inferiority complex is a b.i.tch!
Nigerians like enslaving themselves. . . . .

wut the hell is her own sound?
there are people who av sounded like this before rihanna started singing!

i keep seeing ridiculous stuvs on nairaland!
stick to her sound? wtf is dat?
you are a nutcase, wtf does inferiority complex have to do with this? You have a way of twisting issues. listen to songs like today na today, her voice was different, but in maga no need pay and the tribute to dagrin, she was definitely striving for the rihanna sound.
Music/RadioRe: Why Is Omawunmi Sounding And Singing Like Rihanna? by Chuks84(m): 9:56am On Jun 08, 2010
I thought i was the only one that noticed, she's sounding very much like rihanna these days, she should stick to her own sound.
PoliticsRe: Nuhu Ribadu Returns To Nigeria by Chuks84(m): 7:17pm On Jun 05, 2010
Its sad knowing that a so called christian university would allow themselves to be used as political tools, on what grounds are the offering him a Doctoratehuh The whole drama stinks, Ive never been against ribadu i consider my self a fan but the way he was transformed from zero to hero overnight just tells you that there is something terribly wrong with this country of ours! I'm still waiting to see what Jonathan has cooked up for him.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland's Most Peaceful Section by Chuks84(m): 5:31pm On Jun 05, 2010
I've been on nairaland for sometime now and i'll say i have never seen a peaceful thread. once a topic is posted after 10 to 15 posts, they start abusing themselves, thereby derailing the thread. its really amusing.

TV/Movies24 Series Finale: Your Thoughts: by Chuks84(op): 8:19pm On Jun 03, 2010
I'm an ardent fan of 24, it breaks my heart knowing that after this season, it will be no more. I just watched the last episode, i couldn't help but shed a few tears at the end. THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!! JACK BAEUR FOR LIFE! Too bad he had to go on the run again but I'm happy his character was not killed off, rumour has it that there are plans to do the movie. Cant wait!!! As for the last episode, i was blown away. My favorite scene was the last one, when Jack was looking into the camera after talking to Chloe. Feel free to drop your comments, Your take on the finale, your favorite Jack Bauer moment, e.t.c

I have to agree with the first part of your statement, what most of these people are doing is medicine after death! he was not appreciated like this when he was alive. That being said, its nice to see nigerian stars coming together to support their deceased colleague.
And what was tetuila doing therehuh?

I can c dat u ar an slowpoke. Tel me d meanin of critic/criticism. Gt 2 words 4 u, u suck
Its a pity seeing how you choose to bask in your ignorance. you are just making a shameful display of your stupidity. i'm not going to define the word critic or criticism since i never used them in the first place.the word i used is Critique and judging by most of the ignorant posts i've seen, it seems few of you know the meaning. the word critique means: review of somebody's work: a written or broadcast assessment of something, usually a creative work, with comments on its good and bad qualities. that's from encarta. so please think before u make silly comments. numbskull!

and for the mumu that says critical analysis, you are probably dumber than you think. must the analysis be negative? like i said, this is just my own analysis, my personal opinion of the album. you are free to put down yours.

pls do tell, what is the meaning of critique. go check ur dictionary. seems you are mixing it up with the word critic. and for the fella that said bad topic, what do you suggest?
Music/RadioJagz Of All Tradez: My Critique: by Chuks84(op): 10:49am On May 16, 2010
So Jesse's album's finally out. I've listened to all the tracks, here are my thoughts,

Track 1: Take over ft Prince
Nice track, good intro, Ice prince's verse was good,
My favorite line: M.I was the lightning, I am the thunder and Ice prince is the rain

Track 2: Pump it up
was his first single, good production,

Track 3: Intoxicated ft. whizkid and soul E
One of my favorite tracks, soul E and whizkid gave life to it, tight beat as usual and i really loved whizkid's part : baby na non stop, the love wey i get for you non- stop, i go carry you go see my mama mama, not convinced wit jesse as a singer, but he really did good with this joint.

Track 4: Jargo ft. Jago
Another fave of mine, didn't understand the language he used for the chorus but loved it, his rap was off the hook.
my fve line: his highness flyness is evident, my flow's sicker than my president, i insist m d one needin that dialysis, lol

Track 5: Number 1
skipped it once i heard the reggae tune,

Track 6: Greatest
A track i loved even before the album came out,  the production was very good, the way he blended the lady's voice, his flow was tight too

Track 7: Jesse Swag
just there sha, honestly i have a serious aversion to the word swagga. and he takes the self adulation too far sometimes.

