ephi123:Different strokes for different folks, when my DAD died, we benefited from his Life Insurance. The same AIICO Insurance that you castigate was very professional although slow coz it took over 7months to receive the cash but with my experience with them. If I would suggest, I would suggest AIICO Life Insurance any day anytime!!! |
True, I'm a resident of FESTAC town and we'v been enjoying quite ssteady light for few days now. But I can tell you that @ some part in Awka, anambra. Light there has averaged 20hrs daily the whole of this 2015. |
higherhyte:Oops thannks o, I didn't see that I goofed in that sentence. #well noted |
cocoberry:My dear its such a painful loss. To even post a comment shows how strong you are. I hope God grants you the strength to be strong atleast for your mom. Thanks tho, but I pray God make our families wax stronger despite the loss. |
On the 25th of december, 2013.I received the news that my dad died from heart-attack. Every christmas brings such painful memories, RIP to the emefiele family ! |
Sanchase:I beg to disagree with you. In every budget, there is a set amount for "debt-service". 1.36trillion has been earmarked for Debt service this 2016 budget. Why are you faint hearted? Moreover the govt will always seek out means to source for funds . One way is by taxing the populace (Increase electricity tarrif, toll gate implementation, soon implementation of Speed limits in cars etc) . So I don't see the risk you speak about! Coz Govt always have a way to pay back Local debts |
yomi007k:No, biafra acheivement cannot affect ones tbills or bonds but I know for certain, Civil war or any riot in a country will affect it. That's the only risk associated with the Investment but the risk is very negligible. During the upcoming election, stock prices were crashing ,Investors were pulling out their funds from our money markets, simply because there was so much tension that people envisaged the breakup of Nigeria. CIA prediction too that Nigeria will break up in 2015 helped fueled it too. Even Importers refused to do business, so their money wouldnt be tied down all coz of the tension. But like I said, the risk is negligible in Nigeria for one not to participate in. If u r too scared of bond/tbills despite the low risk, U CANNOT invest in anything else! |
According to the 2016budget, thegovernment will need to borrow over 1trillion naira both domestic and internationally to help fund capital expenditure. With this, I expect the rates to shoot up because no Investor will be invessting in a system where the interest rates is a sharp contrast from Inflation rate. So its a matter of time. Meanwhile I don't expect it to happen with January. Business activities are always very slow during january coz of excess spending during the festive season. So we should be looking @ positive change of Interest rate from Febuary when business & contracts will start being awarded! #compliments of the season tho |
How does blood pressure affect good driving? Like WTF! Most aged people suffer high BP and yet still drive (50yrs and above). Test should be for - Vision - Mental state #FRSC sef! |
“ A guy and a girl can be just friends, but at one point or another, they will fall for each other ....Maybe temporarily, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late or maybe forever " - Dave Mathew Bands. |
JeffreyJamez:Your reply shows u have little knowledge about closed and open source. If you knew how developers develop app from source code. U'll know why open source is more vulnerable. Go & update your knowledge, all these tech wannabes! |
JeffreyJamez:No OS is secured but android o.s is more vulnerable. Android is an Open-source, whereas Blackberry & ios is a closed source. If you are a computer novice, you'll understand what I mean! |
Okay 2016 budget about to borrow 800bn naira. Where are my Treasury bills Investors annd Bonds Investor? How feasible Is this plan? Who will want to Invest in bonds when currently interest rate is at 5-7% p.a. Except CBN will increase interest rates to atleast above the Inflation rate of 9%, I don't see how they'll meet up with the Domestic borrowings. Coz That Interest rate is so not Attractive! To Local & foreign Investors of Bond& treasury bills |
YourMain:Hmmm.....I never knew that, thanks tho. Will update my knowledge base on that. Seems you must be a medical student or praticising one or ...? |
omonnakoda:Just look @ u. Improve your arguments and not your voice. |
omonnakoda:You just added more clarity with your last sentence, I guess I put you in check. In your original post. You didn't mention mixing carbs & protein to prolong satiety, its NOT THERE! That was why I challenged you, which you saw reasons with and adjusted your sentence. And please do a research on if protein does boost metabolism or not. Comparing thee speed at which it boost metabolism is sumtin I never made mention of , so comparing it with glucose is just unreasonable. Because certain things even COLD water boosts metabolism. At the end, the size of what you eat matters. A Big eater with BIG appetite will always eat even if you feed him lots of protein. 10handful of cashew a day sounds much to you? Lool, it seems you live amongst small eaters, You never dey with Gluttons! Amount Matters!!! |
