Babe, Man has to get Man back. The above is a simplified explanation of ONEITIS. Stay away from the Six D's of a man's depression. SAVE A MAN debbydams: |
To make things clear here. You never had a girlfriend. DO NOT date sluts. You are inviting unnecessary chaos in your life. Chaos and drama hinder you from focusing on your goals as a man. Be patient with yourself, a better woman will be attracted to you and she will submit under your command. Be a man and stop exploiting too. YOU DESERVE BETTER |
So I recently received a really nice invitation to apply for a job on Upwork… The job sounded interesting (and a good fit for my skills)… The client seemed nice, with a solid Upwork history that proves they are a serious client… Even the invitation itself contained a nice message written to me personally. Seems like a dream situation, right? And yet, I declined it almost immediately. Can you guess why? It’s not because I was too busy (although I am pretty busy - but might be able to work in one more “dream client” at the moment)… And as I already noted it’s not because the client didn’t seem pleasant, or the job didn’t sound interesting, or anything like that! Now you might be thinking, “ok, the client must have had some bad reviews in their history, right??” And the answer to that is also no! They did not have a single bad review from any of the freelancers they’ve hired in the past… Nor did they leave any bad reviews for freelancers in the past! “Alright, what gives then?!” Fine, I’ll tell you. ![]() The client had a habit I didn’t like. And that habit was this: Even though he’d hired a lot of freelancers, he did not leave a single one of them a REALLY GOOD or GREAT review. Many of his reviews were just star ratings without any words. And when he did write words, it was usually just a short sentence or two - nothing really eye-catching. Now when I’m working on Upwork, I am always aiming to get a GREAT review. And I usually get it. Of course, I don’t get it every time - no one does. Once in a blue moon, a client doesn’t leave a review, and sometimes they just leave a “GOOD” review instead of a great one. But still, I am always AIMING to get a great review because great reviews help to SELL clients on hiring you. They are extremely valuable. And with this client, I was suspicious that that would be impossible because it looked an awful lot like he just had a HABIT of leaving MEDIOCRE reviews. That’s fine - that’s his choice - but I don’t want to work with a client if I don’t at least have a shot at getting that great review. Now you might say, “Well, maybe he just didn’t think any of those freelancers did a good enough job for him to leave them a great review!” Maybe - but from reading his reviews that is not the feeling I got. It seemed like he was genuinely happy with a lot of them, but for whatever reason was unable or unwilling to take the time to write them a really nice review. Now maybe if he were the only client on Upwork, I might just take a chance and work with him. But… He’s not. ![]() There are millions of clients on Upwork… So why would I possibly lower my standards when there is absolutely no need to? That would be like going to the grocery store and buying a half-rotten apple…when there are tons of beautiful shiny perfect apples just sitting there! (Maybe not a perfect analogy, but you get the idea.) I have high standards for my freelancing business. And I encourage you to set high standards for yours, too. If you don’t do it, I promise you that no one else will do it for you! You are the only one who can do it. So do it. ![]() That’s all for now… Keep Freelancing To Win… -Clickguy44 PS: Want to Create an approved Upwork account + free materials to get started, Click here to get started +++ https:///3jPF8dX +++ Copy and paste the link on your browser to chat with me on whatsapp.

