They’re extremely stupid for this to even need explaining to them. Talking about some “tax payers are not funding it”. And so freaking what?

Old men acting like their brains are out on loan and they’re operating on fumes.

ijebosb:
I'll say this one time for all you Turmp sycophants.

Trump does not own the White House nor any Federal property. He is a temporary guest.
There is no law that allows him to do anything of that magnitude to the white house, whether it's through private or government funding.
The power to manage Federal Land is delegated to Congress by the Constitution.

If the President wants to make extensive changes to the White House, he should go to Congress for permission no matter how it's paid.

It's similar to someone renting your house. They can't just make extensive changes it to it even though they are funding it themselves.
But, most MAGA wouldn't know about that.

He manufacturing chaos so that when he plays his big one after he loses the next election, he’s going to have a way to justify it.

It doesn’t have to make sense to the rest of us. But it just has to have enough plausibility for his supporters-who still like to pretend they’re law abiding- to lap onto and say it was done the right way.

ijebosb:
My view.
I think we are living in a dangerous times and I can see it getting worse.

I think there is a sense in this country(the US) of things being out of control
And I think Trump has fostered that with his violent rhetoric, constant lies and use of ICE to terrorize cities.

There is a sense that:
Laws/rules no longer matter. That those in power just do as they please. And that there is no one to go appeal to for it to stop.
The President is not accountable to anyone, largely because he has usurped Congress and the Supreme Court seems intend for the most part to let him do as he pleases.
That Trump flouts laws/rules he doesn't like (like pardoning the convicted Jan 6ers and the domestic terrorists Proud Boys and Oath Keepers)
That reality is no longer reality (no one can trust what this Administration says and his supporters lie with zeal to gaslight you (Raumdeuter))
And that there is no one to turn to. How does one fight the Federal Government when the DOJ is an arm of Trump and Congress does whatever he says no matter how irrational.

America is a deeply proud country with a history of Revolution and civil liberty.
The 2nd amendment wasn't created for hunting it was created to push back against a tyrannical government that oppresses the states.
People who supported the 2nd amendment shouldn't be surprised. The previous Trump attempted shooters were either Trumpers or had a Trumper family steeped in Guns.
Liberals are generally anti-violence with a belief in the ability to change through diplomacy or finding common ground. So, this one is new.
Trump seems to ne radicalizing even those predisposed to non-violence.

Congress needs to get its act together and be the separate branch that holds the Executive accountable.
But, given this equally insane push for a ball room, I don't see that happening.
I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. The midterms can't come soon enough so people can feel they have a sense of accountability.

Yea you might have written about it but nothing you write here actually means anything. Not trying to be mean but I think you’ve mistaken your ramblings on this page as information worth considering. It’s not. You simply regurgitate right wing nonsense that no one takes seriously.

As for your opinion on why her accusations are a farce, only rape apologists dissect the private lives of victims to find a reason to say they’re lying. Because you’d rather side with the rapist.

He’s a 34-count criminal and rapist who was found liable by a court of law. Your analysis of why it might not be true holds no water .

basilico:
That case I've written a lot about it.
Why it's a complete farce.
She is a celebrity of sorts. Gets raped in a departmental store.Tells noone until Grab em by the pussy tape is leaked. After that incident she has never had sex.

Problem. She couldn't remember the date and year when the incident occured.
What's the probability that she was making it all up? I'd say 100%.
Name how many women can forget the last time they had sex. Especially a time frame of 1 year. Especially if it was non consensual. Uu

My point was there are things you don't say .
Not if it’s the truth. Calling someone what they’re criminally convicted of is not the same as hate speech.

A raypist cannot say you shouldn’t call them that because a black person doesn’t wanna be called the N word. The false equivalence will not fly.
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f): 6:38am On Apr 27
basilico:
A high school teacher ,Matthew Mastronardi read a passage from the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" verbatim. The verse he read out to his class had the N word.
A student recorded and posted the video online.
Matthew was fired.
Crime. He dared mention the N word even though he was reading a passage from the book.
Good! A non-black person saying that word is offensive regardless of context.