YourMain:Lool, although the dude sounds crazy. There is without doubt an iota of truth in his first option, if I'v a open injury on my hand, and I happen to give a handshake to a Hiv patient that also has an injury. U'll agree with me that there would be some sorta transmission, right?. #but its transmission seems negligible tho |
CALORIE DEFICIT is the key to Losing FAT How do people gain weight? Simply, its Calories in vs Calorie out = weight gain/loss If you take in more calories than you take out, YOU will ADD! If you like eat less fat, less yoghurt, less starch, as long as you exceed your daily limit of calories your body needs, you'll add weight. Calories is the unit of energy gotten from food eaten. You may ask how do I know how much calorie my body needs daily?. Now there a thing called "Metabolism". It simply means how much calories you body uses when its resting. Our metabolism is responsible for how much calories we need daily & its dependent on your age, sex, weight and physical activity and also Hormones. To check how much calories your body needs daily, simply visit this website....www.acaloriecounter.com. I guess most of Y'all will be within 2000calories/day So why do people advise on Green tea or less starch or less fat or fruits? Could they have been mis-leading pple? No they are not, its because these foods are LOW in calories! Do you have anyone who feeds on fruits but still hasn't reduced? It could be he/she has been feeding on fruits HIGH in calories. E.g 1 medium Banana has about 100 calories, so if u eat 15 banana in a day , you would have absorbed over 1500 calories! Risk of exceeding your bodys daily limit. Think of your body as a pot, and the water in the pot as the body fat & the fire to boil the water as your metabolism.....If the fire is dim, the water will take time to get boiled. To make the liquid boil QUICKLY, you need to increase the fire(ur metabolism). Its that simple. Green tea/ slimming tea or physical exercise. These things are known to Increase human metabolism, that's why they r adviced....but if you keep adding more liquid(more fat) the fire(metabolism) will do no magic even if its HIGH. You don't need to avoid your favourite food because you are fat, EAT less but in the end make sure you create a Calorie deficit. Because to lose 1kg of FAT = to Burn 7000 calories #cheers |
omonnakoda:I understand you r trying to help people with your suggestion but I"ll like to correct some things; 1) Its advised by medics to start your morning with lots of protein, because it'll boost your metabolism & keep you feeling filledbecause the body breaks down protein slowly, so your suggestion of only carbs in the morning is wrong!!! 2) Suggestion of eating LOTS of NUT DAILY Is bad advice because Nuts are dried, and dried fruit usually contain HIGH CALORIES. 1 HANDFUL(1oz) of cashew nut has about 150 calories. Imagine you eat 10handfuls daily, that's about 1500 calories consumed on eating ONLY CASHEW! Average Daily requirement for most humans says our body needs 2000 calories & eating LOTS of nuts like you suggested has already put the person in risk of exceeding his daily limit of 2000 calories. #like I said earlier, you'v done well in yur comments but some things u suggested isn't right! |
All these OP go just dey copy & paste rubbish. What do you mean you should avoid carbs? Where then will you get energy for the workout? The key is eating moderately while exercising. Carbs or no Carbs. You cannot tell where the body will store fat, EAT MODERATELY & WORK OUT 5TIMES weekly! And lastly avoid EATING LATE before going to bed. Because your METABOLISM is SLOW @ Night, shikena. |
KingMEXX:I agree with you but some of these things are already in place. On the Nigerian customs website, there is a list of prohibited goods to be brought into the country. Its not like people cannot produce them here but the cost of doing business here in very costly! Our Gdp translates to what's on ground. Manufacturers can't keep up with Increasing fuel price & lack of basic amenities like security & traffic issues, hence Importation seems a better option! In reality for example, its cheaper to Import tomatoes from china than produce yours here in Nigeria. Infact you'll agree with me that some materials are cheaper to do overseas than In nigeria. So before diversification is applied, so many things have to improve! You cannot outrightly place a ban on certain products but you can discourage the act by Increasing Import levies and favouring local producers......Unfortunately the opposite is the case, as our govt lifted the ban on rice importation few months ago. |
