Where did PWC say that no money was missing? even the inconclusive report compelled NNPC to vomit $1.3b are you not aware?
Did I say pwc reported no moneey was missing? Why do u put words in my mouth. It was reeported $1.3bn was missing as against the $20bn outcry by sanusi. The difference speaks volumes. That's why I said pwc proved otherwise.

Yes, its just a mere opinion. If there's nothig tangible to back it up. That was how sanusi, a CBN Governor at the time said 20billion dollars is missing, only for pwc audit to prove otherwise. So my friend, so long no document can prove such statement, its just a mere suggestion. That's how we roll in 9ja

It is possible that we consume up to 40 million litres a day. I consume close to 100 litres weekly to run both office and home as PHCN is yet to resume for Christmas break in my area. So imagine what lagos alone with over 2 million homes would be consuming just on generators. If I am assume Nigeria has a minimum of 15 million households with our estimated 170 million population, majority without electricity, then If even 5 million households consume 4 litres daily with " i better pass my neighbor" generator, then only generators would consumption at least 20 million litres daily. We have not even started talking about cars and artisans like barbers, welders and small businesses.

What i am trying to say is that we cannot solve our fuel problems without solving our electricity problem. Having constant electricity can reduce our fuel consumption by up to half.
Thank God for ur detailed analysis. Its very very possible we consume 40million ltrs/day. Even an addition of dangote refinery cannot Meet the demand. Not forgetting the middleclass in nigeria is growing, so more demand for cars & bigger generators which would increase the demand for petrol. The only way to reduce the demand is to increase supply of electricity. Otherwise, Importing will still happen for years to come!

40m litres/day is the figure PPPRA has been quoting for some years now as our daily consumption. However, during the Ministerial screening, Ibe Kachikwu said that he believes the proper number should be closer to 30m than 40m.
---
Most industry people believe that the 40m figure was used merely to profit unduly from the subsidy regime.
Well I deal with the statistics on ground, in the oil sector there's lots of confusion there based on numbers. During jonathan's era, when talks of subsidy removal arose. Different people were quoting different Figures on how much Oil nigeria produced daily, so coming to a conclusion on numbers is a long thing in the oil sector. However, the agreed and available stats put our demand @ 40m, anything else is just mere opinion/suggestions

6.7m litres is the current refining output. At optimal production levels, the combined output of our refineries will be in excess of 10m litres/day.
That's still a far cry from our demand of 40million litres/day. And u can agree with me that even with the addition of dangote's refinery, we'll not meet up to the vast demand! There's no way dangote refinery can refine the shortge of 30million barrels a day

Hmmmmm... I really wish 2017 is already here, make dangote refinery begin production make we bullshit this oil importation of a thing. I think this blacklisting of a thing is linked to further devaluation of naira by those our oyinbo enemies.
I don't think we would even benefit much from the dangote refinery. According to the writeup above, its written we consume daily 40million litres of petrol, our refineries produce a meagre 6.7 million litres,
port harcourt refinery = 4million litres per day kaduna refinery = 1.3million litres
Warri refinery = 1.4million litres
So even with the addition of dangote refinery, we are still short of about 33million litres!!! Even dangote refinery I doubt can yield such daily. We would still have to source for the shortage & mind you, the demand for petrol may increas over the years to come

From the book "The wise Investor" by mark mcllroy

3 essential factors in accessing credits from banks, the 3 "c"s every lender looks for in a borrower
1) Cash flow : your cashflow determines how well you u'v been handling volume of cash

2) collateral : this is self-explanatory

3) character : Lenders love stability and hate change. When you are fond of changing jobs or changing homes, you cause them to worry.
RomanceRe: When Your Beauty Becomes a curse. by Chukzyfcb(m):
Just like I'v learnt from pastor kingsley okonkwo.
There is very little one can do with beauty, but so much can be done with ATTRACTION. No matter how you look, you need to POSSESS the ABILITY TO ATTRACT( for ur business, or relationship etc)

1) Have a healthy self esteem: people will see you the way you see yourself. Confidence is a very attractiv trait, that's why you can see an Ugly boy with the most beautiful chicks

2) Get a life: there is a glow that comes with being purposeful

3) Mental development: Intelligent people attract people. Read, observe, ask questions, be curious. It'll make you attractive in your daily conversation

4) And lastly Self support service: Eat well, exercise, take care of your body. Dress & smell good. Remmbr you'll be addressed the way you are dressed!

You would be surprised how many government owned/operated business dont generate money. The aimmay be a social one and not neccesrily for profit (ie schools of higher learning).

