A job in Shell, NLNG, Chervon, Total etc is the dream entry level job for almost all fresh graduates and sought after career move for most experienced people. Young people seeking admission into universities base their course choice on course suited for this industry.

Growth in Oil and Gas industry is going down. The days of headline news such as Shell investing billions of dollars in FSPO in the Niger Delta is almost gone.

Rather, what we are hearing is Tech Giants fighting for a space in the Nigerian market. Facebook CEO and Google CEO personally visited Nigeria within an interval of 18 months apart. And each promising to investing millions of dollar in developing manpower in IT sector of our economy In the 60s it was fashionable to be a lawyer, accountant or doctor, in the 80s everybody wanted to be an engineer.

But in this millennium the future belongs to those that invest in knowledge economy and not commodity economy.

Get prepared for the future; acquire the skill set needed for knowledge based economy. Get trained and prepared for the future. Check out what some new trainees did after 8 weeks training on Web Technology at http://gradeinfo.com

What is your comment on their work? Please be nice remember these guys are just fresh developers and they did this after 4 weeks into their training.

Politics / Gov. Ayodele Fayose Has Replied To APC Over Alleged IPOB Sponsor by Classicjadon(m): 11:17am On Sep 18, 2017
The governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose, has reacted to claims made by the All Progressives Congress (APC), that he is the one funding the agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The governor who took on his facebook page stated that the ruling party was making such a claim against him because he had spoken out against the killings by the military in the south east.
We cannot all be cowed. The militarization of Nigeria, being witnessed now can only be likened to 1984 when Buhari was military head of State.

Killing people in the Southeast just because some people are agitating is wrong and I wonder why none of our so called human rights activists is talking.

Herdsmen have sacked a whole community in this country, has anyone been arrested for all the killings by herdsmen?

If because I am speaking against the wanton killings being done by the military in the Southeast, the APC is saying that I'm funding IPOB, was I the one funding the people of Southern Kaduna when I condemned the killings there? Was I funding the Agatus in Benue State when I condemned their killings by Fulani herdsmen?

Was I funding the Shiite Muslims when I condemned the killings of El-Zakzaky followers in Zaria?

-Gov. Ayo Fayose

Crime / Nigeria Police Listed All Crimes Commented By Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB In Abia State by Classicjadon(m): 10:51am On Sep 18, 2017
The police in Abia state have highlighted some of the crimes alleged to have been committed by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) during the recent riots that took place in the state. The police claimed that soldiers recovered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and petrol bombs from the house of the leader of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB.

Commissioner of Police for Abia, Mr. Anthony Ogbizi disclosed this while briefing the visiting Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Operations, Force Headquarters, Taiwo Lakanu, in Umuahia, the Nation reports.

1. Petrol bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) recovered from Nnamdi Kanu’s house
He said soldiers recovered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and petrol bombs from Nnamdi Kanu’s house.

2. Looting and burning of the Ariaria police divisional headquarters
The police said thirty IPOB members were arrested by soldiers in Isiala Ngwa area of the state, while the remaining seven are accused of having a hand in the Friday looting and burning of the Ariaria Police Divisional Headquarters.

3. Carted away three pump actions and other police materials after attacking a police officer
Police Commissioner Anthony Ogbizi told visiting Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Operations, Force Headquarters Taiwo Lakanu that Ariaria station officer, an assistant superintendent of police was attacked by the arsonists He said: “They were armed with petrol bomb. They burnt police vehicles and carted away three pump actions and other police materials. Some officers were injured and in fact as I’m talking to you, one of the injured police officer, an ASP is dead.
“The doctors tried their best to save him, but they couldn’t. Now, we have lost a soul. And you know what it takes to train a police officer. And you know the vacuum created. Once a police officer is gone, it takes a minimum of one year to train another."

4. Attack on law abiding citizens
The police also accused the IPOB members of attacking law abiding citizens “Simultaneously, they carried other attacks on law abiding citizens of this nation. You could see along the road the destruction of vehicles belonging to citizens. Certainly you cannot say that that is a peaceful demonstration. I think this attack was orchestrated to get arms which they succeeded in doing. Thank God the police succeeded in securing other arms. They attacked a bank may be with the intention to get more money to buy arms."

5. Confronting the military
IPOB members were also accused of confronting the military. “IPOB, going to that extent, cannot say that it is a non-violent movement. While this one was happening here, along the road in Isiala Ngwa, the same IPOB members in droves confronted the military and the military were able to arrest up to 30 of them. “They will be prosecuted for rioting and unlawful assembly and other things. While that was going on, the same IPOB carried attack of various manner in Umuahia and even tried to collect a rifle from a female military officer. In the process, the military resisted and were able to arrest 19 of them."

6. Attack the quarters of the assistant inspector general of police Zone 9
The police in Abia state also accused IPOB members of attacking the quarters of the assistant inspector general of police Zone 9 and that of the commissioner of police “At the same time, along the road leading to Umuahia, they set up bonfire attacking the police and innocent citizens and pulled out traffic stands. The vicinity where the attorney general of the state, assistant inspector general Zone 9, commissioner of police, and other residents live. They attacked the quarters of the assistant inspector general of police Zone 9 and that of the commissioner of police.