Superb addition bro. To add to the "Nice guy" gist. Just about everything a Nice guy does is consiously or unconsciously calculated to gain someone's approval or to avoid disapproval. Live your life, everyone is too busy and "selfish" about theirs. Nelson21: |
Are you shy and socially awkward? If yes, then this post is for you. Here are three ways you can get out of your shell and live the life you always wanted as an introverted shy person. 1.Develop a `zero bleeps given` attitude by remembering that you have ONE LIFE This is going to be a hard sell for the shy ones out there. The introverted among us have higher sensitivity to the word, thoughts, and opinions of others. However, you`ve got to let all that go if you want to become confident and charming. People are going to think you are strange, uncool or stupid. Accept it and move forward anyway! How do you do this? By remembering that you only have ONE LIFE. You are going to die at some point and you don`t know when that is, so GO FOR IT! Yes, you will stumble. Yes, you will fall flat on your face. Yes, you will look like a clown. SO WHAT?? Failure is just a stepping stone to your success and a way for you to course correct. Feel that fear and DO IT ANYWAY! Develop the habit of moving forward NO MATTER WHAT and you will become the confident and charming person who won`t let any setbacks or obstacles stop them from getting what they want. 2. Accentuate the POSITIVE. Eliminate the NEGATIVE Shy people tend to focus on the negative. `He`s looking at me funny. I must look weird to him!` `She`s frowning. I must have pissed her off!` `What if I look like a complete dick and I don`t know what to say?` As hard as this may be, and I know myself because I am an introvert, zero in on the positives of every situation and carry yourself with a positive attitude. Always keep eye contact with the people you are interacting with and smile often. Keep calm when you are faced with a confronting situation, breathe and express yourself fully. Stand tall and upright with your shoulders back and chest out. Pay attention to the way you are dressed as well. If you dress well and people notice, it gives you an immediate confidence boost. If someone gives you a hard time or is mean to you, just remember that you don`t know what is really behind all that. They could have had a bad day or have had a rough life. They could have been through a bad breakup recently. They might have lost their job. You just don`t know and you shouldn`t concern yourself with it either. Keep calm and don`t get angry. Simply thank the person for their time and walk away. You don`t need that negativity or stress. 3. Practice, practice, practice Confidence is a skill. Like any skill, you only get better at it by putting it into practice regularly. One of the best ways to do this is to do something that scares you every day. Challenge yourself by getting into uncomfortable situations on a regular basis. Don`t panic or run away. Face it head on and do your best. What you will find is that the particular situation you are faced with is not that scary and that you have more than enough ability to handle it with charm and aplomb. For example, challenge yourself to talk to one stranger every day for 5 minutes. Practice your small talk and building rapport. After a month of doing this, you will become more confident and charming and have the bravado necessary to talk to anyone. The confidence that you build will enhance all areas of your life and build better careers, relationships, and professional relations. But, it comes with practice. Sitting around and hoping for it will not get you any closer to being a confident, charming person. Get out there and make yourself uncomfortable! Clickguy44.

Research shows that our delay or postpone in things is often tied to having low self-belief, and can lead to depression. Here are 12 science-backed ways to stop procrastination and get motivated 9 Science-backed Ways to Stop Procrastination: 1. Recognize excuses 2. Set A Limit 3. Imagine Your Future Self 4. Break Your Work into Little Steps 5. Avoid Distractions 6. Definite Plan 7. Be Compassionate 8. Tolerate Discomfort 9. Stop over-complicating Things Keep Reading: 1. Discover Your Response Recognize your excuses. How do you succeed in dissuading yourself? Know and recognize the strategies that can prevent you from making these excuses. 2. Set A Limit Set a time limit for each task or goal you have to accomplish. 3. Imagine Your Future Self Picture how wonderful it will be to have completed the task. It keeps you away from the instant gratification of wanting to differ. 4. Break Your Work into Little Steps Part of the reason why we procrastinate is that subconsciously, we find the work too overwhelming for us. Break it down into little parts, then focus on one part at a time. 5. Avoid Distractions Keep away from things that have the power to distract you from the task, or goal you have in mind. 6. Definite Plan Set a specific time to begin and a chunky goal to achieve. Plan weekly, but tasks are done daily! 7. Be Compassionate Take away any negative actions and utterances that are counterproductive. Forget the failures and past tense. Focus on the task ahead. 8. Learn to Tolerate Some Initial Discomfort Instead of fleeing from uncomfortable feelings, sit with them for a bit. Anything unpleasant you’re feeling initially ain the first of your action, is temporary and dissipates. 