Dats quite different from the one I used..... A long time ago I used a morning -after pill and I ended up leaking milk from my breast which is very abnormal cos it leads to infertility. My doc gave me d drug to use for 5days and I had no side effect.
Dat drug is most times prescribed for ttc women to correct hormonal imbalance, guess dats d one chyvv is talking about.

Yes, that's d one I mean. To correct galactorrhoea (dunno if I got it right).

Thank you mama, it is well o. She takes Cerelac, Gerber oatmeal and Friso Wheat. Once in a while she takes normal foods like amala, rice, mashed Irish potatoes, noodles but she's so addicted to the cereals that regardless of the quantity of normal food she takes, she only gets satisfied after taking cereal.

She takes the cereals well. Yes, she's teething. I'm guessing it's because I gave her Cerelac about four times before daybreak last night all because of this weaning. I'll change it this night and reduce the number of feeds too.

She's not taking this weaning easy at all, she's not been active as she used to be since yesterday and today she stooled about 5 times. I'm just confused, dunno what to do. Help mamas.

My dear, nighttime feeds are usually d hardest to stop but like I experienced with my lo, if u usually feed say 3 times per night, u can start by missing one at a time, the feeds closest to nighttime so at d end u are left with early morning feeds. Even if she cries, u wud have to ignore her.

Its unusual for her not to be active, what solids do u feed her? And is she taking them well? About d stooling, is she teething, running temp? Or could be from d foods u're giving her? pele dear, it is well

I think d drug hormonal and act by inhibiting d hormone responsible for lactation. They might have long term effect since they mess up with d hormones. Might be same reason it is advised not to take the oral pill.

Hello mamas, I'm trying to wean my baby i.e. stop breastfeeding totally. I didn't breastfeed her at all yesterday and by the time I woke up this morning, my Brea.sts were engorged, painful and very heavy as if they want to fall off my chest. What can I do to stop this? Please I need answers, I'm still feeling the pain.

I think u may have to taper off breastfeeding, instead of going cold turkey. U can start with reducing and/or missing daytime breastfeeds like every other day for some days and then moving on to night feeds. The pain will be lesser dat way.

Pls @kaffy4bill and other mums I need your advice.My baby is 5 weeks old and this colic thing is getting out of hand.I burn his navel with hot towel,I give him infacol before feeding yet this thing isn't improving.He barely sleeps for an hour before I see him arching his back and groaning right before he wakes up.He passes out lot of gas tho.I try to burp him after each feed but it's either he's asleep before he's done eating or it takes almost an hour to get him to burp.Pls I'm a FTM,I'm getting frustrated here and I want my happy baby back.Is there anything I'm not doing or should do?

I noticed my baby's colic reduced when I cut out dairy from my diet.

Lol. Na Benin u dey too? D rain no b small. I came down wit malaria, d doc prescribed coartem saying its safe during breastfeeding, but I've refused to take it since I read d leaflet. Looking for safer option

Babies can take adult milk from 1yr.

But instead of going all milk,why not try cooking with bones(yes,bone),sea food(periwinckle,lobster,shrimp etc not forgetting icefish especially d head) and veggie and give ur baby. Not only will people admire ur baby color,it will also boast their immune system thereby fighting diseases.
Believe u me this is all ur baby need. It can be in form of peppersoup so ur baby can drink d water.

Natural food any day,any time is the best for ur baby.

I certainly agree wit u especially the bones, which is mineral-rich. Egg yolk, liver, chicken, beef and fish are also good. But again one may have to be careful with some seafood cos of allergies. But other than that, its way to go

finally do u use a diff pot for preparing ur baby's food? or can I use d one I use for the entire house?

No, I don't add egg yolk. I boil an egg separately, take off d white and then feed her d yolk. I don't add formula/milk either. She doesn't like it. Any airtight container will do but I don't get what u mean by watery when kept in d freezer? Why would u want to freeze it? I haven't tried dat option though but I once tried d room temp thingy and it didn't stay fresh for long.

There's a special small pot I keep handy for her food but sometimes converted to other uses wen d need arise.

in short my baby s stopping exclusive n I want to start introducing pap . cereal n formula sabi mamas I need advice o.

I personally stir fry first befor blending. And then store in a glass container in the refridgerator. I make a batch that lasts an average of one month and it stays fresh.
On adding d crayfish, I usually add it after preparing the pap and cooled down a bit. I don't stir in the crayfish at once after adding. I place on a part of d pap in d plate and then stir in bits while feeding. I do this becos I noticed after stirring in the whole lot and left to stand for a while, it makes d pap have a watery consistency. I don't know why, maybe d salty nature of d crayfish.
So I stir little by little from d corner while feeding simultanoeusly. I dunno if u get me wish I could upload a pic so u can see

Abi ooo. They are really different. To think the cereals and formula my baby rejects are very well enjoyed by some. And as a FTM, dat just bought different brands thinking my baby will like them. SMH