Track 8: Sugarcane Baby
dem yoruba guys go love dis one; smooth fuji tune, a perfect example of jesse's diversity. Good one

Track 9: Dis Jagged life
mmm, didn't feel his flows on this one, he's a good rapper, but it think he gets ahead of himself sometimes.

Track 10: Chocolate
Do you want the chocolate?
Nice one, loved the beat, his flows, the guy try sha,

Track 11:My Brother ft. Ene
I dont know o, always skippin it, i no just like am.

Track 12: L-O-V-E U ft. Brym O
L-O-V-E IT! felt brym o wella, he's one to look out for, nice love song. I've always said jesse does not impress as a singer, but with Brym o on this one, he did right.

Track 13: Wetin dey
we all know this one, I've always felt jesse could have done more with this track, love the second verse though.

Track 14: Inhale out ft Skales
liked his flow, skales try small, just average sha.

Track 15: Average, same hook we've been hearing from our 9ja artistes, wine for me, shake that behind for me. that being said, jesse didn't disappoint with the beat.

Track 16: kitty Cat
emmmmmmmm, kitty cat kitty cat, where are you going to? WTFhuh? e be like say d guy smoke weed before im enter studio. He crafted a nice beat then went on to destroy it with those lyrics. Jesse stop SINGING!!!!

Track 17: Bend down low
Liked it. but i don't understand what he thought he was doing in the second verse, was probably feeling like twista, he was rapping rubbish, was really disappointed.

Track 18: Nobody Test Me (choc boi anthem) ft. M.I & Ice Prince
Couldn't have asked for a better ending!!!! they all brought it, the beat was off the hook, M.I and Ice did what they do best, the only kelly i know is kelly rowland lol.

This is Just my opinion, feel free to drop yours! all in all, Jesse Jagz did good with this one, He can only get better. I'll give 3 stars out of 5.
PoliticsRe: Kaduna On Red Alert As Christian Prepares To Take Over by Chuks84(m): 10:40am On May 15, 2010
I think Gov Jang of Plateau State is a bad example of a Christain northern Governor, Kaduna State are afraid that this Christain Deputy Governor might become another Jang, using Police Men attached to him as a Murder squad in a  ethnic cleasing operation of getting rid of the Hausa / Fulani from Plateau State. We all know power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Undecided
This comment only shows the level of your ignorance and illiteracy. what kind of logic are you using? so because gov. Jang is not performing that means all christians are not fit to govern in the nothern region. Using your logic, then i i will say all muslims are not even fit to govern their states cause i don't see any nothern governor making discernable progress in their states. You are letting your dislike of one man get in the way of your judgement, its obvious you are a bloody tribalist for you to be making wild claims like the one you just made.

PoliticsGovernor Namadi Sambo Is New Vice President by Chuks84(op): 9:09am On May 13, 2010
Governor Namadi Sambo of kaduna is now  Vice President. Honestly i'm shocked, why pick a serving governor? I'd like to hear your thoughts. Below is the extract from Thisday.

After much horse-trading, President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday yielded to the wish of governors and picked one of them, Governor Namadi Sambo of Kaduna State as Vice-President-designate.
His decision followed a meeting with the governors last night where they also agreed to withdraw their support for the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Vincent Ogbulafor who is undergoing trial for corruption.
THISDAY learnt that the party chairman may resign today.

The governors held a crucial meeting after which they visited Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to present a candidate.
It was during the meeting that the President informed them that he was picking one of them for nomination to the National Assembly as Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
They went into another meeting when they left the Villa. The details of that gathering was not clear. However, some of them went back to thank Jonathan for picking Sambo.

