TV/MoviesRe: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Chysler(m): 8:29pm On Aug 21, 2017
At some point we will arrive at the end of Game of thrones, and probably many deaths will take place. That's when Brandon Stark, son of Eddard Stark, decides he'll travel back in time and try to stop the Night king, his army, and the events from taking place. I will write about his journey back in time after explaining how it's possible he can do this.

When the three-eyed raven says "You will never walk again, but you will fly" he means through time, and not only warging a dragon like many fans believe. There was a reason Jojen Reed (who also had the greensight and knew even more things about it than Bran) did not become the three-eyed raven himself. The reason is that Bran is even more powerful than both Jojen and the three-eyed raven (Brynden Rivers) in the way that he has both greensight and the ability to warg. With this combination Bran is even able to affect the past by warging into Wyllis, and eventually making him become Hodor, which proves "the ink is dry". He also gains his fathers attention outside the tower of joy, and even gets touched by the Night king in one of his greensights. Bran believes he is eventually (with more knowledge) going to be able to rewrite history and that's why he decides to go back and stop the Night king several times, but fails every time, ending up fulfilling the timeline-circle and taking the identity of the Night king himself.

The first time, he tries to prepare the Mad king for the white walkers and makes him (through the same whisper-method used to get Neds attention) prepare wildfire under King's landing, where the white walkers attacked (this attack is in the future for us viewers). But Bran fails, as the Mad king goes crazy from the whispers and instead tries to burn the city.

The second time, Bran goes even further back in time (as he continiously learn his abilites he is able do go longer and longer back in time) to try discover how the others were defeated the first time. He fail again and instead succeeds to become Bran the Builder, building the Wall and securing his birth by building Winterfell and creating the words "There must always be a Stark in Winterfell".

The last time, Bran goes back all the way to where the Night king was created, to warg into the human that later is going to become the Night king (or maybe even try to kill the children of the forest). He wargs into him to instead stop the "dragonglass into the heart"-event from happening (or maybe in his attempt to kill the children, he gets chosen as the vessle for the NK). Only he doesn't think of that the children of the forest won't recognize him from the future, and that they at that point are in war with the first men (he is gagged because of all the wierd future-talk). When he realized he failed again, he tries to go back in the current timeline, but can't because he's too deep into the past and stayed to long ("it is beautiful beneath the sea, stay to long and you drown"wink. From here Bran gets stuck in the past (exactly as Brynden and Jojen warned him not to) and becomes the Night king. With the combination of the childrens magic and Brans power, he becomes the villian instead of the hero he tried to be, resulting in turning against the children for creating him and getting stuck behind the magical Wall he later builds as Bran the builder.

Immortal as he is, he waits for himself to be born thousands of years later, knowing when and where he has to be to mark the young Bran, personally kill Brynden Rivers for hiding the truth about what would happen with him, and eventually being able to destroy the wall with a certain dragon. The reason the Night king doesn't end his misery by killing his younger self, is that he finally learnt the ink is dry, and he would fail again. The reason he doesn't kill Jon Snow, and instead observe him at Hardhome (maybe even resurrected him at Castle black?) will be covered in the end. Ending up marching south and once again fulfilling his timeline which we will see in the following two seasons.

You can actually see in the scene where young Bran goes back to the creation of the Night king, that when the children push the dragonglass into his heart, we see Bran tighten his grip on the veins, just as it is himself experiencing the pain. Also in the end of the flashback, Bran is laying in the exact same position in the cave, as the human pushed up to the tree is.

This theory also parts with Jon snow being the prince that was promised, who eventually has to kill his little brother Bran (Night king cannot kill Jon Snow at Hardhome then, can he?), giving us a bittersweet ending

Rorachy:
Finally I watched this episode.

Chai, see as Dany just dash night king one dragon.

This war will be hard to win o.

Did anyone notice how the hound refused to help one of his brotherhood member that the beast was attacking?

I sense love chemistry between Jon snow and Dany(My queen), Dany is gradually falling in love.

