I live ~4 hours away and could care less about NYs local issues. Yet you who lives ~5000 miles away, doesn't even know where the East Village is and couldn't even step foot in NY is animated about it?
I would think you would have better things that would animate you given everything going on in Nigeria right now. |

So much winning Just so everyone understands........when every business importing goods into a country, and the costs of doing that importing rise, so do consumer costs. Companies DO NOT "absorb" these costs, that is not how business works. Any & every cost of any kind, will ALWAYS be moved down to consumers. All tariffs will always be paid by the end purchaser. It does not work any other way, ever.

Basilico you’re not using your free will enough. You too can con your fellow MAGAts by pretending to be a blonde white woman and sell them merch. Lord knows they won’t buy it from you if you come as you are. Even though you might claim they don’t see color. They will see your blackness and want nothing to do with it. A popular MAGA influencer with millions of fans on social media has been unmasked as a 22-year-old Indian man. 😮🫢
Emily Hart’s Instagram account soared after she began sharing patriotic content showing her love for the US, including pictures of her posing in a bikini while fishing, drinking beer, and even holding guns. She also posted primarily Republican ideologies in her photo captions, calling for the deportation of immigrants from the US and mocking "liberals".
But the woman, who claimed to be a registered nurse, was actually created by artificial intelligence (AI).Hart's true identity is actually that of a 22-year-old Indian man who is using the proceeds to help pay for medical school, where he is training to become an orthopedic surgeon.
The man, who was given the fake name "Sam" to hide his identity, recently told Wired that he got the idea to sell AI-generated images of a woman in a bikini while scrounging for money for school. When he turned to Google's Gemini AI for advice, the software told him he should go for the "conservative niche" because the target audience, especially men in the US, "often has higher disposable income and is more loyal".
Sam made an Instagram profile for the fake woman and began sharing images he'd generated using Gemini, accompanying each of them with a caption that promoted conservative views. He said: "Every day I'd write something pro-Christian, pro-Second Amendment, pro-life, anti-abortion, anti-woke, and anti-immigration."
The account had 10,000 followers within just the first month of posting, and every reel Sam uploaded gained millions of views. Speaking about the money he was making, Sam said: "I was spending maybe 30 to 50 minutes of my day, and I was making good money for a medical student.
“In India, even in professional jobs, you can't make this amount of money. I haven't seen an easier way to make money online."The Instagram profile for the AI woman was removed in February for "fraudulent" activity, according to Wired, as the platform requires creators to disclose whether their content is AI-generated. Sam said he would have stopped posting content of Hart anyway, but has maintained that he doesn't believe he was "scamming people" with his fake profile.

Jews got reparations for less. This is the vile, disgusting slavery they keep telling Black people to “just get over it”
At 14 years old, Celia was bought by a white widower named Robert Newsom in Missouri. That sick bastard started raping her on the wagon ride to his farm. For five brutal years he used her as his personal sex slave and concubine not even a field hand, just his property for nightly rape. She was forced to give birth to two of his children while still a teenager.
At 19, pregnant with his third baby, she finally fought back. She warned him to stay the hell out of her cabin. When he forced his way in to rape her again, she beat that rapist to death with a stick.
The Missouri court ruled: Nope. Enslaved Black women had ZERO legal right to self-defense against their owner. She wasn’t a person she was property. They convicted her and hanged her while pregnant in December 1855. They only just gave her a posthumous pardon in December 2024 like that erases anything.
This was the system. State-sanctioned rape, protected by law, with the rope waiting if you resisted. That’s why we will NEVER “get over” it. The evil ran that deep. Act like it. |

It’s like women who shit on feminism but will gladly enjoy the right to exist freely that feminists won for them. Bottom of the barrel folks. Ijebosc: A black man living in the US asking why the SPLC would need informants and would have to pay them(seeing they were risking their lives) when dealing with groups like the KKK when some of the KKK were local law enforcement and local judges themselves (or did you think they wore the hoods just for decoration).

