@4ril, Why disturb your self over VO asking you why you defer admission  , VO will never ask you neither does s/he know if you defer (unless you told him),  If an admission is deferred the school issue You a new i-20 which state the new session you are starting from and I'm very sure (you can challenge my certainty) they will never write on your new i-20 "admission deferment". So the kind of question the VO will ask you solely depends on the answer you give back in reply to question he asked previously. Please construct your answer very well so that they don't look conflicting before the VO who will use that to get your Achilles heel , SHIKENA

@ obokun22, We have seen your inquiry no need triplicate it, you can expedite your appointment booking by doing as advise on their website (You must first book an apointment before mailing them). Hope that help to answer your question

I got my 1-20 and Admission Pack for Spring 2011 Semester from Northeastern State University,Oklahoma yesterday.
Foremost,for personal reasons i intend deferring the admission to Summer 2011;should I inform the school first
about my intentions so they can issue a corresponding 1-20 or should I just schedule an appointment with the Embassy as planned,
then when i get the Visa I tell the school to get me deferred to Summer 2011.

In respect to your question on SEVIS payment, you can only pay for it once and its valid for only 1 year, so if u pay for it now u do not need to pay for it again except if it expires.
 
Deferment of admission is solely school decision so you have to find out from your school what are their requirement and also how many terms one can defer (Note) some school do not allow international student to resume school during summer so find out from your international student advisor

Lastly, on the idea of getting a visa and travelling at a later date than what is specified on passport / i-20 (arrival date), that has been an issue I can't give concrete answer on because I learnt from someone that the P.O.E officer do not giv a damn about Nigerians when it comes to entering their border at a later date of entry ( Me I don't want to believe that yet) even though u have your new i-20 and document to back up your new/late arrival.

Reading this forum from onset I first felt nothing was wrong doing arranged marriage but toward the end I felt sorry for the ladies who got divorced by their Nigerian counter-part its really a sad story but one must learn to forgive, Its the present state of Nigerian economy that had warrant such if not i see no reason why someone will leave his country to nationalize in another country. National Visa Center (department of states) are the once to do that and everyother thing has to be completed with them before they forward your file to the embassy for an interview/visa. There's no way on earth that they will approve an immigrant DV visa for you and send it to the embassy to sit and wait for you! who filled out the biological information for you? (you do that before your file gets to the embassy) who did the affidavit of support in your absence? (also needed before dv approval) who do you think you're fooling? don't even fool yourself more by cooking up stories.
Just incase you don't know, there are people that came here in the 60s that are legal residents of the US but not citizens. In July of last two years or so a law was passed that you can't renew your 10yrs green card morethan once! before them, it cost only $90 or $190 to renew a green card and some people can careless about becoming citizen (thats not my case anyway). And if you dey wonder how I become citizen, stay there dey wonder till you turn to wonderer! make sure you wonder how I came over here too.
