So far, the extent of destruction in Iran will take many years to rebuild. This is why a ceasefire must be agreed upon immediately to stop the war. Iran cannot afford further damage to its critical infrastructure and fragile economy. While there is visible destruction in Israel, with the help of its allies, the rebuilding of the few damaged structures would take only days—not months. Therefore, it is in Iran's best interest to make practical efforts to de-escalate. Regarding the terms of a ceasefire agreement with the United States and Israel, it would be reasonable for Iran to insist on the right to enrich uranium for civilian nuclear energy purposes. However, if such a position jeopardizes the chance of a ceasefire and prolongs the conflict, causing further damage to Iran’s critical infrastructure; I think, temporarily giving up the right to uranium enrichment for the sake of an immediate ceasefire would be worthwhile and beneficial for long-term rebuilding. If Iran were to give up all its nuclear facilities as demanded by the United States and Israel, I believe it could still retain the possibility of indirectly acquiring tactical nuclear capabilities within its territory. It is now extremely important for Iran to deepen military ties, particularly with Russia and China. Iran's degraded and outdated air defense systems must be immediately upgraded to withstand Future aerial incursions. Russia and China will be critical in meeting Iran’s latest military needs. After the war, Iran should work toward signing a comprehensive mutual defense treaty with Russia and China. This treaty could include the transfer of a few tactical nuclear weapons to Iran under the full control of Russian or Chinese forces, with a clause allowing their use only in the event of an existential threat (an attack that jeopardizes Iran's sovereignty). While such a move would undoubtedly escalate tensions in the region, it is important to note that the United States already has tactical nuclear weapons stationed in more than five countries in Europe. To achieve a world free from U.S. dominance and imperialistic tendencies, Iran has a critical role to play. To secure the future of Iran and preserve this regime, a ceasefire (at any cost) is now the only viable option. |

A man who rose to power through the rascally judgement of a fallible court is a man already destined for failure. Hope Uzodinma is only there to bring hopelessness, utter dejection and extreme hardship to the good people of Imo. A man that supports evil is not a man to bring development to a State or a Nation! |

In-fighting has always been the trademark of the darkly evil "broom" party. From Rivers to Zamfara to Ondo to Lagos to Imo to Edo to Kogi etc. The story is the same in virtually all the 36 States of the federation! You can't sow wind and not reap whirlwind! |
hadduni:Nice! |
hadduni:A pungent past will always hunt a piquant present! Beside, you seem blatantly civil and carefully engaging ![]() |
chinwezdasilva:Young man, be civil! |

Yea, we're all sinners.........but, there should be some iota of decency especially in the public space. You can't be "bending" in a public space and not expect blunt criticism! Nonetheless, I wish them many years of marital bliss! |
Take Kemi serious as a journalist at your own peril! She is another name for fake news, her lies are straight from the pit of hell! I always have migraine differentiating her from the chief liar himself, Mr Lai! |
He has done well! Covid-19 is real!!!!! Let's try as much as possible to complement government's effort by obeying simple instructions from NCDC. If you can't practice social distancing, write your "will" and prepare to be friends with the undertakers! Beneath or Above is now a choice! |
hadduni:Partly true, but, as an advocate of public decency, I would not have said otherwise! |
A relationship that started from the toilet can't be real! All these are just facades that will fade and blow away like a chaff. You can't be h*rny in public and expect to be homely in private! |
Lostz:His loyalty to his boss was by extension to our dear country! The media wasn't fair to him! All, I repeat, all the allegations of corruption and mismanagement against him were utterly false and maliciously fallacious! ABBA KYARI WAS A GOOD MAN!!!!!!! Rest in Peace Mallam! |
Mallam Abba Kyari was a good man! He was misconstrued, misquoted, misjudged and crucified for no fault of his! Only Posterity will remember him for good! He was an unsung HERO and an Epitome of unalloyed Loyalty! Rest in peace Mallam! You did your best possible for your fatherland! We will NEVER forget! |

Herdsmen:First of all, you ain't more Igbo than me! Secondly, there was no place in the write up that I claimed to be speaking on behalf of Ndigbo. I boldly specified that it was "my opinion". I guess you didn't read to that level! |
desiredhome:Woe to that man that rejoices in another man's death! I've been saddened since I learnt of the demise of Mallam Abba Kyari. He was a good man! My opinion here was for the sake of fairness and unity of our dear country! |
seunmsg:Anybody that rejoices in another man's death is not fit to live! Like I stated earlier, I understand the level of trust that office requires. The president has been working with many Igbo allies since his days in ANPP, he can easily choose any of them for that position. Just for the sake of fairness and federal character! |
overall90:If you've taken a little time to read everything, you would have seen where I wrote boldly "my opinion" |
overall90:This is hilarious and at the same time ridiculous! Did I hear you say, I ain't Igbo ![]() |
Seetto:I've always spoken against bitter politics. But drawing conclusion and generalising from assertions of few persons is to say the least, highly unfair! |
Seetto:Buhari has many Igbo allies. He has been working with them since his time as the presidential aspirant under ANPP. He can appoint any of them as CoS for the sake of fairness! |
DeViNe007:No sane man rejoices over another man's death! Death is a price we all must pay! This is only a suggestion to further unite the country |
nkwuocha1:You can make your point without the use of scurrilous remarks! |
SocialJustice:Mamman Daura is not holding any constitutionally recognised position! Everything rests under the feet of the president! |
HundHunter:Yea, I totally agree with you! |
nkwuocha1:This is not pettiness...... It's about equity and fairness! |
SocialJustice:I'm really hopeful he will correct the mistakes he made in the past! |