Trump was loud about how he wanted to weaponize the immigration system and she loved that and voted for it. It cost her, her son’s life. But her TDS can’t let her blame DJT for what happened. Even though he clearly emboldened ICE to go after anyone who doesn’t look white. And emboldened them to use lethal force for what amounts to civil disobedience even if the culprit is illegal (which he was not). I do wish everyone gets to personally taste the effects of whatever they voted for and hoped to happen to others. In this case this dead boy probably didn’t vote for Trump. But his mom did and now he’s the one who suffered it. Rachel Reyes’ 23-year-old son, Ruben Ray Martinez, an American citizen, was shot and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent nearly a year ago.
In her first TV interview since his death, Reyes told CBS News' Camilo Montoya-Galvez she does not blame President Trump, whom she voted for in 2024, but says something needs to change within federal immigration enforcement.
“To me it’s not about left or right — it’s about right or wrong,” she said, calling for transparency and accountability as she continues to search for answers about what happened the night her son was killed. https://cbsn.ws/4bbVuYM |

Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f): 7:51am On Apr 23 |
Good. The ones that have 1-3 republican seats still have way too many. They need to make sure republicans have zero seats whenever possible. For years republicans have refused to vote to end gerrymandering. They’ve always relied on the fact that democrats will take the high road. Even as this is happening, democrats are still putting it up to a vote in their states because they value the rights of republicans who live among them. Republican states usually go ahead and redraw their map regardless of how democrats who live there feel about it. Fvkc them. And fvck all their voters. basilico: [i] 🔷️Vermont: 32.32% Republican 1 Democrat, 0 Republicans

Trump‘s labor secretary has just resigned amidst a bunch of scandals. She’s accused by her staff of drinking on the job (seems like a requirement to be a part of Trump’s administration) and misuse of government funds.
She was taking some staff members to the strip clubs, having an affair with a member of her security team, pimping out the young female staff to her father and her husband and instructing these young female staff members to “take care” of her father and her husband.
Republicans are thoroughly rotten to the core. And I found that conservative women who disrespect themselves to cater to these kinds of men always end up with the short end of the stick. Disgusting bunch. |

If you’re not serving or taking care of the dead and injured, it’s easy to stay on the internet and run your LOUD empty mouth. According to MAGA, these are Hamas supporters too? This is what “supporting the troops” looks like. Veterans just got ZIP-TIED inside Congress. More than 60 veterans and military family members gathered inside the Cannon House Office Building to demand an end to the war.
Some had canes. Some were in wheelchairs. Some had prosthetic legs. They held banners that read “End the War on Iran” and “We Can’t Afford Another War.”
They performed a flag-folding ceremony. They held red tulips for the dead. And then police moved in and started zip-tying them.
The same MAGA movement that wraps itself in the American flag just had veterans dragged out of Congress for saying NO to Trump’s war. These are not random protesters. These are people who SERVED. They saw it with their own eyes. They know what war REALLY looks like.
Dead civilians. Broken bodies. Traumatized families. Troops sent home changed forever. Politicians lying until the last possible second.
The people who actually fought showed up to say NO. And for that, these heroes got zip tied…

Would you look at that? This man has opened investigations into James Comey, Jack Smith, Adam Schiff, Letitia James, Joe Biden, John Brennan, Eric Swalwell, Beyoncé, Oprah, Bruce Springsteen, ActBlue, 51 universities, the Federal Reserve, and George Soros. He's mining old White House files for dirt on former staffers. He's weaponizing mortgage fraud allegations against political rivals. His DOJ has publicly named and shamed people they don't even have enough evidence to charge — which legal experts say violates the department's own ethical rulebook.
He is investigating. EVERYTHING. And. EVERYONE. Everyone, that is, except for two things that ACTUALLY matter:
1. His own assassination attempt.
2. The Epstein files.
The man is running the most aggressive investigation machine in modern American history — pointed at everyone who's ever criticized him — while somehow having ZERO curiosity about the two cases where the public deserves real answers most. One of those cases could've ended his life. The other could end his reputation.
The selective outrage tells you everything you need to know. He's not interested in justice. He's interested in power — using the DOJ as a personal weapon against enemies while burying anything that might implicate him or his circle.
This isn't law enforcement. It's a protection racket with a presidential seal on it.
