Hi. This is medicine after death. If you had these thoughts before you collected your call up letter, you won't bother yourself because the plan would have set itself.

I would advise you go back to your parent house and plan afresh. I am quite sure you saved some money during your service year, you can hire a small space(shop) in a local area, do business like charging of phones, selling recharge vouchers, registering WAEC, JAMB for students, groceries etc. This was what I did for two years before I got my first job that pays between 75-80k/month though contract anyway.
NOTE: If you have pride, you won't be able to do the business because its a business that requires you to interact with more of kids, get insulted etc. My customers latter knew that I am a graduate when they saw me in clean suit, tie, shoes going to work then respect came. Goodluck.

They are not collecting any CV. I have a friend in their Adeniyi Jones branch currently on contract with them, he told me that HNDs are recruited via outsourcing, while Bscs are recruited directly as full staff via online.

That has always been the assumption of people especially those who don't understand how Staff Seconding and Resourcing works. There is a difference between Contract Staff and Seconded Staff. ICS provides Seconded staff as well as Staff Resourcing. Government regulation will never allow illegal deduction from s staff. That's slavery. Most recruitment firms make money from Service Charge penned down on the contracts and not on individual seconded staff payroll. Take a look at India, China and othe Asian countries whose economies thrive on outsourcing.
As for allowing ''full staff'' to molest you, that's mostly based on one's self confidence and level of understanding. You can only allow your fellow staff boss and molest you if you are not sure of your terms of service. Nigerian need to read more.

@ALL Please if you know that you don't want to work as a contract staff and would not want to be molested by a full staff(colleague) in the bank or wherever they place you, then, I would advise you stay back. I am talking from my own experience. Those full staffs that you had same qualification(BSC OR HND) with, will surely molest and downcast you(You will turn to errand boy and girl). Your duties will be more than theirs with poor pay, while, theirs will be good pay, other benefits and less responsibilities.
But, if you can bear it, then go for the job. I can never apply for job through outsourcing firms again.

This thread is dedicated to all polytechnic graduates who took the pains to go to school for 4,5 and or 6years.
Mine was that some weeks ago, I applied for a job with stanbic pensions and was told they don't take HND. .. Just BSC. I felt bad but moved on. I knew that wasn't mine and simply told my Bsc friend to apply and he was taken. Thank God the space wasn't a waste.
Please let's share our experiences and hope some day thing's will change for the better.

I know how you feel. please confirm when you applied for pension that you were turned down because I know people who are working with the institution you talked about with HND..

in fact, I am one of them working with the institution with my cool HND for 1 year plus now.

congratulations!!! I don't have idea on their test format but, they are reliable.

Their interviews are usually though, recruitment process very fast and they are very professional. If you can pass their interviews, the rest is history.
