Toyota Motor Corporation is among the leading car brands in the world today, worth over $199 Billion in shares and has sold millions of cars worldwide.
In Nigeria, Toyota is one of the most preferred brands due to its durability, availability of spare parts and good resale value. In case you’ve been wondering the meaning of CE, LE, SE, XLE, badges you see on Toyota cars, worry no more as we have outlined them. Below are the various Toyota trim level acronyms and their meaning: 1. CE – Classic Edition (phased out in latest models) 2. DX – Deluxe 3. L – Entry-level 4. LE – Luxury Edition 5. S – Sport 6. SE – Sport Edition 7. SLE – Sport Luxury Edition 8. SR– Sport Rally 9. SR5 – Sport Rally 5-Speed 10. VE – Value Edition 11. XL – Executive Luxury 12. XLE – Executive Luxury Edition 13. XLS – Executive Luxury Sport 14. XR – Extreme Rally 15. XSE – Extreme Sport Edition 16. XRS – Extreme Rally Sport 17. EX- Extra 18. TL – Touring Luxury 19. GLX- Grand Luxury Extreme 20. TX – Touring Extreme 21. TXL- Touring Extreme Luxury 22. GXR- Grand Extreme Rally 23. GLi- Grand Luxury injection 24. XLi- Xelucrane Luxury injection 25. LT – Luxury Touring 25. LTD- Limited 26. SV – Special Version 27. VX – Value Extreme 28. VXR- Value Extreme Rally
LE is an upgraded model to CE, it has everything that CE would have but LE has more features than the CE (This trim has been phased out in newer models and “L” replaces “CE” as base model). For example, a CE 2000 Toyota Corolla has manual window while LE has power windows.
SE is the sports edition. It has a sporty look both in the interior and outside. The struts and suspension are stiffer and it comes with high performance Tyres. The SE trims are better when it comes to handling and it will take a good driver to find all these out.

Politics › Re: DSS Beefs Up Headquarters Security Ahead Of #FreeSowore Protest Today by churchmind: 4:22pm On Nov 12, 2019 |
fergie001: Ahead of the planned protest by activists and civil society organisations at the headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja today, the agency has beefed up security around its facility.
The activists said they were protesting the continued detention of the pro-democracy activists, Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare despite a second court order granting their release.
This morning, a large number of armed DSS operatives were stationed around the building of the security agency.
At least four hilux vehicles were also stationed on the roads leading to the DSS' headquarters.
Also, there was an increased number of operatives attached to the first gate with an outrider squad patrolling the vicinity.
Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, on Sunday raised the alarm on a plan by the DSS to file a fresh charge against Sowore in a bid to keep him in detention indefinitely.
The DSS had prevented activists, lawyers and families, who came out on Saturday morning to receive Sowore and Bakare following a statement by the agency's spokesman, Peter Afunanya.
In spite of continued local and international condemnation of the DSS' flagrant disregard of court orders and violation of rights of the detainees, the President Muhammadu Buhari regime, the All Progressives Congress and supporters have been unmoved.