The meaning would’ve still been there if he censored himself from saying that word.

He wanted to be smart by half by pretending he was only reading from a book. “Oh I didn’t really say it. I was just reading a book”. Fvck him. And fvck you too!

But Institutional racism doesn’t exist right?
Louisiana Republicans passed Senate Bill 256 (SB 256) in April 2026 to eliminate the office of the New Orleans Clerk of Criminal Court, effectively blocking Calvin Duncan, a Black man elected with 68% of the vote, from taking office. The bill merges the criminal and civil clerk roles, stripping Duncan of the position before his term starts...

Calvin Duncan, an exonerated man who served 28 years in prison before his exoneration in 2021, won the election in November...

Is this a cost-saving restructuring, or is this a direct attempt to overturn a democratic election and retaliate against Duncan...?

UFO Whistleblower Silenced? Air Force Vet Dead Weeks Before Congress Testimony

Matthew James Sullivan, 39 Bronze Star recipient, Air Force Intelligence Officer with top-secret clearance, worked at NSA, National Air & Space Intelligence Center — agreed to testify about the U.S. government’s secret crash retrieval UFO program.

He had personally seen non-human craft in U.S. possession.

Two weeks later found dead at his home in Falls Church, VA.

Official cause: Accidental overdose — lethal mix of alcohol, Xanax (alprazolam), powerful muscle relaxant (cyclobenzaprine), and imipramine (a drug used for kids’ anxiety/bedwetting).

Rep. Eric Burlison calls it “suspicious” with “grave concerns” for national security. He sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel demanding a full probe over potential foul play and safety of other witnesses.

This is part of broader scrutiny involving multiple missing/dead scientists tied to sensitive programs.

Coincidence… or pattern?
David Grusch reportedly helped Sullivan come forward and was distraught by his death.

Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f):
So pro life. BUt before we proceed , shall we ask him how the said chambers are supposed to work?

Just gather a bunch of Americans who don’t like him and gas them on live television under some made up charges? That way, the rest of us all learn our lessons and remember to sing his praises as instructed?
BREAKING 🚨 Trump just made GAS CHAMBERS, FIRING SQUADS, and ELECTROCUTION official methods of federal execution.

But the sickest part is what comes next: He wants to broadcast the killings LIVE on national TV.

This isn't random cruelty. He is literally copying a playbook written by a regime the United States hanged at Nuremberg.

In 1934, Adolf Hitler created a court called "The People's Court." Its job was to "streamline" death penalty cases against political enemies. Appeals were totally gutted. Trials were rushed. Judges screamed defendants down and sent them to the gallows in days.

Trump's new order is calling it "streamlining habeas review" and "expediting death penalty cases."

When a group tried to assassinate Hitler in 1944, the regime didn't just hang them. They filmed it.

Hitler watched the footage in his private screening room. Trump now wants to live stream the gassing of prisoners for the same reason Hitler did. To make people afraid.

It was the Nazis who turned gas into a tool of mass murder. The world spent the next 80 years swearing no government would ever be allowed to use it again. On Friday, Trump's DOJ put gas back on the list.

Trump's DOJ has:
– Ordered a new "Federal execution facility"
– Lifted Biden's moratorium on federal executions
– Authorized seeking the death penalty against 44 people
– Greenlit 9 new federal death sentences already

Faster trials. Fewer appeals. New facilities. More ways to kill. And cameras.

This is the same man who took out a FULL-PAGE AD demanding the death penalty for the Central Park Five and never apologized after they were exonerated by DNA.

The same man who oversaw 13 federal executions in his last six months in office, more than the previous 10 presidents combined. The same man who casually demands the death penalty for drug dealers.

Trump is not trying to fix the system that has wrongly condemned at least 202 Americans to death since 1973. He is trying to make it faster, harsher, and more public.