Best episode ever.
The hound has a phobia for fire... The bear was on fire and he couldn't approach becos of it... Remember his brother the Mountain put his face in fire wen they were kids... If you also noticed when Beric wanted to put his flaming sword on Thoros wound inflicted by the zombie bear, The Hound turned and walked away... Go watch the scene again

Who do you blame? THe Igbos or the Ikas that forsake these beautiful Ika names and start giving their children names that don't have any meaning in Ika language, culture and believe. Any chi and chukwu names are not real Ika names. and imagine someone giving his son Kelechuku which means greet God instead of Kpanmiose which means thank God. or Anwuri instead of Ighogho or Aghogho. Onu Ika need to change pstrategy and start resensitization of Ika people.
They are igbos , they were never Edo or bini people before.... Leopard can never change its spots... When the Night comes the chicken must come to roost... The raging river can bark, roar and yammer as long as it want but when the time comes the tree stump that fell inside it must always sail up.

Some people are asking why the NK spear killed Viserion... Some said is magic which might be true but that's not really why Viserion died...it died becos Dragon blood are believed to be boiling and hot evidence being in their spitting of fire and therefore the NK's ice spear must have thru natural means or magic cooled or freezes it boiling blood leading to its death.... If Bronn's arrow that hit Drogon was made of ice wether magic or natural, it would have also died like viserion

I'm telling you. Drogon was the airlift & had his back to the NK and was just a sitting duck but for some reason, boss decided to aim for viserion. The thing no just make sense.
Chairman at the time the NK raised the spear, Viserion was the one doing the damage at that moment... It was spitting fire on the wights and that's y it became the priority target not the sitting Drogon getting ready to fly...

Im telling u and d show may end up becoming boring and thus loosing its ratings.
I can never see Game of thrones becoming Boring or losing its follwerships... If the presequel is done as the present or even with more tilt to epic heroism it will keep millions awake all night waiting to watch it... Imagine titles like the "age of the heroes" being depicted into motion picture.... The aura of its epic spell will keep us creating long threads.

We should probably start protest early to demand they give us pre- sequel of scenes before Roberts rebellion... Starting from the invasion by the first men and their war with the children of the forest, the flooding of the neck, the peace pact, the invasion by the andals with their sept... The balkanisation of the andals into the seven kingdoms, the battle for the control of the trident by the storm kings, iron borns and the vale... Then the coming of Aegon and his sister wives but before this they will show us the ghizcary empire of essos, its rise and fall... The rise of the slaver bays and the coming of the dothrakis... The finding of the dragon egg by valyrian shepherds and the eventual rise of the of the valyrian empire and its cataclysmic decline into the Boiling sea... Then the beautiful city of volantes with its rise in worship of the God of light... The sacking of volantes by valyrian dragons which led to the grey scale disease as a curse and the eventual voyage of nymeria woman warrior of volantes to Dorne sea she was accepted by the Martell families alone and how she conquered and ruled the Dorne after marrying the Martell prince... Also the rise of bravoos as a economic power by slaves..

All this and many more needs pre-sequel... We demand this... If transgennders and gays can have their right, it is our right to be entertained... Hashtag #HBOgiveuspresequel. huh

Affirmative, boss.
If you see the execution of Ned's older brothers Brandon & their father Rickard as the jumping off point of the rebellion, then it'll have lasted two years between then and their final assault on dragonstone.
And seeing as Rhaegar's actions at harrenhal was what made Rickard travel down to king's landing to demand justice in the first place.

So between the time lyanna eloped with Rhaegar to the tower of joy scene, at least a little over year should've elapsed. And ned was leading the rebellion together with Robert for that whole time as well...... So after spending that much time away..... Catelyn had no reason to doubt his words about Jon.....
+ na which mumu man go just claim say him go smash ashawo_for no reason?
I get your explanation... What normally makes the war seems short to me is the fact that Robert always pride himself with winning 3 battles stretch in 3days... This always creats in my imagery a short war... Thanks!

IamLEGEND1:
He basically died at the hands of the Wight walkers but the children of the forest halted the process of his transformation into a wight by shoving a piece of Obsidian into his chest. So he's basically an undead half Wight, half human.

