Politics / Re: Chinese Investors Acquire 120 Hectares Of Land In Akwa Ibom For Hendai City by chukxie(m): 12:51am On Nov 15, 2021 |
Too many paranoid people on this thread spewing western rhetoric heard on western news stations! The housing deficit in Nigeria is one of the largest in the world so any initiatives to reduce the deficit is welcomed provided the properties are affordable for everyday people; and there are mortgage facilities to enable people to purchase homes. The Chinese are like the typical business savvy Igbo man who sets up a kiosk at a street corner, and over time builds that little business into several shops with several apprentices serving him. They (the Chinese) have mastered the act of sniffing for, and locating business opportunities because of the hardships they faced when the world considered their country a backwater lined with rice paddies and rickshaws. You may be right not to trust them. You may also be right to want to abhor them. But at the end of the day, you still need them because they're the only ones currently investing heavily in Africa. The West plundered us and left us bare! And they're still plundering and stripping us buttocks bare through agencies such as the World Bank, IMF, and unfavorable trade and monetary agreements as seen between France and Francophone countries in Africa. If our leaders had our interests in their hearts, the money they loot would've been enough to build affordable homes across the entire stretch of Nigeria! Electricity and every basic amenities would have been provided if our leaders weren't as devilishly corrupt as they are. China provides electricity to 1.45+ billion people yet Nigeria can't provide electricity supply to a meager 250 million people! We should bury our heads in shame! Lastly, make I begin save money to purchase one flat for Akwa Ibom! No time! 4 Likes |

Differentiate: Your elder brother was right. Although the Korean language appears hard to learn but in fact it isn't half as hard as it appears once one begins to learn it. I left Korea because I had an ESL offer in China. Aside from that, I also wanted to explore something other than Korea. I hope to visit Seoul when international travel fully resumes. |

MrBrownJay1: I beg to disagree with you. Calling Chinese trains "garbage" is totally low and untrue. Have you ever been on the Fuxing trains? They are the world's fastest conventional high speed train in regular service, with a operating speed of 350 km/h. How can anyone honestly call Chinese trains garbage? Agreed, the Japanese Shinkansen trains are classy, and efficient and punctual but so are their Chinese counterparts. If you don't mind, please, lecture us why you think Chinese trains are "garbage". Thanks. Photo 3: The interior of a Fuxing train. Photo taken by me. 2 Likes

You're not gonna get into the human genome bank. You're obviously sick! You need help. I'm not going to play dirty with you,SLOPE! You say blacks aren't humans yet you live amongst them! Politics / Re: JAMB Stops Varsities, Others From Running Distance Learning by chukxie(m): 10:27am On Oct 26, 2021 |
In my opinion, Jamb is a relic from the past that ought to have been scrapped by now. Jamb is still operational today because it serves as a conduit pipe for some selected individuals to enrich themselves. An institution that has been marred by corruption, 'snake-swallowing- money' and utter inefficiency should not even be heard yapping about. In today's world, Jamb should no longer be relevant, WAEC and tertiary institutions should! Tertiary institutions should be empowered by law to directly admit prospective students who have obtained the required test scores in their Waec or Neco as is the case in China, South Korea...Every year in China, 12th grade students sit for an exam called Gaokao (the equivalent of Waec). The brightest students in the exam are usually admitted into top tier universities like Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University...while those who did well but couldn't get into any of the top universities end up in 2nd tier universities, and those who didn't very well either go to 3rd or 4th tier universities. Bottomline is everybody gets educated, and that's why the literacy threshold in the aforementioned countries keep increasing. In China, students go onto universities at 18 or19. While in Nigeria, Jamb is making the educational sojourn of many bright minds a living hell. It is very common to find many young men and women who have written Jamb countless times, wasting precious time on an examination which ought to been scrapped. |

Chinese folks who use LinkedIn are those who are searching for jobs overseas or in foreign owned companies on the Chinese mainland, in Hongkong or Macau; and for Chinese suppliers with foreigner customer base - something platforms like Taobao, Made-in-China.com, Tmall, JD.com, Pingduoduo, Alibaba...are already doing. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Workch: Do you even know the level of combat preparedness of American bases? Ever been in one before? Judging from your comical assertions up there it is evident you have no clue what American bases are or how they operate either. Each base is a fully functional, and combat-ready ecosystem. I like China because I have family members who are Chinese, I do businesses in China and I have hundreds of Chinese friends. So,naturally I'd support China over the United States. However, it is good we discuss (not argue) objectively. Have a nice day. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Chinese Air Force Sends Another 56 Warplanes Toward Taiwan by chukxie(m): 10:10am On Oct 06, 2021 |
Workch: Do you know how many bases the US has in South Korea alone? From Yongsan Base, to Pyongtaek, Dongducheon, Osan, Gunsan. Ever heard of something called Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system? You think the US mounted them in South Korea for tourism sake? Speaking of China claiming almost all of the South China sea. Since you brought it up,don't you think it constitutes a form of aggression by China claiming the bodies of water right next to other countries backyards? How about Chinese trawler fishing boats ramming into small fishing boats from the Philippines on disputed waters nearer to the Philippines than to China which China claims as an inalienable part of its territory? I wish I could write more here but I can't for certain reasons. Remember, the US, China, Russia, the UK, France... all crave two crucial things - expansion and domination. Have a nice one. |