A government that brings back gas chambers and firing squads, and wants to put the killings on TV, didn't end up here by accident. It chose this. Cruelty is the message.

Trump is telling us in writing exactly what he plans to do.

BELIEVE HIM.

Share this before an American gets gassed live on the nightly news, so nobody can claim they didn't see it coming.

I saw it then it disappeared.

What disturbed me, besides sexualizing a teenager the way he did, was that there wasn't much if any pushback.
I think we should all be able to agree that jokes about the private parts of children are off limits and not funny.

But, I see you quietly globe-trotting.
Enjoy Italy. Beautiful country.
They’re saving their selective outrage to use against people in the LGBTQ community who haven’t harmed anyone. Meanwhile they’re the ones with their lustful eyes set on growing kids . Eyes filled with bad ungodly intentions. They disgust me.

Yes Italy is strikingly beautiful. Thankful I get to see it 🥹

IjeBos:
Exactly.
Nothing in that post makes any sense.
From saying he does not want to raise children in the US, to now saying he is in the US and having a new child with a new baby momma.
To somehow expecting anyone to believe he secured a visa to the UK for a single woman with 4 children and then another visa to the US for him alone in a 3 month period right after the pandemic.
What he makes up today, he contradicts tomorrow.

That post was written to attempt to flex to people not in the know. Which is even more messed up.
The pathetic lies make me cringe 😬 .
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f): 8:44pm On Apr 25
The US is not a good country to raise kids but the UK that’s supposedly overrun but the ayatollah’s according to that same pleb is the good country?

Hasn’t the UK gone to dogs according to them? And by dogs they mean people like them. Brown and black people?

Nothing in that comment is the truth.
Just a sick wannabe trying hard to belong. And the lies don’t even make sense.

Just steupid amateur-level bragging that ultimately reveals deep insecurities

What person says the US is not a good country to raise their kids, but thinks raising kids without their father makes sense, so sends them to the UK?

IjeBos:
I think they know they are lying.
They don't care.
They have some ulterior motivation or mental health issue which makes them come back to this thread and lie every day, maybe for attention.

I think we non conservatives think that if we educate enough or give them the facts they will see the light.
They won't.
Nah, they can get the facts themselves, they choose not to.
For those that it boils down to some emotional issue, until they sort out those issues nothing anyone says will change them.
There are 33% of Americans who think Trump is doing a good job. That should say enough about where we are as a country.

I also think this thread normalizes the crazy.
Raumdeuter can come here and say fact free, in contradiction to even the BS indictment, that the SPLC paid for the Unite the Right Rally and is responsible for the deaths that occured, and people treat that as if it is a normal opposing argument.
It's fruity loops.
And any black person who lives in the US and chooses to normalize the KKK or argue what Raumdeuter does is either mentally unbalanced or an evil person.
It should be easy to call a spade a spade.

Hillary Clinton was 100% right. MAGA is full of deplorable people.

When you challenge them to use their brains and think, they immediately “protect” themselves from critical thinking by deflecting that you’re emotional. Therefore they don’t have to consider what you’re saying.

The thief is crying about having to pay back the money he stole
You know what would have been a much better idea? If this slowpoke didn’t do something blatantly unconstitutional, which damaged our relationships with allies and drove them into the open and waiting arms of China.

Sales of Kentucky bourbon here have been decimated, several companies have even gone into bankruptcy. Canada won’t buy our liquor at all, and European sales have plummeted.

This president can’t be stupid enough to think that the court would allow the government to keep the money that it stole from the American people.

This was a massive transfer of wealth from poorest Americans to the largest companies, like Amazon. And they get to double dip- they passed upwards of 80% of the tariff onto consumers- and now they get a refund from the federal government.

At some point adults are going to have to take control of the United States government. This short-sighted, overly emotional, grifting way that the government is being operated will drive us into bankruptcy sooner than later.
