maestroferddi: Let's assume that Jonathan has a hand in it as the C-in-C.
What would you and other unreasonable APC supporters do about it?
Keep deluding yourself that you are in charge... In a democratic setting? You fools don't realize that this clueless man is so desperate and acting like some deranged dictator his team and clueless followers always label Buhari. Clueless "C-in-C" that couldn't use his power to resolve insecurity is flexing that same muscle now to intimidate oppositions. If INEC says yes, we will vote (thank God it's independent) he would have gag those ones into submission too. yeye |

Nigeria Army? The military will never say this unless GEJ has a hand in it...Nigeria is doomed under this man. We will vote, security or no security...no level of intimidation will deter us from exercising our right. |

akinsadeez: Iran, a state that US described as ''an active state sponsor of terrorism'' wants to help us fight boko haram. Check their wikipedia page, Iran is described as 'a central banker for terrorism'. It is well known that Iran actively sponsors different terrorist groups in different states all over the world. Furthermore Iran is a core Muslim state and would most likely be a sympathizer to the plot by islamize Nigeria. If Nigeria is refusing US' help to fight boko haram then we have no reason to partner with Iran because unlike US there is a great possibility that they will only come into the country to aid boko haram rather than fight them. There is nothing wrong in seeking foreign help but Iran should be the last on d list. Actually I'm not doubting the fact that they may have other hidden agenda, but Iran is a Shi'ite state and I think they participate actively in the fight against IS who are Sunnis, and you know Boko Haram has affiliations with Islamic State and are also Sunnis. So I think being a muslim state is not the problem here. |

Iran on Saturday announced plans to assist in the fight against Boko Haram, as part of its contribution for global peace.
The country’s Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Amir Hossein Abdollohian made the announcement while addressing the press on Saturday on the sideline of the ongoing 24th Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa.
Abdollohian said the activities of the Boko Haram militants and that of Al-Shabaab in the Somalia were similar to that of Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State and other terrorist groups in the Middle East.
“Boko Haram in Nigeria and Al-Shabaab in the Horn of Africa are similar with Al-Qaeda and ISISL in parts of the Middle East using similar methods of operations to cause havoc to the people of the two regions. Iran is therefore willing to use its experience in dealing with terror groups to assist in combatting these groups in Africa.”
He said Iran was willing to share its experiences on terrorist activities it gathered over the years in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and other parts of the Middle East with Africa, particularly Nigeria and Somalia, as part of efforts to ensure global peace.
According to him, Iran has opened consultation with the African Union to offer its contribution to the affected countries in the coming days.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Iran is attending the AU Summit as an observer with interest in bilateral and multilateral cooperation with some of the AU member states. http://www.punchng.com/news/iran-offers-to-help-fight-boko-haram/What do you guys think of this coming from IRAN? |