9. Hang out with People Who Inspire You to Take Action Identify the people, who trigger you – most likely the go-getters and hard workers – and hang out with them more often. Soon you will inculcate their drive and spirit too. 10. Stop over-complicating Things Are you waiting for a perfect time to do this? Ditch that thought because there’s never a perfect time. If you keep waiting for one, you are never going to accomplish anything. 11. Write Out The Cost Of Procrastination Rationalizing helps you activate your expectations, which counters the emotional power to postpone tasks. 12. START Motivation follows actions. A- Piece at a time throws you back into action and keeps plunging you until you are done. Follow this step, it is helpful. Conclusion: Procrastination is a time killer, don’t get comfortable with it. Rather, choose to beat it each day and be the best of yourself. Which do you think would help you the most? Comment below. |

If you aren't getting the respect you think you deserve, it's your fault. Either you aren't worth it or you spend time around people who don't think you're worth it. In both cases, only you can fix it. |

Every marketer knows how much traffic they’re getting because it’s right there in your analytics. But what happens next isn’t as obvious. That’s why giving advice for driving traffic is easy, but web design tips are hard. Websites are two things: containers and content. The container is two things: structure and style. Let’s start with the first. 1. Leverage a visual hierarchy Visual hierarchy refers to the arrangement, size, color, and contrast of visual elements. Web designers use visual hierarchy to guide visitors' attention to important elements first. The website layout includes the position (high or low on the page), sizes (big or small), visuals (video, images, icons), and contrast (color and white space). Combining aspects multiplies their effect. Everyone will see a large video, high on the page. Few people will see low-contrast text surrounded by images. Put a keyphrase-focused headline at the top of the page. Rather than write a fancy, but vague headline, write something descriptive. Make sure that you explain what the company does high up on the page, above the fold. 2. Mimic landing page design Make it a tall page. More pixels mean more space to answer questions, address objections & add supportive evidence. If the visitor doesn’t find an answer to an important question, they can simply keep moving down the page. 3. Show one thing at a time “I like clean, modern designs.” That’s what most of our clients tell us when we begin web design projects. They often refer to Apple’s website as an example. Visitors don’t like clutter. We like whitespace. In other words, we like low visual complexity. 4. Stick to standard layouts The “standard” website with high prototypicality includes the following: Logo in the top left Horizontal navigation in the header The search bar at the top Social icons at the bottom (AKA footer) Mobile responsive design 5. Don't fall for "false bottoms" Modern marketing websites, especially sales pages, are built with page blocks. These are rows of content, often with an image on one side and text on the other, flowing down the page in a single column. But if the design has a page block with a dark background, the visitor might think they’ve hit the bottom and stop scrolling. It’s a false bottom. 6. Avoid carousels They’ve been popular for years and clients love them. But there is a problem with the homepage slideshow: visitors might only see the first slide. So what to do instead? Stack the slides, so the visitor can see each by scrolling down the page. They will suddenly become much more visible. Use a featured image, using the one most impactful slide as the hero. Give it a good CTA 7. Avoid tabs and accordions Yes, we all love how cool they look BUT they don't convert. If tabs and expandable accordions were effective, you’ll probably see them on Amazon. But you don't. Remember, scrolling is faster and easier than clicking. 8. Use people's pictures Faces are uniquely powerful imagery. The magnetic power of people's pictures is very useful in web design. Not only do faces draw attention, but they also correlate with conversion. Make sure your website doesn’t look like a "souless spaceship”. 9. Use faces as visual cues People pictures give you a special opportunity to guide the visitor's attention. The famous “you look where they look” phenomenon. 10. Use arrows as visual Cues Faces can guide attention, but they aren’t the only way to control the eyes of your visitors. Little hand-drawn arrows may be even more effective. If you want your visitors to look at something, point at it with an arrow. 11. Use color to guide visitors’ attention toward a CTA Colors have emotional connotations (red is urgent, blue is calm) and they’re part of brand standards. But they are also opportunities to pull the visitors eye toward buttons and CTAs. If you want your button to be more visually prominent: > Contrast the button color with the background > Contrast the button color and the button text > Contrast the button color with nearby elements on the page (or leave plenty of white space around it) 12. Be descriptive with your navigation Visitors typically start their visit by scanning across the header. When the navigation labels are generic, you’ve missed a chance to tell the visitors what you do. Example 1 - Products / Services / About / Contact Example 2 - Web Design / Branding / Social Media ---------- About / Contact If you do have a home link, put it on the left. It’s the most common place for it, so visitors expect to find it there. 