Have you ever left Guangzhou?.... Guangdong? Is there like a Nigerian/African "community " in Guangzhou?

Sure! I've been to Xiamen, Shenzhen, Changsha, Wuhan,Chengdu, Sanya, Qingdao, Jinan, Jilin, Harbin, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Xinjiang,Qinghai, Shanghai, Beijing, Yunnan, Guangxi ( Guilin), Hong Kong, Macau...There used to be a thriving African community at XiaoBei Lu in Guangzhou but Convid-19 and stringent visa policies have adversely affected the community.

Not flying yet....
Just want to know how beautiful your place is...

COVID-19 has clipped everyone's wings from taking to the skies! I miss international travelling. China is a beautiful and functional country - everyone, agencies,departments...all seem to know what their responsibilities, and when to carry them out. I wish Nigeria were like that, too.

Culture / Re: Onyeka Nwelue: Anyone Who Eats Or Drinks At A Funeral Lacks Conscience by chukxie(m): 4:40am On Nov 27, 2021
In America, food and drinks are served at funerals. The same goes for Mexicans. The Koreans do it, too. In some communities in China, when an elderly person dies, food and drinks are served for 2 days to sympathizers who in turn give the bereaved money in red envelopes. The problem with burial ceremonies in some parts of Nigeria is the unnecessary demands for goats, cows, fish, drinks and money by some stupid family heads, village heads and community youths who are often tasked with digging graves.

Nice. Does the bridge cross over a river?..canyon?... and does it connect two towns/villages? Besides the bridge... how is there another way to get from one side to the other? .. do locals use the bridge or is it mainly for sightseeing/tourism?... what else is of interest in the area? ... what is the community like?.... farmers?... traders? ... is it like really chilly at that height?.... just curious!

You could make a good journalist by the way you framed your questions in multiple layers. Good one! The glass bridge is a tourist attraction that straddles across a valley. It is anchored between two mountains to allow tourists to literally walk from one mountain top to the other. For hikers, there are paved winding paths for them to walk on. From up there on a balmy weather, one can see different shades, patterns of rooftops of traditional Chinese and contemporary buildings of the farmers who live in the valley and nearby. One can also see beautiful green rice terraces on the lower sides of some mountains. When the rice is ready for harvesting, the terraces turn yellowish giving them an even more beautiful ambiance. And yes, it does get cold and misty up there so it is better to put on a light down jacket or a hoodie before going up on the bridge. What else? There are cabin houses for short stay, a hotel ( with golf carts and vans to convey people to/from the glass bridge attraction) restaurants, a barbeque campground, souvenirshops...in the community. It is fair to say the lives of the people in the community have been transformed for the better by the glass bridge.

Racism level?

I don't go out looking for racist experiences. I just stay on my line, and try to take in as much of the country, people, cultures and foods that I can absorb. Are there any racist people here? Of course. But so is it with every other country especially the ones that are highly homogeneous. It is what it is!

Beautiful! God was too benevolent to Nigeria in that He gave her everything- I mean EVERYTHING to make her the cynosure of all eyes but her leaders bleeped it all up! If Nigeria weren't such a rudderless, clueless country, tourism would have been one of her top earners of foreign cash inflows. China's Guilin, Guizhou, Yunnan... are visited by millions of both local and international tourists who flock there to see natural rice terraces; hills, mountains and streams/ waterfalls, and man-made attractions built by the municipal authorities there. In Nigeria, all eyes are on oil money! Our leaders lack the abilities to reason innovatively. It's a shame!

Let's us continue to lament instead of hitting the streets to protest. Pray to God? God has already given us brains to decide who will rule us but we don't use it.

You're thoughtful! May your thoughtfulness never be compromised! Nigerians complain about their difficulties, hardships and injustices only on social media. They've become analogous to toothless rottweilers! Some countries have witnessed massive protests because of rising costs of food commodities such as bread! The rising cost of bread was one of the reasons that led to the ousting of the then Sudanese dictator,Omar al-Bashir. Nigeria is embroiled in insecurity, Kidnappings, ritual killings, inflation, corruption... yet Nigerians are doing literally nothing about it! Who do una? When will Nigerians wake up from their perpetual comatose?

Not trying to criticise you o. But your writing could take you very far if you do some proof reading. Or have a proof reader double check your writing. It should be corporate not cooperate. I also noticed in your original post that you said the investment would seat in 120 hectares and then you went in to say that it will cover 1.2million m². Hectares is a unit of measure of area just like m². It would have been best to stick with one, hectares or m². Hectares would have been preferable as you had included it in the subject of your post.

Overall it was a mostly excellent write up if one was[s][/s] ignores some of the superfluous parts. Keep it up bro

I can tell the little error wasn't intentional.

Not true... just an easy way to pass blame. Leaders emerge from the stock of Nigerians

Aren't leaders supposed to set the cause for their citizens to follow? When a leader is 'fantastically' corrupt, inept, it would most likely reflect on the citizens he/she leads.

the nigerians are just as bad as their leaders bro/sis.

Leaders set standards for their citizens to emulate. Therefore, a dysfunctional country is a reflection of its leaders. The problem begins from the very top.

I agree then disagree what pains me is nigeria had the potential to be a big giant and they blew it ...resorting to beg for everything can you imagine what all that stolen loot our leaders took could have done

Not "had" but has. Nigeria still has all the potentials to be the biggest and greatest thing out of Africa and the entire black race. The vital components it lacks are visionary and selfless leaders! I currently live in China, and I witness daily how the third-tier city that I live in is run. From waste disposal to roads maintenance, housing management, urban and suburban developments, security, to the very last detail that makes life worth living, everything is done with the citizens in mind. Is there corruption in China? Yes! But things get done. The reverse is the case in Nigeria. Our leaders make leading appear as though it were rocket science. Nigerians should stop chasing shadows. China isn't your problem. Your leaders and politicians are. Did you read about the billions to be allocated for the upgrade of the presidential clinic? Or the billions to be allocated to FIRS? Hmm! The man always blames others for his self-destructive behaviours! The Chinese are looking for expansion and dominance similar to what the West did; and Africa is there for the taking because cows as leaders! Abegi!

Nuffing go happen because Nigerians are inherently docile! How much was allocated for education, healthcare, infrastructural upgrades, housing..? The mumu in Nigeria never do. Una eyes go see una ears soon! Let the looting continue until Nigerians irrespective of their party affiliations wake up to demand for accountability from their leaders.
