"When leaders put control into the hands of their people, at all levels, they unlock incalculable potential." —Dennis Bakke |
None of y'all are looking at it from the Investment angle. Although one spends 10m, the couple can recoup back almost 80% or even more of the money spent on the wedding. Are you wondring how? Well from the cash gifts and value of all the gifts you'll be given. It all depends on the Calibre of people that visits your wedding.....if your Dad has very rich friends, and you have rich uncles and friends who will attend the wedding. Trust me, you'll recoup part of that money spent from the cash gifts you'll receive. Am speaking as an Igbo-boi wey dey observe things for my clan! |
sojiadebayo:It should be a ram issue. Maybe ur cpu fell down awkwardly and the ram shifted from its port, that's why you have a black screen. Try adjusting it properly |
Hehe, no be small fine boy oo....Oga no go kpansh married woman o, if the husband catch you or the pikin. Proverbs 6:34 : for jealousy is the rage of a man, therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance |
bookface:You are very correect with your example of houses @ ikoyi, but you cannot use one area to adjudge for the whole of lagos state. The 8-9% is the average stat given. And while inflation increases by 1% or 2%. A landlord can always jackup rental fees by 5%, he benefits double : yearly rent + property appreciation! A treasury bill or bond has no appreciation, it only yields steady income, it has no growth! Real estate provides BOTH! |
bookface:Book facee, although you made salient points about ones choice of investment to beat the 9% Inflation. I would likee to state some an irregularity in one of your posted comments; It is false to say real estate in lagos & abuja yields 2-3% annually, according to the stats by 3investonline (a popular real-estate analyst coy)....lagos& abuja residential building yields between 8-9%, just as tthe land are overvalued, so is the rent skyrocketing due to high influx.....Nevertheless, the real gain in real estate lies not in the annual yield, but in the land appreciation. Every professional Investor & economist will tell you that real estate is always a good hedge Inflation! |
This cbn governor dey make me laugh....You ban the BDC from buying dollars from the banks telling them to go and source for it from "autonomous source",hehe....at the same time; you say you'll deploy MONITORING resources of where they source their dollars, na winch? You no gree gimme Food, yet you say you go dey monitor who I go go beg food from? CBN should know that these BDC's license is still very acvtive ooo,, if they don't want them make them refund them their balance. CBN increases BDC's operational license from 10m to 35m as cautionary deposit Licensing fee - 1m Annual renewal fee - 250,000 Application fee - 100,000 |
Gurls know they cannot physically manipulat guys. So they use "drama" to their advantage. As a guy, you'v to be very skeptical to any gurl who uses emotion(tears, or drama) to ovrturn a situation. They are so skilled @ it, and we guys are so susceptible to it. #OP , scrutinize that situation, dont fall for that tears, it could be a ploy to make you feel pity! |
nogames:Baba no mind them ooo; the bible says in 1cor 14 vs 27: If anyone speaks in a tongue, two or at the most three should speak, one at a time, and someone MUST interpret. 1 cor 14 vs 28 : But if there be no interpreter ,let him KEEP SILENT in the church, Let him speak to himself and to God. |
Let's not talk much about naira vs cedis.... The real talk should be how to capitalize on the High Interest rate of T.bills @ ghana. To me, the most daunting factor that could affect a nigerian investing there is "the change in exchange rate". How do I mean? **************************************** If 1cedis=50naira and I invest 1million naira(20,000cedis) in Ghana t.bills @ a rate of 20% for 91days. I'm expecting a profit of 997 cedis after 91days of maturity; making a total of 20,997 CEDIS....if I converted this money back to naira @ the same rate of 1cedis = 50naira, then I should be expecting 20,997 * 50 = 1,049,863 *************************************** But then, what If by the time I'm cashing out and 1cedis = 45naira, it'll be 20,997 *45 = 944,865naira. So u'll see that despite the HIGH INTEREST RATE of 20%, you will LOSE money if the currency rate changes by just 5naira!!! I came in with 1million naira but I'm leaving with 944,865naira. I lost about 56,000naira! ****************************************To be successful then, We have to hope the Ghana-naira currency should CAST sooo badly, I.e the currency of cedis should perform badly and that of naira should wax stronger. In other words, who can safely predict the outcome of the currency rate after 91days ![]() |
My brothers, Naira has more value than cedis. You do not calculate the value of a currency merely by looking at their exchange rate, NO! You look at the PURCHASING POWER! If 1cedi equals 60naira. The question is; what can 1cedi buy in ghana & what can 60naira get in Nigeria Say for example;1 cedi can pay for 1bottle coke only @ ghana but 60naira can pay for 1bottle coke and 1 biscuit In nigeria. It means the Naira has more value it has more worth to the masses than cedis.! Purchasing power should be your refrence point in determining any countrys currency not looking @ exchange rate! Its a wrong pratice! |
To start with being rich is a relative term. To mr A earning 100k monthly is his definition of riches to Mr B,being rich means earning 500k. So its relative like explaining success. Moreover, its not how much you earn that matters but what you do with what you earn and how many generations can you keep it for. Being rich and being wealthy are two different things!!! Its better to aim for wealth & Yes! you can be wealthy from being a salary earner..., in the words of buckminister fuller from the book#RichDad poor Dad; Wealth is a person's ability to survive so many number of days forward... or if I stopped working today, how long could I survive?- buckminister fuller In other words, if you (or you and your partner) stopped working today, how many days could you & ur family survive financially on the money/asset you have – maintaining your current expenses? As a salary earner, make it a habit to INVEST!!!this is your way to become wealthy if you would remain employed! In this life there are 4types of people E - employed S - self employed B - business owners I - Investors The "E" and "S" are middle class citizens, these are the ones we call rich.... those in "B" and "I" are those you can call wealthy.....to understand berra "read cash flow quadrant" by kiyosaki #Nigerians no dey read sha. |
