refrain from telling this guy to come home with just 200k, it might work for you because u r a miser. no matter how he avoids it, he will feel obliged to splash some money around, and not to mention, things are not as cheap as they were when he was in the country.

These are all sound advice. Last time i was in Naija in september this year, i spent £2,000 in one week. Stayed in hotel, N9,000 per night, feeding/drinks/transport including flights etc little over N200,000 and the rest in gifts.
Promiesed myself this should not repeat itself.

My guy which part of Nigeria are u from? SOKOTO?

I cant believe u spent just 2,000k a whole week in 9ja, or were u eating only Kuli kuli? Huh
he wrote 2000 pounds not N2000. thats more than 400k in naira.

1. you are coming home after 5 years of absence.
2. you are coming during the xmas festivities.

200k!!! you've got to be kidding, you've got family in 9ja shey? m sure they'll be expecting you to dash dem nothin less than 100k when you're leaving, talkless of the amount you are going to spend in 2wks, you are going to connect with long lost friends and you'll be the one footing the bills. seriously you should have nothin less than 500k! you are comin back from the uk for christ sakes!!! you ought to represent. and i pray u aint from the east, if u are, then you are in for it! my guy, you ought to do better than 200k, if not you would just be giving people the impression that you are stingy. make that extremely stingy. and all u guys deceiving him that 200k is enough; which country are u in? cos m sure it aint 9ja.

Me i'm still trying to wrap my head around the word: 'microcosm'. see grammer o. what does it mean. and besides naijababe should have added the Jobless: people who have nothing better to do within their time, therefore starting threads that dont make sense. i think thats where the poster fits into. but i admire her intellect though, and her writing ability.

You are a Genius, ant ya?  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

So an external party would come and disrupt spirit and you would hold the coach responsible?  Grin Grin Grin Grin

So if a Brazilian player dies of a heart malfunction a day before a WC final and dies or is a coma and his team mates lose the final they next day you will hold the coach responsible?

Genius! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
it seems you are experiencing some difficulty in understanding what i say. let me break it down for you. Amodu should hav made sure that the team never made use of their personal finances in the first place, where does that happen?  as the coach of the team he had every power to make sure the government paid for their transport . secondly that comparison you made is absolutely nonsensical and has no bearing on the issue being discussed!
SportsRe: Amodu : Can He Lead Supereagles To 2010 W/cup? by Chuks84(m): 2:18pm On Nov 19, 2009
Mr "Sharp", so it does not matter that a coach's team's spirit is destroyed before a crucial semi-final game?
Like i said, its the job of the coach to maintain the team spirit and if for any reason its destroyed, the blame should be laid at the door of that coach. As a coach, you are not only in charge of the physical aspects of the game, it is also your job to maintain the emotional well being of your team and to interceed for them if need should arise.

I have come to the conclusion that Amodu has some Godfathers within the NFA, hence the reason why we keep going back to our vomit.
SportsRe: Amodu : Can He Lead Supereagles To 2010 W/cup? by Chuks84(m): 1:32pm On Nov 19, 2009
which result?! As far as i am concerned he hasn't gotten any result and will not get any until the 2010 world cup is concluded. you seem to forget that we were extremely lucky to get the qualification. Had tunisia won, i'm sure you would have been at the fore front of those calling for Amodu's head.
SportsRe: Amodu : Can He Lead Supereagles To 2010 W/cup? by Chuks84(m): 1:25pm On Nov 19, 2009
So now you are blaming Amodu for the then NFA's announcement, a day before a crucial SF match against Senegal, that they were not going to refund the players travel cost?

coaches are paid to get results. the fact that they weren't going to be refunded shouldn't have been an issue. Infact its the job of the coach to ensure that all His players needs are met. and so, that was just another clear example of his ineptitude. look at Keshi, he was willing to risk his job as the coach of togo in order to ensure his players allowances were paid.
Ianswered your questions eons ago.

