Ladies, would you ever go back to natural hair and how would your husband/boyfriend feel about it?
Why is it that almost no women have natural hair these days - excluding school girls (compulsoryunder school rules)
In the 60s and 70s, there were loads of women with natural hair - what is the reason for this massive flight from natural hair. Do we fear that our husbands will abondon us or like us less if we went back to natural?

I think it is up to the daughter-in-law to set boundaries thta will determine they way she interacts with her mother in law. People always treat you the way you let them treat you.
If your mother in law is walking all over you in your own home, it is because she knows you will let her get away with it - she can smell your weakness. It is up to you to stand up to her

Very true indeed - the way you treat her should depend on the way she acts in your house. I'm not into this Nigerian tradition of respecting every one who is older than you. Some people just don't deserve it when you look at the way they treat/talk to others.

I don't think it is so much the fact that the mother-in-law is staying with them - it is the fact that she has taken over completely, making all the decisions

Ok for all you husbands defending the mother in law, look at it in another way.

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF YOUR WIFE'S FATHER (YOUR FATHER-IN-LAW) CAME TO LIVE WITH YOU AND YOUR WIFE IN YOUR HOUSE AND STARTED MAKING ALL THE DECISIONS THUS PREVENTING YOU FROM BEING THE MAN OF THE HOUSE?

If your neighbour is being very pushy with you, then it is because you have been too friendly with her. The more friendly you are with a person, the more likely they are to take liberties with you. Good fences make good neighbours but in your case, you failed to keep your fences up, hence she is trampling all over your lawn.

1) The first thing you need to do is stop being friendly towards her and adopt a cooler, standoffish attitude towards her - no need to be rude, just don't be friendly. Be cool and standoffish.

2) Keep your front door locked  - unless your husband is at home with you.

My advice is to break off the engagement. Do not marry her. If she is already nagging you like this before you are even married, it will get 10 times worse once you tie the knot. If you marry her you are signing up for a life time of pain and headache.
