Chinese e-commerce platforms like Shein and Temu and others have become wealthy by exploiting this loophole. Meanwhile every package sent by post from the US to China is taxed irrespective of its cost. So, it was right that DT ended it. From the get-go, DT wanted to recalibrate the US - China trade relationship something I think he's partly succeeded in doing by getting China to lower tariffs across board on America products while the US reciprocates. I'm sure this 90-day reprieve will be welcomed by businesses on both sides that have bled because of the trade war.

Speaking of Tesla, In 2024, the Tesla Model Y and BYD Song consistently held the top positions in global EV sales, with the Tesla Model Y leading the way, followed by the BYD Song and the Tesla Model 3 in third. However, currently, BYD is doing more volumes than Tesla not because it makes better and more durable cars than Tesla, but because of its cheap prices. I personally appreciate BYD's price strategy because it has caused other EV manufacturers in China and beyond to lower their prices. One more thing,if you knew anything about the Chinese EV space, you'd know ALL first generation of Chinese EVs were built from the blueprints of Tesla. So, give Tesla its flowers 💐. Peace out!

Just imagine that they have launched their homemade aircraft since 2019 Comac C919 which is even rumored to be better, cheaper than Boeing that's crashes almost every year(all parts were built from scratch which is not obtainable anywhere), China has also taken over the EV industry with the arrival of BYD ( a cheaper and more durable alternatives to Tesla). All it takes China is to instruct FoxCon (major chip and manufacturer for iPhone and Boeing) and other IC companies to stop every business dealing with the US companies then the US will be done for in a few months

Even though Tesla was only recently granted FSD in China (a feature other Chinese EVs like Huawei, Nio, Xiaomi, Avatr...have had for a longer period) Tesla, albeit the drop in sales, still is the second selling EV in China after BYD.