Don't believe verything you read on. Media o. I'v seen this guy go gaga right before my eyes @ the lagos island market. At first, he was hitting his head vigorously. He took pure water poured on his head like it was burning. B4 u say jack, this dude took off his clothes and started walking the whole of the island market! The whole market didn't interfere ooo...they were just staring. Lagos na wa. I really pitited him! He is no Yahoo-boy, infact after few mins he was fully dressed and came back to his senses. He was soliciting for help, tellin people how he was a student of one polytechnic and has been having the problem for years. This guy really quarreled with people that he believed took pics of him coz it seems some pple took pics of him just like what OP posted. U r lucky OP he didn't catch u, he was quite in tears why pple should video him saying " do u think I like this" "do u think I like this".....He is no Yahoo boi,and this madness just comes and goes like he narrated. #dont believe all u read online #I'v seen him with my eyes kororko @ Lagos Island market. |
@ efembaba; Yes its an anti-dote but with the little exports we'v been having, how well are they received abroad. You cannot start diversification when there are little or no labs for the SON to do their jobs effectively. You cannot Put the cart before the horse, its the other way round. Our agencies have to be well equipped before moving to diversification. |
News reports $1=280naira & could hit 300. And the people scream Diversify! Diversify!! But let's look @ the full picture! Few months ago, our agricultural products were banned from the European union because it didn't meet the standards for human consumption. Over 50 of them!!! It was said that the use of pesticides on it was much that it was harmful for human consumption. Whose fault ? Ans = SON(standard organisation of nigeria) Of what use is it, exporting local produce when it will only be rejected! Will our Govt throw them? Mba nu.:-P It'll find Its way back to our market & we'll consume what the world has deemed Harmful.....then in our myopic mind; we say boastfully "Disease no dey kill black man",lol If the foundation (SON) is faulty, Diversification as an alternative to Oil dependence is Dead in the water. #chukzy |
Can you imagine the rubbish utterances from CBN. That the fall is attributed to "speculation" like what the heck. You starve BDCs of weekly cash, you reduce the amount of operators with no plan B and yet you still go ahead saying its speculation! This CBN governor na real Otondo! $1 = 280! Chineke.....whether you are an Importer or Not, so long you are a Nigerian. This will Surely affect you because we always buy imported products #God dey! |
Vivly:Pls visit this wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple, an official site well-known, u'll see where a TYPICAL apple is written to have 126 calories. I didn't say those food wouldn't make you fuller. I said; abusing them, eating them In excess isn't good. An average human requires 2000 calories daily. If you workout, or depending on ur genes it could be more. But let's use 2000calories for example If You after eating for the day(morn, day & night) you consumed a total of 1800 calories from the food eaten that day and you walk to the kitchen an eat about 4 apples (480) to end the days eating. You'll see that you'v consumed for that day; 1800 + 480= 2280calories. More than your daily requirement. This extra 80 calories will be stored as fat. This is why foods with less fat and less carbs are advised, because you can eat them without reaching ur daily calorie limiit thereby creating a calorie deficit. Vivy, I'm up for an Intelligent discussion. If you think I'v misyarned so far, highlight my flaws! |
OP all what you have written there cannot make anybody slimmer, if taken in excess. To be slim, simply create a "Calorie deficit". I know fish eggs apple are beneficial with their nutrients but if abused(eating anyhow) u'll ADD. 1 Apple contains 120 calories 2 apple contains. 240 calories A bottle of fanta has 260calories Although fanta has no much benefits to the body, than providing energy. It has the same calories = 2 apple For a fruit,Apple is HIGH in Calories, pple should opt for fruits lower in calories like water-melon, cucumber and dem likes or eat little of High calorie fruit, but whatever you do. To lose weight, simple create a "Calorie deficit" I.e. Burn or reduce calories more than the calories your body needs daily and u'll lose fat! . If you need more clarification, quote me! |
Any criminal caught in lagos now, they will quickly say he was part of the gang that robbed festac banks! Ah ahn why una dey lie like this? Una just wan make festac residents like us go dey happy say una dey work #Linus eze-ashi! |
I have an issue that requires urgent attention. On my infinix, I went to "user" from settings and changed from "owner" to "guest". Not too long, I swapped back from "guest" to "owner". And guess what? My pics video & musics stopped showing. I tried to back it up on pc so I could do a factory reset, but my Pc cannot detect any USB connection. The last straw that broke the camels back, wass when I downloaded es explorer so I could transfer the files to my memory card. And guess what? It refuses to Install es explorer file manager! It says sumtin "parsin error". No version of es file xplorer online is compatible with the os 5.1. What do I do, gurus in this forum? Am fed up! |