Amodu also coached Nigeria after Atlanta, it was obvious he was incompetent and he was replaced with phillipe troussier who unfortunately was no better than him. You want facts, all you have to do is watch one of our matches. we have won most of them, yes. but were u satisfied with any of these wins. its obvious to anybody that we just have one tactic: play the long ball and pray for luck. have you seen siasia's boys? even though they lose their matches, i stil get entertained, i marvel at the technical abilities of the coach, the way they pass the ball, somewhat reminiscent of arsene wengers arsenal. i wish our super eagles would play like that. some people have refused to face facts, instead they resort to calling those who are ready to point out the inadequacies of our team "Amodu Bashers".
SportsRe: Amodu : Can He Lead Supereagles To 2010 W/cup? by Chuks84(m): 11:07am On Nov 19, 2009
in case u have forgotten: there was dat debacle at the 2001 nation cup in which he was accused of his inability to discipline his player then the whole team was sacked for their dismal performance.
SportsRe: Amodu : Can He Lead Supereagles To 2010 W/cup? by Chuks84(m): 10:51am On Nov 19, 2009
the fact is that Amodu has failed us twice, but NFA disregarded that and decided to hire him once again. it is unfortunate that our football association is run  by nitwits. watching all our qualification matches; one thing was clear to me, our team lacks technical guidance, which is something amodu has failed to deliver. the only thing that has saved the team is the individual abilities of its players, no kudos can be given to the coach. its too late to do anything about Amodu, we have made our bed and so we shall lie on it and suffer the consequences. All we can do now is pray for a miracle and hope we are not thoroughly disgraced at the world cup.
RomanceRe: I Rebuked My Girlfriend For Touching Me In Church by Chuks84(m): 1:18pm On Nov 17, 2009
[tt]So what is wrong with getting a little freaky in the backrow in church? I think she was trying to create some excitement in what I suspect must be a extremely boring romantic life for her. From your comment, you sound boring, un-creative, conventional and lacking impulsiveness. You keep embarrassing her in public like that and one day, she is going to go look for some one some where who will give her that freakiness and excitement she is craving for, that you seem to think is making her go crazy.

the person that wrote this must lack morals or maybe, home training!!! For God's sake! they were in a church. any other place would have been good but not int the presence of God. poster abeg you did the right thing.

PoliticsWhat Is Deregulation? by Chuks84(op): 12:36pm On Nov 05, 2009
There has been so much talk about deregulation, its the cause of our present fuel scarcity. Being a layman, i just had to ask, what is deregulation sef?! Some colleagues explained it to me and from what i gathered, i just don't understand why it is being resisted by the Nigerian masses. I believe that once our petrol is no more subsidized and oil companies and fuel marketers are free to set their own prices, competition will eventually come into play thereby driving down the cost of our petroleum products, just like what has  and is still happening in the telecommunications industry. please i would like to hear your views.
Nairaland GeneralRe: What Are Your Views On Homosexuality? by Chuks84(m): 12:14pm On Nov 05, 2009
personally, i think homosexuality is a disease and homosexuals are mentally unstable people who need serious help. that being said, i cant really berate those who practice it because that will make me a hypocrite. for some reason i like watching two women go at it, i guess it make me mentally unstable too. i think lesbianism is less of a taboo than homosexuality in men.

Diasporians!!! Music/RadioRe: Star Quest Winners 2009 - The Pulse by Chuks84(m): 9:49pm On Apr 20, 2009
I thot star quest was a poor excuse for a reality show, hav thot so since they debuted in 2002, then i saw the pulse, and i was a believer!! Words fail me wen it comes to describing the ingenuity of that group. Watchin the show, one would think they have been together for years and not weeks, their performance of sote left me with goosebumps, the vocalists are somethin else, the beat all other contestants by far, they were in a class of their own. The only other group worth mentionin is nu sound, their pianist is very talented. Expressions was a total joke! Their vote song alone made me cringe!