2. Robert never knew about lyanna's child..... He didn't even know she was pregnant. Even Ned didn't. The newborn he met at the tower of joy came as surprise to him as much as anyone else who wasn't Rhaegar, TSOtM and everyone else present at the tower....
So all he had to do was say the child was his and problem solved.
Does it mean that the timeline following her crowning at harrenhal by Rhegar and the war of the usurper and eventual vanquishing of rhegar at the trident was that long for her pregnancy to have developed up to delivery without Robert or Ned knowing ?? And even for Robert to claim Jon as his bastard and his wife believed himhuh

I have questions...

1.what really happened to Uncle Benjen?

2.What did Ned stark tell Robert about the child lyana gave birth to before dying?? Or was he even aware that she was pregnant and gave birth at all??

Skookum:
He's still bound to his oath as a sworn brother of the night watch.
The oath will stop binding with the loud expectation of the night king... The brotherhood is now a shadow of what it used to be and the men are now fewer and isn't expected to withstand the wights alone.... When the NK passes that wall as expected the night watch becomes history and all living men will either be fighting or scampering for safety...and when the war is finally over and NK defeated there may never be any need for the night watch anymore... That's the premise of my theory postulation... Sam will then have the right to become Lord of the reach and Highgarden

That Tyrell boy is stupid, Following Sam's father, he just wasted his life, he should have swallowed his pride and bend the Knee, he would have even became the leader of his clan, he was behaving like the whole thing is his war....

Too bad he perished in Drogon Fire at such tender age.
They are Just Paving way for SAM TARLY to be lord of the Reach and Highgarden. Remember Sam already left the citadel at old town and will probably end up learning of his fathers death and going home to claim his succession since the lineage of tyrells are gone.... Remember also the significance of the valyrian sword his father refused to hand over to him as his heir which he took while riding with Gilly to old town.... I see Sam becoming lord of the Reach and HighGarden

LF have started plotting his death... There is no way he is escaping this time...He is surrounded and he knows that... Knowing Arya is now a sword woman and Bran revealing to him "chaos is a ladder"... And still going deceitfully to collide the two sisters is suicidal.... he is a caged rat now but the death that will take a dog does not allow it perceive the smell of feaces....

If Jon seats on the iron throne.... Whoever marries sansa and am suspecting Gendry, will winterfell still be of the starkshuh This is really boggling me.

kay9:
The show ran out of source material (the books) last season, and sadly its really glaring now. It started with the miraculous arrival of the army of the Vale at the Battle of Bastards, then Varys miraculously shows up in Dorne a few minutes after leaving Meereen. Now whole armies are moving from one end of the realm to another in an eye-blink, and their opponents are amazingly ignorant of it until the army show up at their doorsteps. Varys' primary role as "the Spider" is now virtually redundant.
Now someone has a point... The scripts are now hurriedly written and is now not properly thought through like the scenes in the books.... I would have preferred waiting 2 years to have a better plot rising than this hurry hurry ... Where are they rushing to, did they forget something in the markethuh angry angry

Varys has so far failed no less than 3 times in a span of two episodes to provide any intelligence of the enemy's movement. They literally move armies of tens of thousands right under his nose. Where was the Tyrell army? are you going to tell me that a ten thousand men army can take a heavily fortified castle in a frontal assault (and they are willing to sustain the colossal losses even though the lannisters havev already lost more than half the army they started with at the war of the five kings)? Where's the realism that made this show so great? It's all gone down the drain for the sake of the plot.

GMan650:
Oh yeah! You're right. But there's a theory on one of these youtube channels that Arya might be dead. The narrator explained that it made no sense as to why Jaqen will name Arya 'no-one' for killing the waif AFTER permitting the waif to go after Arya and kill her(punishing Arya for not killing the actress). So, he concluded that the waif might have killed Arya thereby using her face all this while and Jaqen was actually referring to the waif as no-one for killing Arya. The narrator also buttressed his point by claiming that a left-handed Arya suddenly became right-handed when she was paying for a cabin on her way back to Westeros and when she slashed Walder Frey. The explanation made me think that was probably why Nymeria didn't follow Arya when they saw each other.

All are conjectures tho as me no wan believe
Even though the thoery is quite convincing, I still believe is Arya BECAUSE when she takes someone's face, she takes totality of the person's physical attributes including the right handedness you pointed out... But can still be in control of her original memories and that's why they can REMEMBER to change back to their original face after taking someone's face for a mission