On the oil, I dont think IMHO that its the cost to extract that is the problem. I would think that the cost to extract in Nigeria would not be that high, though we are not very good at maintaining things, so our rigs and drilling plants could be more efficient, but lets set that aside for now. The thing is our budget was done on a higher oil price, so in short we are making a gross profit per unit, BUT.........the bottom line is not enough.
You have made very good points, yes if drilling & rig maintainace are efficient, cost of production should lower.. However, you cannot say we are making GROSS PROFIT where our budget is set @ Higher oil price to function.
We would actually be @ DEFICIT, & will require borrowing to complement that deficit. And if some govt business don't operate at certain times for profit based but simply for a social factor as u'v stated. Then, I think it means the job security of every staff in that establishiment hangs on the line. Overtime, lack of sustainability could lead to massive job cuts!

Most government policies are implemented not to turn profit, majority of them are done to keep the economy going and to maintain peace and order e.g. The Nigeria Police does not turn profit for the federal government, but it is a necessary institution to maintain order in the larger society.

If the government stop producing oil because, it no longer can turn profit, imagine thousands of people who will be jobless and the cascading effects to the larger society. Imagine the decay that will start taking hold in all oil infrastructures around the country, which will cost more, should we try to restart their use in the future. Imagine the amount of money that will be sucked out the economy and society. Also if we stop producing oil, what happen to the array of oil derivative products that our daily lives have come to unconsciously depend upon with no sustainable alternatives?

I can go on and on, but I believe that, you get the drift.
I'm sorry but I still don't get your drift, should a company continue to do business when its established knowleddge that you re makingg losses daily? How do u pay workers when you make losses daily? We can extract oil to sell amongst ourselve but for export purpose, its no longer economically viable for any oil coy to continue doing business @ 20$/barrel in Nigeria
Foreign AffairsRe: US and EU Officially Lift Nuclear Related Sanctions On Iran by Chukzyfcb(m): 12:36am On Jan 18, 2016
I'm aa bit confused. If Oil price nose-ddive to $20 per barrel, and its already afact that the cost of producing 1barrel of oil in Nigeria is $31, what's the point producing?

U produce $31 , sell at $20 per barrel? Even to a local market woman, that's losing $9....my question is why should we continue producing when its obvious we are losing?

MAN's president is behaving like an avarage lazy Nigerian, excuses excuses excuses instead of solution solution solution. We have been made lazy by relying of cheap oil driven economy for so long that we have forgotten how to be innovative and competitive. What stops a MAN from organizing a consortium of manufacturers and building an industrial village, where there can partner with other investors to provide basic infrastructure they need? They can partner with the new power distribution companies to provide constant power to them at a premium price. Housing estates like VGC have almost 24 hr power because of such special arrangements.
Modern businesses do not depend on loans only as source of capital. There are other sources of raising capital like crowd funding, joint ventures, etc. I have a friend in london who has chinese investors that are willing to invest up to $10 billion in Nigeria. He told me they are yet to find reliable and credible partners.

Nigerians should stop looking for excuses and reasons for failures and instead look for ways to succeed. There are a thousand excuses for failure but only one way to succeed.

MAN should pressure the National assembly to ease the laws and condition for doing business in Nigeria. For example to get license to produce ordinary pure water, NAFDAC would require a fee of up to N1,000,000. So a young entepreneur wanting to start a pure water business would need to find N1 million to pay NAFDAC before he even start searching for capital to pay for factory, equipments, trucks for transportation and distribution, pay staff salary and running costs, generator and fuel costs, etc. Then there is a pletoria of other agencies to pass through like SON, state governments, local governments and then multiple taxation.
This is just a simple pure water industry. You can imagine the huddles a entepreneur who want to set a fruit juice processing factory would face.
Its good to see you understand my stance. Seeing how expensive it is to startup production here, its difficult for the average nigerian to pick up the mantle.you just mentioned the fee necessary for pure water, and that's how it goes for other commodities. But I'll like to chip in something regarding power issues. There are reports on ground that our manufacturers of eleectric meters largely in the east have been pushed aside by the "dicos" I.e those in charge of distributing charges & interacting with the customers. Infact, the president of disco says what the manufacturers have produced are not upto standard that they require. So u can see the problem. One has produced, the other gives reason for not patronizing. The opportunities are there for any maufacturing industry to thrive, but external factors can hinder the growth. From hostile environs, to corrupt govt officials demanding one tax or another or even lack of co-operation from the populace. Its not just MAN alone, its a collective effort. But first, FG has to create the enabling environment for industries to thrive! POWER being the MOST IMPORTANT!
PoliticsRe: Senate Summons Emefiele To Explain N305 To 1$ by Chukzyfcb(m): 2:46pm On Jan 15, 2016
You tell people to avoid foreign products and patronize local product, okay where re the local productshuh How many products do we even produce and at what price, standard and quantity? Are you even aware of the cost of manufacturing in nigeria, according to the president of MAN(manufacturers association of nigeria) on Good morning Nigeria, NTA; he says the Cost of manufacturing is 2x(2times) the cost in ghana and 9times of what it is in China. So you can Imagine............
Its very easy to say, go & purchase local products, but the reality remains that there are not enough products to go round, and so many challenges like power, transport, cost of obtaining loans hinder local production to take place......There has to be working infrastructure before you even suggest local manufacturing. #my take