Politics › Re: ANALYSIS: The Real Revolution To Occur As DSS Fails To Release Sowore by churchmind: 11:47pm On Nov 11, 2019 |
xristos: "Someday, the worker must seize political power to build up the new organization of labour; he must overthrow the old politics which sustain the old institutions, if he is not to lose Heaven on Earth, like the old Christians who neglected and despised politics" - Karl Marx
Omoyele Sowore, a political activist and publisher of Sahara Reporter was arrested on August 3 by State Security Service (SSS) prior to his #RevolutionNow protest. Although, many have argued that Mr Sowore was not arrested but kidnapped in the dead hours of the night by Nigeria's secret police. The revolution protest was to express Nigerians displeasure against the challenges rocking the country. The challenges include lack of potable water, decay infrastructures, and most importantly, elites corruption among others.
Despite Mr Sowore's arrest, or better still kidnap, the protest still held in 21 cities across Nigeria on August 5. The Nigeria government argument is that Mr Sowore was planning to forcefully hijack power from the incumbent. After keeping him in detention for several months, he was eventually arraigned and charged for treasonable felony, terrorism and abuse of President Muhammadu Buhari. Legal experts have said the case did not have substance. There was a court order that asked that Mr Sowore be released but the SSS as known for being notorious in disobeying court orders refused to grant the Sahara Reporter Publisher and his co-accused, Olawale Bakare known as Mandate bail.
When the duo prosecution proper started, another judge, Ojukwu of another Federal High Court granted another bail to the duo. Angered by the bail conditions considered too stringent, Mr Sowore through his lawyer, Femi Falana approached the court for bail variation which was granted. Sowore and Mandate have long met their bail conditions but the secret police wouldn't free them. Could it be a case that they are enjoying Sowore's company? No, that cannot be the case. It is the routine and norm that happen in this administration. The norm to continue to detain folks granted bail by the courts. The norm of not respecting laws and order.
It is well understood that the government is scared of revolution basically because they are myopic. They felt revolution means forceful change of government. No, that is not the revolution Sowore and his cohorts were/are demanding. He was simply asking for checks and balances which Nigeria lack since 20 years we started on the path of civil rule. There's no reason why a government should be scared of revolution if truly it knows that the masses belong to them and the masses cannot be for them except they attend to their plights.
The same government finding the war against insecurity and other challenges difficult quickly believe that the purveyors of revolution (w)are brutal. No reasonable government will expect citizens to keep quiet. That was why John Stuart Mill says: "As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing to battle against oppressors". Revolution according to Micheal Lenin happen when two conditions have been met, "first, the ruling class can no longer carry on ruling in the same old way, and second, the working class won't let them."
Revolution can either be bloody or bloodless but that depends on the reaction of the government to its people's request. This is a country where citizens are killed on a daily basis. This is a country where the average person can only eat rice on Christmas and Sallah days. This is a country where our minimum wage is far below what is meant to feed a prisoner in America on a daily basis and yet the Federal Government through its agent, State Security Service believed that the continued detention of Sowore will not eventually lead to revolution.
While Sowore's #RevolutionNow protest was to send a signal to the world that Nigerians are ready to send the failed leaders out of the system, the revolution that will come for his continued detention will expose how judiciary is not an arm of government in Nigeria. How the judiciary is merely used by the executive arm to victimise prisoners of conscience like Sowore, Agba Jalingo, Dayidata and others.
The government must know that one day the kids of the poor will resist when they understand that their country is the capital of world poverty because of the corrupt practices of their leaders. There will be a revolution when citizens fully understand that our lawmakers are lawbreakers, perhaps 'legislathieves'. Folks will storm the streets with stones that day they realise that their president, governors, chairmen and cabinet members are mere 'executhieves'. There will be war that moment Nigerians demand a better judiciary rather than the 'judisharing' we run today.
The kids you refused to put in school, the kids whose parents die because Federal Government budgeted N2000 for the health of their parents when billions are budgeted for president travels will one day grow to locate the kids of the rich - they will terrorise and kill them.
Federal government is scared of revolution but the continued detention will eventually lead to revolution. A socialist once said that "if the working class don't push revolution to a successful conclusion, the old order will re-impose itself and the whole sorry mess will start over again and so, it will continue indefinitely until they either succeed in transforming society in their interests, or it ends in the common ruin of the contending classes and perhaps the end of the human race."
Free Sowore and other prisoners of conscience now!

