I’ll try to make this brief. As a man, you’ll need to make some tough decisions and this may be one of those times.

Keep in mind that I don’t know your financial power or other details. But I believe you won’t want to stress your pregnant wife by making her work with the twins.

This means, traveling with her puts the burden of 2 on you at first and later, the burden of 4. Can you handle this while she heals?

You also need to understand that combining school with 20hrs of work and being a dad to twins will be tough, been there, done that. Let people who’ve had babies far away from their homeland testify to this.

People have suggested bringing your mother or mother in law. That’s one more mouth to feed and shelter. You need to carefully consider this and your stand.

I feel, if she stays back, she can rely on the support of family to bear the maternal stress that comes with twins. You can also rely on the exchange rate to send substantial amount home monthly.

It’s careful planning. Please think it through and weigh your options carefully.

Truly it’s not easy to get accommodations here in uk, though Grace and Favor differs, but have it in mind that it’s not easy to get accommodation and truly, it’s not gonna be easy since you’re the main applicant who will be hustling for the whole family with a 20hrs barrier, but more importantly, it is easier to bring the kids while they’re still in the tummy than when they’ve been birth.
He nor go easy o brotherly paying rent, school fees and caring for the family, but like I said it is surely much easier to bring the kids in the tummy. All the best and may you make the right decision and may God bless and Favor you and your family.

Thanks a lot justwise av paid 50% of my school fees already so I only av 6k to pay from January not just that am also planning to pay 6month rent 1 bedroom flat by God grace once Iwe get to UK and so I will make sure I buy most of my babies items from Nigeria so I believe if I can do dis it will ease the pressure on me before I settle down

Now to your question... this is going to cost you money, not for delivery but after delivery.

Firstly you need a suitable accommodation for family of 3(studio accommodation is out of it) , baby materials for the twin.

There is no free money coming from the govt, yes if your wife is employed and worked for a year she will get her maternity leave paid for 9months .

Delivery in the UK is definitely a good idea but after delivery is when the real cost sets in.

So please think and plan well

Are you the one studying? If so that is cool. Let your wife apply for dependent visa. With dependant visa, your wife can still study full time.

Apply for dependant visa for her. She doesn't need to go back to Nigeria for everything. You can bring her mother/your mother or other female family member to help her with visitor visa. Visitor visa is cheap so don't waste money going back to Nigeria due to safety and flight costs.

Her dependant visa covers free child birth in the UK. Your twins will also get UK birth certificate. When registering them in school, hospital and many other amenities, they will be treated as UK Citizens due to the UK birth certificate.

Your children don't need to apply for visa if you give birth in UK. They only need visa if you plan to go out from the UK.

If your wife worked for 26 weeks before giving birth, she will get free money from the government. She can even work part time to benefit. This is called Maternity Allowance for nine months.

If your wife do not obtain visa now, she will pay hospital money in Nigeria. Very risky to give birth to twins in Nigeria due to poor medical facilities. You also need to apply for visa for the twins to come to UK. You will also need to renew the twins visa to avoid deportation.

You won't bear all this stress if your wife gives birth in UK.

IHS is only for you and your born dependants not the ones still baking in the tummy

Giving birth in the UK doesn't add to anything, there is no citizenship by birth so it will depend on what she wants.

Bear in mind you might need to sort out things like passport when you are returning to Nigeria if you still decide to go to the UK

More information will hopefully help, again the decision is entirely you and yours to make

Yes, but this will depend on the visa vignette date on your passports.
As long as they arrive the UK before it expires then that should be fine.

When your visa and that of your dependants are out, you can make a decision

Hey kindly look for alternative of barter card. I have barter card and funded it but got declined when I wanted to pay for IHS . . I had to buy dollar from aboki and deposited it in a friend’s domiciliary account ( Gtb) she has an atm card it. Family of 3 about $4,300. I don't think this person printed from the day the money was deposited. How did I know this? I printed a test sample of my pof 3days after money was deposited into my account, and its showing my "Opening Balance" (amount that was). I think that is where the problem is. You account statement might not show when the money was deposited, but your Opening Balance will tell that a huge amount was deposited.. I don't know if I'm making sense..