I thought the older one gets, he/she is assumed to grow in maturity. Yaya toure has been talking rubbish these past months....it wasn't long now when he was whyning about a goal that was deflected by kelechi Ihenancho and was given to him, when it should have been his own goal. Like that wasn't stupid enough, he has come out to spill trash, 4 awards & still doesn't another person to win too.....#smellos |
While a student of NAU, from my 2ndyear-final year. You wouldn't find garrium in my room. So OP this isn't entirely true |
sdavirus:Where in that story is the word "guests" used? If someone says Nigerians have poor reading culture, you'll flare up! The title says "Wedding Guest" and in the story "aggrieved guest" is still used. Guests ko, individual ni |
marshalcarter:If you stay @round anchorage estate, I'll like to ask if you know "GREEN FIELD estate" within that apple junction. And what's your assesment about them! |
Rule before any INVESTMENT 1. Purpose; why are you investing, is it for a short term or long term need? 2. Time: How long do u want to hold on to your Investment ? 3. Risk: How much risk are u ready to bear? 4. R.O.I: what profit range are you looking at? |
Babe2sure:Build wetin? With 5million? Lool. It seems you dunno sup with the real estate market. With the purchase of land alone, money don finish talkess of build! |
Obynolee:Yes, I'm talking of fashion. New fabrics are always coming out. So if you use air to ship,, you will still make profit! Your post was only pointing out the cons of using air form of delivery. I had to clear the air & put some advantages, so people wouldn't be discouraged from using such means! Op, just needs to do enough research before buying & selling an Item. Its very obvious he didn't research well & set up a Good plan before Importing. |
Obynolee:This is not completely true! Yes, sea shipment is always cheaper, but those who use air cargo are concerned about SPEED OF DELIVERY! In some business like textile that I'm into; Before your stocks arrive by ship, people who used air would have sold at their own comfortable price before you come and put sand sand in their garri. And in business once you are the first in an area to get a NEW products before others, you will be the first to dictate the price! |
Although discount is a factor, I believe quantity is also very IMPORTANT. You are a MINI-importer competing against a MAJOR-importer. Example A major importer buys 10,000 piece of shoes at 1,000naira each. Total cost = 10,000,000 naira Cost of clearing goods @ apapa = 500,000 Spreading The cost = 500,000/10,000= 50 per shoe (Incurred expenses) Total cost = cost of 1shoe + expenses incurred= 1000 + 50 = 1,050!! So the cost of obtaining a shoe is now 1,050! As. For you a mini-importer, there's no way ur cost of expenses will be #50naira after purchasing your shoe @ the SAME PRICE with a Major importer. The quantity gives the Major Importer advantage to dictate price! |
lekkie073:There's nothing new under the sun Mr! Who will pay 70k per month for a place where "legs" are not passing? Do you want to run your business at a loss? How many customers come to the plaza? So one should pay the rent now and be watching passerby on the otherside? |
lekkie073:That area hasn't seen influx of people yet. Its still quite empty. Until then , I don't see people moving in there rapidly |
lekkie073:Sold out for where? Oga I'm into business and have family at tejuosho into business. So far so good I'm the only one to have mentioned the price and conditions. That alone should tell you, I'v been monitoring the situation. Who'll pay 7million naira for a place that is still dry |
jendhorlee:Don't sweat it man, Kiss daniel has proven to have the highest score based on your analogy. All the awards done by media Outift in 2015 for "Promising act" or "next big star".....Kiss daniel swept them all!!! Not even Lil kesh/Reekado won such amount of awards more than kiss daniel in 2015 ....here are a list of them; Extreme Awards (Benin Republic) Next Rated Artiste of The Year - Won Maya Awards (Ibadan) Newcomer/Revelation of The Year - Won Nigeria Entertainment Awards (USA) / Best New Act of the Year (2015) – Won Coson Music Awards / Best Song in Melody (2015) – Won - Africa Youth Choice Awards / Next Rated (2015) Won - Peace Achievers Awards / Best New Act (2015) Won - Afrima Awards Most Promising Act in Africa (2015) Won |
Op rapu oku, U sleep when the event is Boring! Shikena. I don't sleep in church, if I simply don't enjoy it. I pick up my things & go home!......some preachers are soo filled and very knowledgable but they are very POOR TEACHERS! If u listen to Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo...U can Never sleep!!! I say NEVER |
The new tejuosho market/mall is put at a lease price; Pay 7million naira for 25years....if you divide it to see how much it means yearly. Its okay! 7million/25yrs = 280,000(annual rent).....its fair but the question is; how many people can pay 7million at ONCE This is why its still very vacant!!! If the developers will accept yearly rent and not the long term paymennt of 7million, I tell u that new markeet/mall will be filled up in no time |
While you all are arguing between Lil Kesh & Reekado banks, the truth remains that Kiss daniel is the deserving winner.

OP stop speaking unnecessary grammer. The only reason Iphone sells higher is because "THEY KNOW HOW TO BUILD VALUE"....people usually make their buying decisions Primarily on "EMOTIONS"....the way U & I feel towards something determines how much I'm willingy to pay for it..#This is a top sales technique! No matter the poo Iphone brings out, people will always look at it as a phone with TOP VALUE, and no matter the specs TECNO puts in a phone, people will see it as CHINKO.....simply put, THEY KNOW HOW TO BUILD VALUE IN THEIR PRODUCTS" |
oribi:That dude atm machine is just a blind follower of rozay. I don't even remember any rick-ross and jay z beef |
