TV/MoviesRe: Green Family Wins Maltina Dancehall Season 6 by Chuks84(m): 9:56am On Sep 23, 2012
Sam Milla: That is what we know how to do here in Nigeria. While the Indians and Chinese are organising Science and Tech contests,
We are busy organising Big Brothers, Maltina dancehall, Gulder ultimate search, Nokia project fame, MTN this and that.
Are these things what we now learn in our Universities?
#bigShame
Like someone rightly said, why don't you organize your own science and tech contest, instead of coming here to whine like a baby. I'm sick of people coming here to complain about how things should be done all the time without ever lifting a hand to help. The reality is that educational contests are being organized all the time, the fact that you don't see them on national TV doesn't mean they don't exist. You forget that these TV stations have bills to pay, it's all about the ratings, after a hard day at work or school, most people will rather watch Gulder Ultimate Search and Maltina Dance hall instead of some educational quiz.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Chuks84(m): 7:20am On Aug 23, 2012
Hello, I was denied a student visa. I have myself to blame though, I asked questions on this forum and I was discouraged but I went ahead and submitted my application. The problem is that I used a company acct and a letter of financial sponsorship as my evidence of funds. I was denied on the grounds that I did not hold the required funds in my account and I was unable to prove that the 'international company' operated in more than one country. However, I have been given a right to an administrative review. I am determined to go for my masters, is it still possible to make it? Please advise.

Hello, please if your visa application is going to be rejected, will it take the same 15 working days or earlier?

Please who do I address a letter to the uk embassy to and which address to I put? For example if my father is writing a cover letter showing that he is sponsoring me to the uk, who should he address it to?

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Chuks84(m): 5:07pm On Jul 21, 2012
Justwise how are you doing? Please I want to confirm if it's necessary for me to book an appointment online with the visa centre. Or i can just go there and submit my application straight up.
TravelRe: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by Chuks84(m): 3:04pm On Jul 19, 2012
Hello vicjustice, I intend to go to the uk for my masters. I have paid the required deposit of 3000 pounds. I intend to use a letter from a company stating that it will take care of my fees and living costs for my visa application. I will also produce a bank statement showing that the firm has enough funds to sponsor my Msc programme. Will this be acceptable?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Chuks84(m): 11:29pm On Jul 14, 2012
Thanks. My uncle's company is actaully based in brazil and has a branch in Nigeria here. He says he has provided cover letters for 3 people for their masters. I only hope it will suffice. Its too late for me to start transferring money to my acct. It will mean me applying by the 20th of august. I only hope the cover letter will suffice. Thanks again Just wise.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Chuks84(m): 9:44pm On Jul 14, 2012
justwise: I don't know how your uncle will serve as your legal guardian as an adult, if you are under 16yrs of age then that i will make sense.

If your uncle is willing to sponsor you then let him transfer the money into your account, that is the only way you can go around it.
justwise sorry to trouble you, but what exactly constitutes an 'international organisation'?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Chuks84(m): 7:49pm On Jul 14, 2012
justwise: You can't use your uncle's company as an official sponsor neither can you use his company's bank account for anything related to student visa application.

If your uncles' company is a multinational one then you may stand a chance.
Thanks for your response. My heart is beating erratically now. I misinterpreted the part about official financial sponsor. Is it possible for this same uncle to serve as a guardian. If so, what other documents do I need to provide? I have already paid my advance instalment fees. Please advice.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Chuks84(m): 1:23pm On Jul 14, 2012
Just wise, thanks for all the work you are doing on this forum. I intend to use an uncle's company as my official financial sponsor. However, during my application to the school I stated that I would be paying for the fees my self, this might be reflected in the CAS letter. Hope this won't cause any problems for me. Do I also need to present a bank statement showing the amount in my uncles company account? Also, does my uncle's company fit into the criteria of official financial sponsors. Thanks.

PoliticsRe: Are We Any Better Than The Leaders We Condemn ? by Chuks84(m): 6:15am On Jun 04, 2012
Frosbel, like someone rightly said, your thread lacks common sense. You have effectively taken the blame from the leaders and placed it on the shoulders of the people. This is not so; a leader is elected because he is believed to be the best among the lot, if he is not capable of shouldering the burden laid upon him, then he is not fit to be a leader. Always remember, if the head is corrupt, then so is the whole body. Nigeria has the capacity for change but it has to start from the leadership not from the people as you have erroneously suggested.

jennykadry: Wow, is this coming from a man who said he will never abuse a woman? unbelievable
You misquote me. I should have written I will never abuse a woman physically. Besides, how did I abuse her now? I just stated a fact. Thirdly, look at her previous posts and read all the insults she has thrown at me before you start pointing fingers.

queensmith: Protect me and my child from what?? Dinosaurs? Please let us not continue to use this argument. Only a paranoid woman will sincerely believe a man can protect her from anything. Women without partners raise children do they not? LEts not pretend this is important in a family.
I do not expect my boyfriend to drive from his house down to mine because i heard bump in the middle of the night.

