People then started propounding theories, including the famous ‘Access Bank’ theory, about how alerts mean you have already been compensated and removed from the employment list.

Since there is no new theory yet, the onus is on me to spice up this thread a bit. This is just to refresh us about events of the past weeks on transport fare alert matter . For new guests, this was the summary of what transpired.


What people thought the alert would be to them — refreshment.

Well, "this whole week" can also be construed as "So far, since yesterday and today." That is to say, technically, his statement wasn't erroneous. Paying closer attention to the context of that writer's expression puts a question mark on your sarcastic, cynical comments. For instance, one can affirm, without risk of running into invalidity, that he/she hasn't eaten the whole or all day (today) at 4:00PM due to a laborious work schedule, in spite of the fact Monday is yet to elapse. Obviously, the reader's or listener's focus is basically drawn to the length of time, which in this case is the sentence's object referring to the subject.

Meanwhile, when I surf the internet, I notice with dismay how some netizens try so hard to make others seem unintelligent, even when unbeknownst to them they end up making either same or related mistakes. If you spot a grammatical error online and develop a linguistic need or scruple to correct, kindly do so without subtly querying the author's intelligence or descending to denigration. That minimizes the chances of the author taking it personal and constrains him/her to learn. Your point is safely driven home and the passenger takes note. You see, the final consequence is a win-win situation.

Since this has now turned to an English Language thread, let me add this.
The bolded statement is a compound sentence(a sentence that has two independent clauses), and thus, there should be a comma after the first independent clause. So, after ‘home’, there should be a comma.

100% of the people I related with on my interview date wrote their exams in Abuja.
I suppose you should know by this I am first July.

As much as these theories sounds pleasant to those they favour, it's over becoming to keep reiterating a false narrative without evidence.

It doesn’t mean shit. If you interacted with just one Abuja person, that is 100 percent. Please tell us the number of people you interacted with. I am sure you didn’t go round the crowd interacting with everyone.

I was told by panel chairman that he knows my company very well and as such he won't ask me anything in my field cos he is sure I have so much strength there lol. And he started firing me hahaha. He opened xb again and saw certifications and laughed and said bros tell me what is not on ur cv about yourself. Well leave the story

I met 2 guys I know from PH. One was a former colleague and now the head of ICT south region in his company while the other was a school mate in high school and course mate in the Uni but a set higher. We all were interviewed same time and by same panel and obviously we are all ICT.
Three of us, none has gotten alert.

Also, there is a lady in phc too she was interviewed 10th 9am and she got the alert and she was the person who told me first and asked if I have gotten.

So for those who are skilled in deductive reason add this to ur chart and give us way forward

Extrapolating from the Access bank theory, I want to say this. The best of each field, from CBT, was interviewed first of all before the people who scored lower. I believe the best of most of different specialties were invited July 1st and 2nd. However, for some fields like ICT, which probably started interviewing its candidates from the 9th, I still believe the best from CBT were called for the interview that day(July 9th). The lady you talked about didn’t perform as good as you in the CBT, accounting for why she was called on the 10th for her interview. This also explains why she got alert, and you didn’t get alert. She has been screened off. From the people who haven’t got alert, this is where the quota system will apply. People saying interviews were based on locations only, you are not entirely true. The fact that 4 of you called to an interview panel from the amphitheater were from a region doesn’t mean that everyone interviewed by the panel for that day was from the same region. After your set, the next 4 was probably from a different region. In my set, the four of us were all from Kaduna(July 2), but that that day, I still saw people who most likely came from Benin. Also some Lagos people were also interviewed 2nd July.

Well, no matter how we want to interpret it, the Access Bank Theory reigns supreme. Receiving alerts are definitely not good and is a bad marker. Well, this is just a theory. Time will eventually tell.