7. Kanu's house was the attack base
The police also alleged that Nnamdi kanu's house was the attack base for most of the mayhem unleashed by IPOB members on Abia state. “And the house of the self acclaimed leader of IPOB, Kanu was the house they usually come out from to carry out these attacks and information reaching us is that they have started gathering there. Many exhibits were recovered from there like petrol bomb and coat of arm of Biafra.
“I know that 90% of Abians are not in support of this, but a few hoodlums and some others from other states operating under the disguise of IPOB with the motive to cripple the economy of Abia. If this is not planned, how could they come in droves to carry out these attacks? At a time, a mobile patrol vehicle was moving and IPOB members poured petrol on the van with intent to burn it. Imagine if that was successful. I’m glad that eastern governors have proscribed the organisation."

8. Kanu’s father not in police net
The police however denied the allegation by IPOB that security agents whisked away Kanu’s father and some members of the IPOB leader’s family. Ogbizi said: "We don’t have Kanu’s father in police net.”

I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made.

Jobs/Vacancies / These Are 2017’s Most Attractive Employers For Students by Classicjadon(m): 3:16pm On Sep 14, 2017
Global tech giants and accountants dominate students’ list of ideal employers, with Google and Apple ranked as the best places to work.

The largest and most high-profile tech as well as financial and professional services companies continue to pull in millennials, according to rankings produced by branding agency Universum.

Universum surveyed nearly 300,000 business and engineering/IT students in the world’s largest economies: Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea, the UK and the US.

Engineering/IT students are predictably more lured towards tech companies than their business counterparts, but the top ranked companies are largely consistent with the aspirations of students in previous years.

This said, millennials are starting to turn away from corporate giants that employ over a thousand people, in preference for medium (up to 500 employees) and large (up to a thousand employees) companies.

The survey also underlines the importance of social media for all corporations, which comes up as the primary source of information for students researching a prospective employer, over and above the employer’s website and face-to-face sources like careers fairs and presentations on campus.

Millennials’ desire for work/life balance is also reflected in the results, with students singling it out ahead of other career goals such as security, an international career or intellectual stimulation.

When it comes to motivation, there is a divide between the two groups of students: business students are primarily driven by a desire for high future earnings, whereas engineering/IT students crave a creative work environment and innovation.

Politics / Death Of Nnamdi Kanu Could Lead To Another Civil War - Igbo Group Warns by Classicjadon(m): 4:27pm On Sep 13, 2017
The Igbo Youths Initiative (IYI) has warned that nothing must happen to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The IYC warned that the death of Kanu would lead to another civil war in the country. The group issued the warning just when controversies have continued to surround the claim by Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to Kanu, that his client’s whereabouts are yet to be known.

President of the association, Prince Alexander Ezeobi, warned the Nigerian Army to leave Kanu’s hometown immediately. “It is very unfortunate that the Army has left the north east where they are currently losing ground to the terrorist group, Boko haram to the peaceful south east to intimidate hapless citizens,” a statement by him said. Ezeobi reminded the Nigerian Army that it was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinard at Saragevo in 1914 that resulted in the First World War.

According to him, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has become another Archduke Ferdinard for the oppressed in Nigeria. “I want to say that what they (Army) are doing in the south east is operation show of shame. If they have strength what happened to the ultimatum given for the kill or capture of Abubakar Shekau? “They should know that Nnamdi Kanu has become the voice of the voiceless Nigerians. He represents the suffering masses and we are solidly behind his quest for a restructured Nigeria.

“However, if those who don’t want Nigeria to become better kill him, we the youths would not fold our hands .Whenever an Igbo youth remove his shirt, things would happen. “So, we want to appeal to the military to stop this provocation in the interest of peace,” he said.

Politics / Fayose Reacts To News Of Nigeria Being Out Of Recession by Classicjadon(m): 8:54pm On Sep 06, 2017
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti has reacted to news that Nigeria was out of recession describing it as inaccurate. In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, on Wednesday, September 6, the Ekiti governor claimed the statistics upon which the claim was based is meaningless to Nigerians.

He said: “The reality is that Nigerians are suffering and dying, with foods out of their reach and no amount of economic statistics will make meaning to people who cannot afford to eat once daily.”

He described the news of the country being out of recession as similar to that of when it was reported that the country had defeated Boko Haram. “Claiming that Nigeria is out of economic recession without any corresponding effect on the living condition of the people is just like they said Boko Haram had been defeated and over 400 people were killed by the insurgents in the last five months.” The governor also described the reason given for the cancellation of the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday as funny.

“Is it not funny that the same federal government that declared public holiday forgot that there would be a Tuesday after the public holiday and FEC meeting will be held on Wednesday? “Me thinks they should look for another lie next week because the reality is that President Muhammadu Buhari does not have the required mental capacity and strength to rule Nigeria and I maintain that he should consider his health as well as the overall interests of Nigeria and resign.”

“If Nigeria is indeed out of economic recession, has price of foodstuffs like rice reduced to N7,000 per bag that it was when Buhari took over power? “Is dollar now N197 to $1? Is petrol now back to N87 per litre that Buhari met it in May 2015? Are Nigerians now feeding comfortably, even if it is once in a day?

“Most importantly, are states now getting enough allocation from the federation account to be able to meet their obligations, especially payment of salary?” “It must be stated that Nigeria’s foreign reserves, which stood at $28.6 billion by May 2015 that President Buhari took over power declined steadily to $23.89 billion by the last quarter of 2016.

It was in 2016 that Nigeria slipped into recession, owing to the bad economic policies and repressive actions of President Buhari “It is sad that the APC government has remained on the path of lies and propaganda and I wonder why the government can’t be truthful for once.

“However, if this latest lie is about 2019 general elections, they have missed it because Nigerians can no longer be received by the APC lying government. “Nigerians should therefore disregard their lies and keep praying for God intervention in the affairs of the country.
