Hello everyone, Good evening from Milton, Ontario, Canada.
Today marks my one year anniversary in Canada, and in my "Canniversary" as we use to call it, I'm ruminating on the idea of doing a Webinar, through Zoom, for a question and answer sessions for any interested member of this forum.
Interested, do let us know |

Berle: Hello, please I have a question on the bolded because I saw your recent posts about it and had to dig further. I'm post AOR and I selected 'all provinces' as where I would like to live in when filling out my EE profile. However Quebec wasn't on that list. Hope I wouldn't have any issues? Was it the same section where you selected Quebec or I'm missing something. It's okay. Quebéc is not in that list. But at a later stage in your application, you will be asked about location where you hope to reside. At that point kindly avoid Quebéc |

Otoge: Hmm. You people need to be telling these rejection stories so people can learn from it. I know it's painful but it could save others. Apologies if you have told it before and I missed it. Perhaps you missed it. I advice people to stay clear of Quebéc during this journey unless you did TEF. The rejection message I got said 'I did not have the necessary requirements to reside there'. Obviously French speaking ability! |

chuksey1 : Hello guys in filling your EOI, the part that ask you to select the list of provinces you would like to live, is it possible to select all the provinces? In other to increase you chances in EE and PNP. . Also of a preson initially applies for EE and luckly gets nominated for PNP by a province. Is he gonna pay the PNP fee along with the EE fee or just the the PNP fee@ bold As long as you don't select Quebéc. I took that bitter pill and my application got rejected Both fees |

Good day everyone, I got a mail from CIC after my webform stating my inability to travel to Canada. Part of the response was that on entering Canada I need to have a plan to self quaranti e for 14 days. This plan must include being able to get medical care, groceries etc.
My issue is that for me I don't know how airbnb work as it concerns getting medical care, groceries. Are hosts obliged to offer that?
I have a family where I can self quarantine for the 14 days where getting medical care, groceries and so on perhaps won't be a problem. However they stay in quebéc. I'm thinking this should not be an issue given it's an emergency situation.
Seniors in the house, kindly help with the dilemma |

I just need a clarification....as we all know wes tweeted they are back in business and we can now submit via electronic means including mails although it has to be initiated by the school..i just want to confirm does this affect Nigerian schools or only international students? Ideally WES does evaluation of credentials of both Nigerian and Foreign institutions. So that twit by WES refers to all institutions unless it expressly excluded some. |

Is it possible the 450 goes up automatically at some point while in the pool without, adding another certificate to augment it ?
Thanks

Nope you just keep losing points as you age.
However your score can be adequate if the draw scores miraculously drop.
Your score will automatically go up if you : add another certificate consider the French option (TEF) ace IELTS get PNP have a sibling in Canada.
I believe miracles happen, but there's need to put in the work. |

phabulous88: 1) IELTS - register for the IELTS with the British Council and write the exam. Exams are suspended now though because of COVID 19
ECA - register with WES (Canada) and when you pay, you get a reference number.
You can send your transcript using the following:
Option 1 - https://wes.etx.ng. This is sent electronically but can take a longer time. Option 2 - ask Exams and records to send directly to WES Canada. Transcript must be in a sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate official at the institution. Option 3 - if Exams and record gives you the document to send to WES, it MUST be in a sealed envelope.
Always quote your reference number
3) Reference letter - what’s your job description? Check the National Occupational Classification and see where you fall in. Check page 1 for reference letter format (not recommendation letter).
4) Funds - when you receive your ITA, funds should have been in your accounts for 6 months. A gift of cash for the POF can be in the account for less than 6 months. The 6 months thing relates more to bank statement to be printed for the application |

I've been made to understand that I can find a job there, but perhaps not as an accountant. Any landed senior(s) with knowledge of Quebec, kindly offer info.... Thanks
I just want to be sure of what to expect after the pandemic. |
