OmoBendel24: No previous US visa and visit before this? My first U.S. visa was in 2014 B1/B2. Visited in 2015 and used for childbirth in 2016. Renewed via Dropbox in 2017 and want to visit now before it expires. So since I plan to enter the US a week to visa expiration (that is when my leave is starting), am a bit worried |

I dont know if u have been answered. I flew Lufthansa back with baby to abuja on 27th August. Also came here to ask questions since i got same quote from them over the phone. I even sent my brother to go find out at the airport a week b4 my travel date because i was expecting a cheaper rate but it was same price. I grudgingly paid and was really pissed till i got to the airport. While heading to the queue, they saw i was with baby and they asked me to go to elsewhere with no queue at all. I was with mum n baby and had 6 bags all 51 or 52 pounds, they didnt talk abt the extra weight or excess bags and i even checked in my hand luggage so we wont carry anything. KayLayChi: Congratulations Oluphilip.
Please I'm interested in the answer cos I will be using Lufthansa in November. Did anyone get a cheaper quote at the airport cos this $365 plenty in this recession. |

I called them but nobody picks up. Want to know if anyone has a solution or just processed their passport.
quote author=YoungMetrosG post=48096567]This is most likely because of their funding issue. It's been in the news that they've electricity was cut off there because they're owing. You should call them and see if they have plans to rectify all their issues before your appointment date or work on getting a refund. All the best.[/quote] |

Thanks dear chikos: .
Those Lufthansa pple are crazy sometimes. If ur hospital will collect money before they give u the fit to fly, don't bother. Just be at the airport early enough and collect from port health cos they might still insist u get from them. |

Thank God. I just thought about you some days ago. Congrats dearie TheLeakyTribe: It is my turn to share my testimony.
My LO was born yesterday 11th May 2016. Some of you would recall how my Dollars were stolen by my help before my trip. I was well prepared to follow it up and post everywhere about it but after my first doctors appointment here, the stolen money was irrelevant to me.
The doctor did a scan and said she found spots on my LO's heart that were indicative of either a hole in the heart or downs syndrome. I began to pray and believe God even though I was very shaken by the news.
Long story short, she arrived yesterday and is completely fine. She followed me straight from the OR to the postpartum recovery room. Join me praise the Lord. I'm one happy mumma. |

Have seen it. Thanks. biollar1: Found it for ya
Here's her post:
mrsbw: okay guys..wanted to wait to be debited before confirming the Form A stuff.
I intend using Dr La and WHMC. WHMC does not accept wire transfers, so I got Dr La's wire transfer details.
I went to Stanbic IBTC on Thursday for the processing.
Documents required: a) Letter of reference from specialist doctor, or specialist hospital in Nigeria - b) Completed Form A c) Passport, visa and air ticket d) Correspondence with overseas specialist doctor stating the cost of treatment etc.
Filled the form; requested for payment of doctors fees only (paid $3,000) and included my doctor's bank details. The requirement doesn't state just hospitals can be credited. It only states that it must be for medical treatment. So, I guess if you can provide your doctors correspondence (with his letterhead) and they can match it to the bank details. I guess they can also check the doctor online if they want.
Got debited the ffg this morning: Transaction: 598500; telex charge: 4000; offshore charge: $25 = 4987.50; Bank commission 0.5% = 3142.13 Total was 610629.6 which came to about N203.5 per $.
So you can actually pay for just doctor or doctor and hospital if your hospital accepts transfers.
Noticed in the CBN requirement page that if the doctor includes cost of maintenance, that cost of treatment can be made payable to the hospital and the cost of maintenance to the applicant if the applicant is an outpatient; but I did not explore that oh. Only paid doctor's bill.
Also, I had initially gone to UBA and they said they dont process Form A for childbirth. GTB said I'll be on a wait list for at least a month. Went to stanbic after @onlineise post on Wednesday, and it got processed in 48hours. Thanks so much @onlineise you are a life saver!
Pls remember to collect your telex copy from the bank as proof of payment
Hope this helps cc: @biollar1 @chloe7 @kemo88 @beautyx5 |

Cobiss: I meant to say that my visa expires in July and my EDD is June. Will using that visa shorten the duration I will be given (like their normal 6 months) or should I apply for a new visa? Thank you. I now understand. Thanks for the help |
Travel › Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Cobiss: 7:21am On Feb 18, 2016 |
TheLeakyTribe: If I understand your question correctly your visa expires in July but your present passport expires this month? You would like to change your passport name to your married name but that leaves your visa in your maiden name ba?
1) duration of stay is the prerogative of the CBP officer and has nothing to do with your name as stated by Lady Guinivere.
2) for my Dropbox renewal last month I changed my name to my married name (previous passport was in my maiden name. When you fill the visa application change your surname and put the old name as other names you've gone by or something like that, you'll see it on the application form.
If you would rather not renew the visa now, I think you can still change your name and go with your marriage certificate and affidavit of change of name or better yet notify the embassy of your change of name and passport. (I do not know this part for a fact but it should be fine if you had declared your marital status even in your previous application) Thank you. Been worried about it |