People only form relationships because they want companions! Nobody is thinking ' i need a man to protect me from crimnals' when they get into one! they certainly do not use this as an excuse to get married! And it absolutely doesn not now make men superior! Msher
I rest my case. I thought I was having an intellectual argument with a sane female. Forgive me, I didn't know you were deranged. Its obvious that you had a terrible experience with a man that has colored your perception of the general male population and probably shuffled your mental facaulties. I sympathize with you.
FamilyRe: Seriously Contemplating A Divorce by Chuks84(m): 8:29am On Apr 14, 2012
queensmith: Please understand this, you are an animal and need to get in tune with human civilisation. Do not attempt to use futile arguments to back up your nonsense. Are you now trying to say you open doors? Which door do you open? What have you done recently that no woman can do? What have you done that allows you to abuse your wife? Abeg!
I have never abused any woman, will never abuse any woman. I am just telling you the reality on ground, yes, women have become more active and independent in our world of today but it doesn't change the fact that the world is still being run by men. Abuse in a marriage is not right, but we have to live with it, it has always existed, nothing is going to change it. If every woman ran to her divorce lawyer because of abuse, a greater percentage of homes round the world will be broken. So save your silly sermon.
P.S we are all animals.

dayokanu: The society as Well as women allude to the fact that they are the inferior sex either overtly or covertly.

Women want some concession based on their sex, they expect a man to open door, allow them sit first, not engage in any struggle with them, attack the man and not expect him to retaliate etc

These are traits shown by inferior classes.

You cant ask me to give you concessions and at the same time claim we are equals.

Its like in a 100m race, you ask me to give you a 40m gap/head start, yet claim we are equal.
Thanks a lot! You couldn't have said it better. They shout continuously about equality but expect to be treated differently because of their sex.
FamilyRe: Seriously Contemplating A Divorce by Chuks84(m): 10:50pm On Apr 13, 2012
queensmith: Abuse is acceptable? I'm sure thats what most men here think, anyways that is why i'm here. To try and teach civilisation to you monkeys.
I will try my best but i make no promises, soo long as women realise this before they marry the likes of you!
You keep on harping on the issue of abuse, its seems you ex hubby or boyfriend beat you silly. I don't blame him, he probably couldn't stand your sharp tongue. You talk as if Human beings are perfect, both men and woman suffer varying degrees of abuse in a relationship, the woman attacks the only way she knows how; with her tongue, and the sometimes the man is forced to respond physically. Personally I can't lay my hand on a woman but I understand the rage that might drive a man to resort to physical violence.
FamilyRe: Seriously Contemplating A Divorce by Chuks84(m): 6:57pm On Apr 13, 2012
queensmith: @Chucks Feel pity for yourself. The problem is most men here believe they speak for men around the world. Actually they don't. Like i keep repeating, many men care love unconditionally and fully respect their wives. Save the pity for the women breaking their arms and legs for the abusive husband.

Only foolish men hate the idea of feminism. Its about time you all realise we are equal and were not placed on earth to take bull crap from men! There is no reason a woman needs to take abuse from her husband, absolutely none! And men like you try to keep women in bondage by making them think they need to serve a man with all the energy they have, for what exactly? Trade in your sanity, dignity esteem and pride for an illusion? That does nobody any good.

Maybe the women here are all in hopeless marriages but times have changed, they don't need to put up with it. If no one will say it i will. It's a shame people reason in this way, at the same time it's fantastic some of us realise how things should be!
Like I said, you are just a selfish person. Did the poster say her husband was physically abusive? From the tone of your posts it seems you are a victim of an abusive relationship but that doesn't mean you should go advising ladies to run for the hills when they encounter difficulties. You talk as if men are always at fault while the women are faultless when in truth most men are in emotionally abusive relationships.
FamilyRe: Seriously Contemplating A Divorce by Chuks84(m): 6:26pm On Apr 13, 2012
@queensmith, I read your responses and I feel pity for you. You are one of those ladies that will eventually end up alone and bitter in their old age with no one for companionship but a cat. Your advice reeks of western feminism. You can't bend over to please a man, but you will expect him to bend over to please you. You advised the lady to have pre divorce talks with her husband? You feministic nuts are just plain selfish. Reading your posts, I could see it was all about her, her, her. You didn't even give a thought to the kids. Do you think its easy to be a kid in a broken home? Its this kind of thinking that has led to the decay of family values in the western world where the divorce rate is astronomical.

@Poster did you read through your marriage vows at all? Did you think that it will just be happily ever after? Didn't you read the part of for better for worse? Does your husband beat you? Does he cheat on you? You have three kids! Not one, not two but three! You want to subject the children to the hardships and stigma of a divorce because of the reasons you gave. Its not just the two of you, there are five people involved. It will be exceedingly selfish of you to contemplate divorce because you are not happy. Fight for your marriage! I am sorry if I sound harsh, but I think you need to face the hard truth.

Seun well done! I'm disappointed, so you've taken to hiding posts that you dislike, meanwhile its ok when people start tribal bashing. You are becoming autocratic. The funny thing is that I didn't even mean any of those things I said in my previous posts, I was just trying to gauge your reaction. You failed. You know the saying about absolute power? This site became popular because people could come here and freely express their views, no matter how silly. Once you take that away, it will mark the beginning of your downfall.