13. Be careful linking to anything on other websites Whenever relevant, link to things that help the visitor reach their goals. On a blog post, that’s often a citation of a source or link to external references. But on service pages & homepage, you should link away to other sites with caution. For any page optimized to convert visitors into leads, ask yourself: Does it help you reach your conversion goals? 14. Avoid using social media icons in your header Likewise, colorful social media icons in your header aren’t great for your goals. If visitors click on any of those candy-colored buttons, they land on a site filled with distractions. They are unlikely to come back. 15. Write meaningful subheads Vague subheads are everywhere. Make sure that the big things are meaningful and helpful to visitors. If your subheaders say things like “products” or “services,” ask yourself if a more descriptive term would be more helpful. 16. Avoid long line length Long, lengthy paragraphs do not align with digital content best practices. Short is better 17. Use simple words. The easier it is the read, the more successful the website will be. Use the common words that visitors expect. Long sentences and fancy words force the temporal lobe to work harder. That’s not good. 18. List Order and “Serial Position Effect” When ordering any lists within your copy, put the important stuff at the beginning and end. The reader’s’ attention and retention are lowest in the middle of any list. As visitors scan the page, the first and the last items are most likely to stay in short-term memory. 19. Answer the top questions of visitors The main job of the website is to answer those questions. Every unanswered question is a missed opportunity to build trust. Unanswered questions also increase the likelihood that the visitor will leave. 20. Add evidence & social proof The “conformity bias” is the human tendency to do what other people are doing. So giving evidence that others have selected you makes choosing your company to seem like a good choice. The goal is to make any decision other than using your company seem outside the norm. 21. Mention scarcity, trigger “loss aversion” Humans are not efficient cost/benefit calculators. We tend to overvalue losses and undervalue gains. > Emphasize the costs of not using your product or service. > Group costs together, list benefits separately. > Emphasize immediate gains. > Create urgency with limited-time offers. If the product is scarce, say so. 22. More than just a pretty site Everyone loves cool new design features. But as visitors, we need more than beauty. We need information. And as website owners, we need results. As web designers, our goal is to help your visitor find what they came for, and then give them what you want them to have. If you need a website but use a funnel? You're leaving money on the table. But, If you need a funnel but use a website? You're leaving ALL the money on the table. So which one do you *actually* need? Let’s talk about it: Websites are broader. Websites: >catch people from different places >have multiple links that transfer away from the original site Funnels: >very specific >all links transfer the customer from one page to the next >conversion rate driven Look at it this way: A website is a really big net. If a fish is swimming and we want to catch it, we use a really big net to catch as many fish as possible. BUT, If you want to catch a specific fish? You use specific bait, rod, and hook. With funnels, the goal is to catch just ONE certain fish. It's (usually) so specific you can almost guarantee you're going to get a certain type of person. You're going to hook them and convert them on your offer. A funnel has control over the customer journey. "If I already have a website, what's the point of a funnel?" Customers are at different stages of their journey. Different awareness levels = need for funnels Why? Because funnels 'hold your hand' from Unaware -> Aware. For example, Take a potential customer going through a funnel. 1st Page: Gives away all the secrets - it tells everything. Example: "Here's the top 10 secrets to writing a good tweet. Click this button for more" And they click the button. Then they go to the next page. Here, there's more value + selling. For example: "Want 10 more secrets? Enter your email address for more." Now, you continue the funnel via email. Your customer gets an email sequence leading them to 'Most Aware'. Continuing this example, The next step of the funnel? Customer buys a course. And from there, you can have upsells, downsells, etc. Funnels can get as complex as you want them to. In summary: >A funnel is very focused and driven >There is an exchange between you + the customer >It has an exchange rate >It's scientific >You've mapped it out every step >After every 'transaction', they move onto the next step >It's calculated With a website, you don't control the customer journey. You don't know where the customer will start + where they will end, OR what people are going to pull the trigger on. Traffic can browse for a moment, get bored and click away. How to decide whether you need a funnel vs website If you have 1 offer? Go with a funnel. If you have multiple unrelated offers? Go with a website. Also, If you need to educate your users, you need a website (to post content, interview people, etc) If you want conversions (email sign-ups, purchase, etc), you need a funnel. Every business needs a website, and every website should lead into a funnel. If you want a website or funnel built? DM Me!