Politics › Re: Femi Fani-Kayode: The Drowning Man By Kcub by churchmind: 6:01pm On Nov 07, 2019 |
kcub: *FFK: FINAL DAYS OF A DROWNING MAN*
Femi Fani-Kayode has been without a job since 2015 when he jinxed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) out of government. Things have been hard and his only source of income is to peddle fake news.
He once claimed DSS had invaded the home of former CJN, Walter Onnoghen. He even once said Osinbajo would be forced out many months ago.
But I will like to set the record straight with the latest FAKE NEWS by Femi.
When you see a deranged fellow like FFK being vocal in public you need to first ask if he has taken his daily meds. For someone who failed as a minister in a government that did not even require him to perform at any extraordinary level, you wonder what standing he has to make the kind of brainless statements he throws out on social media.
Having been used and dumped by the PDP, he is left to face the music alone at the EFCC trial. All this posturing and social media bravado he tries to put up are a pointer to one thing, he is trying to curry favours as the professional political jobber that he is.
Even his former boss, Obasanjo has told the whole world the type of character that FFK is. “Femi Fani-Kayode is my boy. Provide him food, he will eat and then sing for you. He’s a smart boy.” This is the summary of all that FFK stands for in Nigerian politics. He is even putting the cart before the horse now, as he is now singing like a drowning canary before anybody has given him food these days.
Femi the new estate agent in Abuja should do well to tell us the address of this ‘rented apartment in Maitama’ that he claims the aides were moved to. Which office is paying the rent? Clearly Femi is just another tale-bearer who gets his news from beer parlour gossip with zero evidence.
He is trying to posture himself as a champion of the South West but even the most uninformed political novice can see the blatant irrelevance of this substance-abuser that should be in a rehab clinic, due to his prolonged relapse episodes since 2015.
This is 2019 almost ending and FFK is yet to find any positive endeavor that can keep him gainfully employed. He got sidelined at the PDP convention after they sold him a dummy by making his wife (remind me of her serial number on his wife-beating list) a member of the PDP Convention Sub-Committee on Welfare. For someone who got the best UK education money could buy, you would expect him to be the least bit intelligent on legal matters. This man studied Law for goodness sake! He has chosen to remain perpetually clever by half on all matters where the name Osinbajo is mentioned. He is keeping true to his jobbing stock in trade, holding out in the hope that he will be invited to “come and chop” in this administration. The usual modus operandi is to make enough noise that they will eventually give you something to keep you quiet. That template is now very outdated.
The man you try to castigate by calling him an errand boy is more globally respected than you could ever dream of, even in your most befuddled chemically-induced hallucinations. The video is out there when high level professionals were scrambling for his autograph before he could leave the podium at the Intra-African Trade Fair 2018 (IATF) in Egypt after he gave a deeply insightful speech in Egypt, with no papers in hand as usual.
FFK cannot claim to be wiser than millions of Nigerians who voted and are still in support of Osinbajo and Buhari. Even with all his ‘famzing’ that he attended Cambridge with the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, a good reason why is he still on the outside despite all the fabled alumni loyalty and fraternity of the old boy network, is that FFK is one of the most toxic and treacherous fellows in Nigerian politics. The apple does not fall far from the tree, if you know, you know.
The social elite that he calls his friends in Abuja now tactically avoid him like a chronic leper. No amount of pontificating and bible quoting for devious and mischievous reasons can change the facts of the matter. Osinbajo is light years ahead of FFK and his whole lineage. Yes I said it. @theSURVIVINGaide, person no go talk true,so all of this epistle is about OSIbaba VS FFK,u don dey serious for work now. |

nairavsdollars: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
Elder statesman and the Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed on Wednesday said the Federal Government should ignore the condition given by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for returning to the country.
Kanu who recently lost his mother, Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu and is seeking to return to Nigeria for the funeral had said that he was ready to face trial if his safety would be guaranteed by the court.
However, speaking in a chat, Junaid said Kanu who committed a criminal offence by jumping bail has no right to give the federal government any condition for his return to the county to face trial.
“First and foremost, who is he? What is IPOB itself? One, he jumped bail which is a criminal offence. Now he is saying his mother is dead and he must be allowed to come home”.
“He is now giving the federal government conditions for him to return to the country. Let him burn to ashes and go to hell”. “I don’t know why the media is giving unnecessary coverage and attention to scoundrels who are just agitators whipping up sentiments to destabilise the country”.

HonMike: The Kwara State government Environmental Task Force adhoc committee set-up by Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have been working round the clock to ensure that the state, especially Ilorin the state capital is kept clean and green while ensuring that the indiscriminate dumping of refuse along waterways which has caused flooding in the different parts of the state is totally stamped out.
The government is also aware of the epidemic this unwholesome act of waste disposal could cause; a reason why the Governor in his stride to make governance total and egalitarian, constituted a committee to curb this disturbing trend that had for a long time turned the state capital to a rather filthy Capital City.
The Task Force working on the instructions of the Governor earlier today presented waste bins to market women in the major markets in Ilorin in order to ease the burden of waste disposal and achieve their target goal of clearing the streets of garbage heaps.
Presenting the waste disposal bins to the market women through the Iya-Loja General, Alhaja Sidikat Akaje, the ad-hoc committee which includes Ibrahim Akaje, Yinka Bello, Oloyin Lateef Adebayo, AbdulRazak Jeddah, Kayode Oyin Zubair, Obasanjo Alashi and Musbau Esinrogunjo reiterated the government's readiness to fight indiscriminate waste disposal head-on and reassured the market women that government will cooperate with the leadership of the various market associations in a bid to ensure stipulated rules are strictly adhered to by other marketers and members of the public.
Alhaja Sidikat Akaje responding on behalf of the market women from Ipata, Oja Tuntun, Oja Oba, Gegele and Oja Ago appreciated the Governor's resilience and determination to ensure that Ilorin metropolis is safe for residents and visitors alike. She promised on behalf of the marketers of her association's continued support to the government at all times.