why is our bank also selling at that rate when you buy things online?
My brother I tire ooo....the same bank that will quote 197, will charge its customers, rates that are as high as what you'll get In the local market; if he/she uses their atm card for transactions Online! I wonder if the 197 is just for advert! CBN is probably jealous that BDCs greediness is giving them more money than they thought. They don't have our interest @ heart because the rates offered to customers is a far cry from the official 197 they advertise.
BusinessRe: CBN To Replace Local Bureau-De-Changes With Travelex by Chukzyfcb(m): 12:54pm On Jan 15, 2016
I read somewhere that CBN gives BDC's a mandate not to sell above 8%.
let's do the maths:
8% of 197 = 15.76
197 + 15.76 = 212.76....which means;
Bureau de change are not supposed to be selling dollar more than 212.76, but because of ojukokoro, anya-ukwu aka GREED!
Bureau de change buy at 197 sell @ 270, imagine they bought $60,000 (11.82m) weekly from cbn @ 197 but they will sell @
$60,000 * 270 = 16.2m
Profit of 4million naira in a week! You see how these chaps are ripping us off!
This is why I say sometimes competition doesn't mean prices will go lower, because these competitiors can go under an Umbrella and sell at a Close related price. Use BDC as an example or CEMENT manufacturers, they can always COLLABO and sell @ their agreed price

Rubbish! You want to introduce anti_monopoly thru laws? Are we not in a free market system? Competition will break DSTV's monopoly, not some silly ban. Moreover, who are those mentioning the price of subscription in benin , saying its cheaper than in Nigeria. Do you know the cost of running business in nigeria? Although manufacturing isn't closely related to this, but here is what the president of manufacturing association in nigeria said on tv "The cost of manufcturing in nigeria is two times the cost of what you'll get in ghana & 9times the cost of what you'll get in china".....this should give you an idea of how costly it is to do business here! ........little wonder, richard brandson (owner of virgin atlantic) said sometime he would never do business with nigeria because of how our so called regulators were always Milking him!

You are not the first or last person who will seek for greener pastures. Dubia is stressful especially when it comes to getting a job. you will most likely get menial jobs like being a gateman and the pay is not lucrative like it would have been in the us,uk and co

If you are a university graduate with 2.1 or stll planing to go to the university. I would advise you to apply for masters or undergraduate studies in Canada. its not expensive because most Canadian schools give scholarship and GRE ,TOEFL is not needed. You are allowed to work while studying off campus unlike us schools and also apply for citizenship after your studies and work fully, unlike Us schools which give a "cap gap". . Do not go through agents they will do the same thing you can do and charge you 1million naira. Just go to the school website and apply,if you are not computer friendly you can go to the can go to d cyber cafe

University of Manitoba and university of Regina have low tuitions
Oga e no cheap oh, I jst checked University of manitoba.
Tution fees = $13,600(canadian dollars)
@ CBN rate of $1 canada dolls = 138 ;

If you are talking about getting back millions you spent on wedding from rich people u invite or your dad invites, forget that side cos the more rich people u invite, the more expensive things u will buy to entertain them.

My cousin's wedding I talked about on my previous post, millions were spent and and I can tell u that his dad is well known and he has a lot of rich business associate and still yet millions weren't recovered. You think all these rich people spend money easily? They stingy die.
I do not know about your cousin, if you read my post I said it based on my own "CLAN" experience. What I do know is if I spend 4million today on my wedding, I am optimistic that I'll receive 2million in cash gifts and other intangibles put together. Its all about the CALIBRE of people that attend your wedding. Morover, if you have parents or you are the type that always make sure that you attend any event of these rich people. When its your turn, they'll always reciprocate the gesture. I'm speaking from experience. When president jonathans daughter got married, didn't you read where she got over 80 luxury cars? Do you know the worth of 80 luxury cars? That's over 1billion naira! Will you tell me the couples spent over 1bn on wedding?
