Nurses care beyond the bedside. Earlier today, nurses at Mount Sinai Hospital came together on the strike line to honor Alex Pretti, RN and victims killed by ICE and stand in solidarity with immigrants and families.

Not just to defend her reputation, but to show Americans what really happened that day.

Every time a DHS agent shoots someone, it’s the same script.

Blame the victim, claim agents were attacked, and their life was in danger.

ICE/Border patrol agents should not be allowed to shoot people, and then blatantly lie to the public.

Releasing this evidence is the first real step toward transparency and actual accountability.

Whichever side of the discourse you are on in this debate, we must share the horror of the revelation of voluntarily self-deception due to ideological devotion on such a scale as this. How far apart have our moral centres diverged that the we can witness a man being killed with such ethical polarity?

What does this do to a nation already teetering on the edge of collapse into unrestrained political violence when murder is so easily forgiven, or deemed necessary? When one person's activist is another person's "domestic terrorist"?

This moment made it clear that society is no longer simply divided by different political perspectives, but by different realities. I don't know how we unpick that.

But if you are a Trump supporter and disagree with the official narrative, then don't just condemn the Federal Officers for their crime, condemn the Trump administration for having the audacity to lie to our faces about it.

They didn't wait for an independent investigation, they didn't even wait until they saw all the footage. They came out straight away and called this man an "assassin" and accused him of planning a massacre. Without a second thought, they defamed their own victim, and millions of the MAGA faithful ate it up without even chewing.

It's not just the barbarity of the act of, it's their callousness that should unsettle you. Their unapologetic indifference to the truth and the arrogance to know that it will not hurt them. Surely the malevolence of this act is just as clear to you now?