Music/RadioRe: (death)would Any Nigerian Rapper Be Felt Like Dat Of Da Grin. by Chuks84(m): 8:22pm On May 08, 2010
This may surprise you, but the fact is that dagrin was still an upcoming artiste before he died, he was known but he wasn't well known, most people never knew him until he died, i never listened any of his tracks until i heard he was dead. I think what shocked most people is the fact that he was still young (he claimed to be 23). and like someone once said, death elevates, death immortalizes, that's what is happening, Dagrin has been elevated by his death.
Music/RadioRe: Jessy Jagz-worth The Wait? by Chuks84(m): 7:57pm On May 08, 2010
I have just listened to the album, and I've gotta say, the guy try. I wont say the album is great, but its really good, his only offense is that he tried to do too many things at once. He is a good rapper but a mediocre singer, I think he needs to stick to rapping and he should avoid "over rhyming". I really like greatest, l-o-v-e u (i'm a fan of brym o), intoxicated, Jargo was da bomb too. as for tracks like pussy cat, well, i guess every genius can be excused a moment of madness. that being said, all the beats were tight. thumbs of to jagz, he can only get better, I have a feeling he'll eventually outshine M.I. and yes, "nobody test me" was da bomb,
PoliticsWho Carries The Blame For Yaradua's Death? by Chuks84(op): 2:22pm On May 06, 2010
We have lost our President, and while most people are busy proclaiming false sorrow for this "great" man, I would like to be honest and say I am relieved. Our president is finally free, free from the clutches of the wicked souls who brought him to power, free from the heartless shrew he chose for a wife. A lot of people could be blamed for his death, our former President, the infamous cabal, but i would put the blame solely on the foot of his callous wife, Turai. They say behind every great man, there is a great woman. I wish the same could have seen said about Yaradua. Unfortunately, the opposite is the case. this witch encouraged her husband to run for the office of the president despite the fact that she was aware of His illness, any good wife would have encouraged her husband to take a rest from politics. If our president had done this, I assure you he would still be alive today. When our president was lying critically ill (or probably brain dead) in saudi, she allowed herself to become a tool of the cabal, she quietly watched or even participated as her husband was heartlessy used as a political pawn, she allowed him to be brought back to the country when it was best for him to continue receiving medical treatment abroad. You might say i'm being unfair, that she was only a tool, but she allowed herself to be used. And that, in my book is the worst crime. Turai killed our president. I pray our wives will never be like the Turai Yaradua's of this world. Amen!
Music/RadioRe: D'banj - Fall In Love Ft. Genevieve | Official Video by Chuks84(m): 4:59pm On May 05, 2010
tanks eldee

tell him.

dbanj produces party songs and thats what sells. he is making a future for his kids by cashing on  whats in vogue

@chuks, next time u wanna partty, play modenine, dr sid and dance to the beats with those chicks

****hiss****
I'm not disputing the fact that his songs sell, or they are not pleasing to the ear, infact i'm a big fan of fall in love, but like u said his songs are suited for mostly parties, when i'm in the mood to listen to good music (and by that, i mean songs that speak to the soul), D'banj doesn't come anywhere near.
Music/RadioRe: D'banj - Fall In Love Ft. Genevieve | Official Video by Chuks84(m): 4:48pm On May 05, 2010
He doesn't make good music right?? It's all Don Jazzy's beats. . . cool.
How come Dr Sid is not the one carting away the MOBOs and MTV Awards??
Afterall you don't need to be good as long as you've got a good beat??
I couldn't have said it better.
Music/RadioRe: D'banj - Fall In Love Ft. Genevieve | Official Video by Chuks84(m): 4:36pm On May 05, 2010
go and tell that to his overstuffed award cabinets and bank account!!!!
no on rewards good music nowadays, unfortunately everybody yearns for crap.
Music/RadioRe: D'banj - Fall In Love Ft. Genevieve | Official Video by Chuks84(m): 4:18pm On May 05, 2010
How can you say D'banj doesn't make good music??
Have you ever tried listening to his beats??

Abeg, dem dey find you for Romance Section. Grin Grin
you must be a shallow fellow to think D'banj makes good music, his songs lack lyrical meaning, his voice is at best mediocre, the only thing he has going for him is the beats crafted by don jazzy and the hooks he uses.
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu Backs Babangida For 2011 Polls by Chuks84(m): 10:08am On May 03, 2010
Ezeuche and metal gong are big fools trying to defend Ojukwu, as far as i am concerned he is a traitor to his people. it doesn't matter whether he said "if the people support", for the mere fact that he is even considering supporting IBB's presidential ambitions shows that he has obviously gone senile. the thought of IBB running for president shouldn't even be entertained, this is a man who single-handedly brought this country to its knees, his ambition has already been condemned from all quarters. Imagine my joy when he was disgraced at the oshiomole rally. that is what IBB needs, continuous disgrace, not senile octogenarians endorsing his impossible ambition. I am a proud Igbo boy, and i am appealing to all igbos to call a spade, a spade, we shouldn't support or defend people just because of what we percieve to be their standing in the society. We should stand for truth and justice.