MetaPhysical: Prison is an oven of some sort. When we desire to use fire element to transform the state of an object we enclose it in an oven and subject to high degree of heat. The object undergoes a slow but continuous change in its properties so that what you get out at the end of the change is different from that which was put in at the beginning. Prison inmates can be likened to objects sitting in a trans-formative oven and waiting for change in behavioral properties or characteristics. No doubt, after a lengthy sentence they come out a changed person.
We Yorubas are the pioneers of urban societies in Nigeria and we lead in social activism. We have a long list of activists against social injustice and inequitable treatments. We can go as far back as Chief Amodu Tijjani Oluwa, the Oluwa of Lagos, Herbert Macauley, Mrs Ransome Kuti, Chief Awolowo, Chief Adekunle Ajasin....to Fela Kuti, Dr Beko Kuti, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Iba Gani Adams...and so on.
When one of us rises up to lead a fight against social injustice it is expected that we will support him or her. It is a danger to rebel against authority. Therefore the leader of the protest must be a person of undaunted courage and proven endurance of spirit and resolve. When all else fails, he must stand and face the music. He must not flee. None of the people I listed above has ever fled, and even when their person, their family and their properties were greatly humiliated and persecuted and brought under undue pressure to succumb, they refused to yield to the pressure and remained resolved throughout. This is our pride!
In the case of Sowore we have so far seen that he is unperturbed about his bail condition and he is not under pressure to come out of prison. He seems to not care what harm or injury he suffers while locked up. He is content, no stress and no anticipation of a hurry to get out on his part. We are watching him...and this is good! It will be to our advantage that the fears of the unknown is completely cleansed from his spirit so he becomes a hardened political activist, who in the face of danger is ready to risk it all to deliver those youths and elders we will commit to be his followers in the field.
We may not be available to rush him out of this oven, we want him well baked.... We are intolerant of half-baked activists and separatists quick to flee across border at the fire of a mortar. If Sowore wants to lead Yoruba to the front he must undergo the hardening and become resolved. So far he is taking it in good spirit and stride. We will reward his endurance in due time.... since u've come out to respond on this issue, please don't be offended if I may ask u to throw more light on this historical issue that the HAUSAS coin the name YORUBA as mentioned by@ffk |

Politics › Re: There'll Be Another Civil War If Nigeria Breaks Up With Biafra –Emir Of Argungu by churchmind: 9:24pm On Oct 09, 2019 |
KEVIND: Alhaji Samaila Muhammed Mera, the Emir of Argungu, has warned that Nigeria risks another devastating civil war if the calls for the country’s break up are not halted.
The first class monarch and foremost traditional ruler said the nation is better off as one entity.
The monarch pointed out that if Nigeria was separated today, each of these ethnic groups would start rising against each other, waging supremacy war and this would lead to another civil war.
He said, “I am not a constitutional lawyer or politician. Whatever restructuring would take place in this country, my sincere advice is that we are better off to remain one Nigeria than divided into pieces,” he was quoted by Sun.
“I keep on telling my friends in the South-East, South-South regions of Nigeria that it will be a sad day for me whenever any one of them would have to collect visa before they could visit me. There is strength in number, unity.
“We are over 150 million now in term of our population and there was a forecast that before end of this century, Nigeria’s population would exceed 300 million making us the most populous nation behind China and Indian.
“If you look around the world today, the most successful nations are those with highest population. Like I said, our problem is that we are not patient with our leaders.
“Just imagine, if Igbo break away, how many land space do they have? The same thing with Yoruba, the same thing with us in the Northern region.
“Every part of this country has something to offer to other regions. We are better the way we are now. Whatever our grievances are, let us embrace dialogue and address our differences.
“Whenever I hear our people are agitating for Biafra here, another region calling for break up, I feel sad.
“We must not forget what happened to Albania, Yugoslavia, and others when they separated into seven nations.
“Their country was the most vibrant nation in Europe in term of economy. But today, they are small nations with inadequate resources to cater for their citizens.
“This should be a big lesson to us. If we break up, all of us would suffer for it, because we have many ethnic groups and tribes across the country.
“If we were separated today, each of these ethnic groups would start rising against each other, waging supremacy war.
“May God forbid, that would be the beginning of civil war. Instead, we should continue to pray for our leaders, unite for the country’s survival and development.
“We need to fully tap our potential. We were made to understand that Zamfara state is the richest state in Nigeria in term of gold deposits.
“Have we fully utilized this potential? Also Kebbi state is blessed with gold and other mineral resources. “In fact, each state across Nigeria has two or more natural resources that could change the economy of this country for better. We were also told that there are large deposits of gas in the Northeast.
“Let us bring all these potentials out, utilise them and I am optimistic that all these threats of breaking away, restructuring and others would be history in our country.”
