Honestly speaking, some Nigerians are horribly stupid! Calling a President Zelensky "a coward","a fool" for standing up to Putin, and defending his country in the face of Russia's invasion is ludicrous. It is akin to saying the Nigerian government is a coward for standing up to Boko Haram terrorists who are trying to dominate and control Nigeria.

What did you guys expect? I'm sure Nigerians in the diaspora aren't surprised one bit by our nation's abysmal passport ranking. When some 9jas carry Yahoo-Yahoo, azza, drugs, cultism, human trafficking and every form of negative behaviors go abroad! Although the average Nigerian is resilient and can survive in some of the harshest conditions, a few of our brothers and sisters don cast our image. Before COVID-19, obtaining a Chinese visa na war,but across the border for Niger, the same visa na akara..Sharply you don get visa..

It is a dog-eat-dog world! In international political, everyone lies. The Americans,Germans, Russians, French, Indians, Chinese...You name it, they all lie in order to obtain whatever they want; change narratives; sway opinions or simply to obtain public sympathy. Opinions are changed, influenced, obliterated through information, and that's why there's something called Information Warfare. The countries mentioned above all have propaganda information tools which billions of people consume daily. CNN, BBC, CGTN, Fox, RT, Aljazeera... all serve as propaganda tools. The often 'innocuous' FB, IG, Wechat, Weibo... can also serve as propaganda tools. The only people inept at information warfare are black Africans, and that's why we are always at the lowest step of the ladder of international politics. We are good at consuming whatever garbage the West, the Chinese,the Russians, the Indians and even the Arabs feed us. We munch on them hungrily then off we go to beer parlours, FB, Twitter, Wechat, WhatsApp...to discuss the latest gist in town. We pick sides, form teams and argue amongst ourselves endlessly. Ever wonder if the West, Russians,Chinese...argue amongst themselves about us as we do them? They don't give a rat arse about us. Frankly, why should they? If black Africans must survive this century, we need to build our own global news networks where our stories will be told the way we want them told.

I'd be nice if some people took time out to read the history of Ukraine, its independence, its eastern Russian majority regions, its nuclear weapons and their denuclearization before commenting here. Putin is seeking Russian expansion by declaring the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk independent states. Putin can be said to be taking back territories Russia 'gifted' Ukraine, just as it did when Crimea was annexed. If I were the Ukrainian president, I'd let Russia have those two territories without any hassles since majority of the populace there are ethnic Russians and pro- Russian as expected. After that I'd move to join Nato because evidently Putin cannot be trusted. Ukraine was guaranteed a peaceful co-existence with Russia before and after the denuclearization of the stockpile of Russian nukes in her possession. Thousands of nuclear arms were left on Ukrainian soil by Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. But in the years that followed, Ukraine made the decision to completely denuclearize. In exchange, the U.S., the U.K. and Russia would guarantee Ukraine’s security in a 1994 agreement known as the Budapest Memorandum. If Ukraine had those nukes, Putin would not have dared to invade a sovereign state. What is happening in Ukraine will have ripple effects around the world by emboldening leaders hung on territorial expansion to vigorously pursue their agendas. The craziest thing is that there's nothing in terms of war that the US., nor Nato can do about this situation because nobody wants a war with Russia - something that will lead to the inevitable death of millions of innocent people on all sides involved. May peace reign!

India and China are rivals with an ongoing border dispute therefore both countries are hardly on the same page. Another thing to consider is this: China WILL not go to war with America and NATO simply because she's friends with Putin because the stakes are too high because doing so would jeopardize her economy, and also damage her chances of becoming the largest economy in the world something President Xi wants to accomplish in his lifetime. China will defend her rights to unify Taiwan with the Motherland but they will not fight Putin's war. The most China will do is to buy Russia's gas, and probably provide some financial aids to Russia in the face of tough economic sanctions. The Chinese are not Putin's puppets!

What is playing out is not entirely about NATO. Rather it is about Putin's desire to see the Soviet Union back because he's seen the political and ideological divisiveness in America with the Republicans and Democrats hardly agreeing on anything, and also the cracks in EU - the British backstabbing the French in weapons sales; the differences in ideologies, human rights, trade and even LGBTQ rights...And as it stands, the US. and NATO are not eager for a war with Russia because of the obvious catastrophe it would cause - nukes WILL be used and millions WILL die! And let's not forget that China is keenly watching the drama being played because if Putin succeeds in destabilizing Ukraine and causes it to implode on itself by arming the breakaway regions of Ukraine, China would take it as a precursor to attack Taiwan. I'm certain the Indians are equally watching the events in Ukraine, too, considering her borders disputes with China. And let's not forget Japan and other countries along the the disputed China sea region. The ramifications of the Ukraine crisis will be felt around the world. May diplomacy win. May we not see war!

When you visit China, do visit the Special Administrative Region of Macau (the Las Vegas of the East) which is sandwiched between Mainland China and the S.A.R of Hong Kong. Stay awesome!
