I am a Christian but let us reason together like grown-ups.

Let us ASSUME that the Shiites were bad before now (emphasis on "assumption".
Let us assume they have done bad things against Christians in the past.

But right now, they have decided to turn a new leaf, seek peace with all men and tow the path of peace.
(Mind you, l am not saying they are Evil, this is only an assumption so l can make my point).

Question is: What is wrong in one correcting one's past mistakes and seeking to make peace with a former "enemy"?
Is that not what we Christians preach?
Is that not what Christ taught us (to strive to do good to others)
What is wrong if they show us love.... and we in-turn, show them love?

Is it not commendable that they are "making the effort" to promote peaceful co-existence?
Should we not encourage them, lead them and make a good example for them to follow so that they are even more inspired to understand that "We do not hate them".... but we are for peace?

Christianity is NOT BY WORDS OF MOUTH, it is BY ACTION AND DEEDS.
The Bible asked us (Christians) to "Let your light so shine so much that men will wonder and ask: Which God do you serve" (so they may also serve).

The meaning of this is that we must lead by GOOD EXAMPLE and be an INSPIRATION to others.

Irrespective of what is going-on between the Shias and the Sunni people in Govt right now (I hope we all realise that "all Nigerians" in general, are not the one having an issue with Shias, the problem is between them and "those in power" we Nigerians wil welcome anyone who sues for PEACE, with open hands.

The Shias have done it and l commend them wholeheartedly.
The Sunnis, if they also want Peace, should do same and extend a hand of friendship.

We Christians should also reciprocate by opening-up dialogue routes with them, explain further to them that we do not wish to disturb them in the "free practice" of their belief/religion and they in turn must show respect to Christians in the practice of our belief/religion.

Religion is of the heart, in the heart and is between you and your God.
God (whichever one you believe) is too big and powerful to require a mere man, who cannot even create an ant, to fight on his behalf.

If you think anyone has insulted your God, then be sure that "god" is watching him and would punish him at the right time of His choosing.
Dont be overzealous and extremist by killing others, claiming you are avenging for God.
God does not require it and He does not want you to do such.

Thank you Shia Muslims, show Nigerians that you are not what you are being portrayed as.

I am impressed with this very well. Muslims extending an hand of friendship?wow. God will continue to bring peace between both religions.

If only the Igbo's and Yoruba's can extend a genuine hand of friendship to each other, the South will be a very powerful people to be reckoned with.

Learn to read with some comprehension and stop allowing tribal sentiments clog your arteries whilst blurring your eyesight! Restructuring/federalism and session are all open options. Until either one is achieved or decisive moves are made in either direction, Igbos will occupy their due positions, simple!
