brightleave:I'm not saying she should rule against APC. But for the sake of fairness she has to immediately recuse herself from the tribunal, there's already conflict of interest on her part. I strongly believed APC won the presidential election. But It's part of the beauty of democracy for the opposition to challenge the result. |

tomtos88:This is very commendable! I campaigned vigorously for Sowore in the last presidential election because I believed strongly he was capable of bringing the real change Nigeria so desired. But the AAC internal crisis if not immediately nip in the bud will malign Sowore's national acceptance. I personally want AAC to be a MAJOR opposition party in the country, a party that will be synonymous to Internal democracy, rule of law, justice, equity and fairness. It's only when this is achieved I will start taking the party serious again. Because, if Sowore as the leader of the party can't unite the members, there's no guarantee he will be able to unite the country when maybe he becomes the President. 1 Like |

Wow, thank God for his life. Most of our roads are now death traps courtsey of the ineptitude of the past and present administrations. A lot of accidents would have been avoided if our roads were in good condition. I still believe we will get it right someday. God bless Nigeria!! |

It will be better for Justice Bulkachuwa to recuse herself from the presidential tribunal for the sake of democracy and equity. Justice must be seen to be served for the sake of peace and unity. The judiciary seriously need holistic reform and total overhauling of their many cash and carry Judges. A lot of Nigerians have lost hope in that arm of government because of many bitter judicial experiences. 45 Likes 6 Shares |

It's shocking that a party formed less than a year ago is already bedevilled with various allegations of corruption and financial misappropriation. Does that mean there's no more men of integrity in our country? If a youthful party like the AAC is still acting like other corrupt parties controlled by rugged aged politicians, then it's safe to say the youths are not ready. It's now clearer to all that even the youths we're clamouring to take over are more corrupt than the old politicians we're insisting to give up power. Nonetheless, I'm still hopeful we have thousands of youths who have not defiled themselves with the corruption and criminality in our land. DEAR FRIENDS, STAND AND BE COUNTED! As we join hands together to rescue Nigeria from the abyss of obscurity and injustice. 10 Likes |

Akanoomobowale:Yes they're chief security officers but it will interest you to know that even Police commissioners in their States do not answer to them. I can only start blaming the State Governors for insecurity in their States the moment the National Assembly approves State Police. Having said that, I still strongly believe the State governors are not doing enough with their multi-million naira monthly security votes, but if the Federal government can approve State Police, those monies will be channeled into building robust Police structures with State governors as Chief Police commanders. |
Politics / Re: ISIS Claims Responsibility For Killing Of 11 Soldiers In Borno by CliffDike(m): 10:21am On May 13, 2019 |
Akanoomobowale:In terms of security, it is the sole responsibility of the federal government to protect the citizens. No State governor is the commander of any of the Nigeria armed forces. So the blame is aptly on the federal government. This is not to justify the outright incompetence and mismanagement from these State governors. But if the federal government is doing well, it will in many ways reflect in the various States. |

buharitill2023: Comparing the present condition of the Country with the past is a great disservice to the country. Currently, the level of insecurity in every facet of the country is mind-boggling. My main gross with Buhari is his lackadaisical attitude to issues of utmost national importance. He is physically and mentally incapable of leading a multifaceted country like ours. If he were to be a man of integrity, he would have resigned. 1 Like |

The truth is that the current crop of leaders in the country CAN'T guarantee any meaning development. You can't give what you don't have! As far as he(Buhari) remains in that office, inauguration or no inauguration NOTHING, I mean, absolutely nothing will change. He is clueless and senile! No economy policy blueprint, no agenda, Nothing! Another Buhari's four years will spell total doom for the country. A man who supports evil is not a man that will guarantee Nigeria's development. The youths must unite and fight for their future. 45 Likes 1 Share |

How many more deaths before the government takes action? Many families of these gallant soldiers are in pain and agony, yet the government has refused to do the needful. Is it now a crime to serve ones father land? Where is the over One billion dollars withdrew from external reserve for military weapons? Buhari and his party the APC, will either now or later pay dearly for all the avoidable killings in the country. They've caused untold hardship and unimaginable pains to many families, they, surely, won't go scot-free from this mis-governance. May the souls of the departed rest in Peace! I weep for my country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 33 Likes |

tactius:It's on record that more than 70% of prison inmates in the country are awaiting trial. Some have been there for more than ten years for offences they didn't commit. I think the first step is to totally reform our judicial system to speed up the duration of trials. I totally support rehabilitation of our current prisons and all inmates with lesser criminal sentences. If the duration of awaiting trial is reduced it will drastically help to decongest the prisons. The most effective method to dissuade criminals is to create opportunities to make them busy not by building more prisons. "A busy criminal will commit less crime " 3 Likes |

This is the irony of life. I know many people who treat their mothers like some piece of rotten meat. Claiming they're the cause of their misfortune. Dear friends take good care of your parents, irrespective of how evil they are, for the fact they birthed you, please accord them the respective they deserve. In fact, there are enormous natural blessings attached to parental respect. I pray our parents will live long to eat FULLY the fruits of their labour! 1 Like |

Congratulations to him, though I'm not a fan of divorce. For those who are planning to get married, look deeply inwards before saying I do. Divorce won't only affect you psychologically, it can also malign your stand and position in the society and reduce drastically your productive capacity if not well managed. #SAYNOTODIVORCE 2 Likes |

First build industries and skill acquisition centres before talking about prisons. Countries like the Netherland is closing down its prison facilities because of low crime rate. Most of the citizens are gainfully employed, why will they take to crime?. Like the saying goes idle hand is the devils workshop. No man gainfully employed and busy will think about venturing into criminal activities. Build industries, create job first before thinking of building prisons for hardened criminals like many of you in government. 16 Likes |

At first I questioned the originality and tenability of the Audio conversation; it's now clear there's an element of truth in this scandal. The rebuttal from CBN did little to convince me of their version of the narrative. If an institution like the CBN could be this corrupt and careless, then the country is totally irredeemable. Who could believe that the government led by our so-called Mr Integrity could be enmeshed with various mind-boggling corruption allegations and heartless financial malfeasance?. Till the youths unite and say enough of all these NONSENSE , the politicians and corporate thieves will keep playing football with the future of Nigeria. |

Lexicon123: Selective justice is no justice at all. In fact, injustice is one of the major causes of disunity and lack of co-operation among various decision makers in the country. Like I stated earlier, I'm totally in support of EFCC investigating corrupt figures like Saraki, but making it one-sided will only appear to discerning minds as witch-hunt against the opposition which unfortunately is what we're witnessing. For the fight against corruption, which is a major issue in the country to yield maximum result, it must be thorough, non-selective, non-regional and all-encompassing. I hope we will get it right soon to move our dear country forward. 1 Like |