According to the theory, you have been used as a filler to replace a slot that would have been occupied from candidates of the first two days. You should be happy. Congrats, you are one step closer,

Lets assume 40% have gotten alerts and 60% got none.
And based on the gist of the SMS sent to NNPC staffs.
And considering the Interviewers are there to Recommend (R) or Not Recommend (NR) potential employees
It is safe to assume based on common sense that the people NR are like 40% of the entire interviewed persons. They have already been compensated with Tfare first ("EXEMPTED" theory from flowolff)
And with the collation of result starting based on d "sms guy source", it is fair to say they are now dealing with only the recommended folks to sort out the ones they want. After this weeding, another batch of alerts will be sent out to the unsuccessful ones. And finally to successful ones.
Thereby legitimizing the various sources that everybody will eventually receive alerts.
Note: the cocococyam guy's theory does not hold because dates of invites were sent out based on your exam region. North cental being first on Monday 1st.

Are you saying nobody from the South came on Monday? See this one. All zones came that Monday and Tuesday! You just don’t know.

So the most plausible theory is what I will call the COCO’s theory. Like I said earlier on, it is still a spinoff of the Access Bank theory. One thing we must know, or have experienced, is that the NNPC recruitment staff is a very organised team. Some people receiving alerts, and others not receiving, is not a random occurrence. The Coco’s theory can be explained in the following way.

1. From the simple survey above, it is clear that only applicants of a particular date(s) have not received alerts. The NNPC recruitment team is not that disorganised to pay July 3rd or July 6th applicants, leaving out July 2nd applicants who did their interviews first. (Someone else please conduct the survey for July 1st applicants to see if they have, or have not, gotten alerts).
2. The CBT performance was used for the order in which the interviews were conducted. It is logical to say that the best performers from all geopolitical zones were invited for oral interviews first, before others. As such, those who performed best in the CBT were invited in the first two days—July 1st and July 2nd.
3. Priority slots were given to those interviewed on the 1st and 2nd of July. Those who did interviews later than these dates are simply ‘fillers’. In other words, if there was still some slots left after the first two days of interviews, that is, if some applicants in the first two days were screened out due to some reasons like very poor interview performances or certificate discrepancies, people from subsequent days were used to fill in the spaces.
4. On the issue of alerts, everyone will get alerts definitely. But one thing we have learned from the recruitment process is that NNPC team is highly organized—the team even went as far as calling some people on phone to confirm their account details before sending their transport fare. There is a reason the team is withholding the money for July 2nd, and possibly July 1st applicants. The reason is that it is from these people that most appointment letters will be given to. So, these people will still probably travel to Abuja for medicals and other exercises. So their money will come to them in due time, in the later stages of the recruitment.
5. This is not part of the theory per se, but to console those who have gotten alerts. It is not the end of the world. You can still make it in life. You better start accepting the reality of things right now so that when the appointment letters start coming out, your hopes would not be up, and the reality would have already sunk in before then.

For us, the applicants who haven’t gotten alert yet, let us bounce in style.

As much as the Access bank theory favours me, I have to be realistic and objective. My post above seems to suggest that alerts are according to dates because no one has clicked ‘like’ yet. If you were interviewed on 2nd July, please vote on the post above.

While waiting at the Amphitheatre on the 6th of July for my interview, I sat next to this fair gorgeous Lady. At first, I was reluctant to talk to her as she appeared more interested in pressing her phone than talking. My breakthrough came when she inquired from me the direction to the rest room as I had earlier gone to ease myself.

May God grant you your heart desires in getting your woman while God attends to us that need APL more than you.

Me, taking preemptive measure by writing to NNPC that I don’t need any tfare; in my family, we don’t use to accept any money that we did not work for. Thank you.

I will explain, but let it be on record that this is the first time an average Nigerian, or what we now refer to as ‘local man’, is unhappy after receiving money. The hypothesis goes thus.
Someone once stated that in a recruitment conducted by Access Bank some time ago, those who were not successful after the interview were given transport fare, most likely as compensation, while those who were successful weren’t given transport fare, but were employed instead. So, this information has resulted in a controversy in the present NNPC recruitment exercise where those who have received transport alerts have refused to be happy while those who haven’t gotten alert, like me, are becoming more ecstatic as everyday goes by without an alert. The picture below clearly demonstrates the reaction of those who haven’t received alert in the morning of a new day.

My guy from PH who did interview on the 6th(EH) just got his alert of 20k. UBA bank.

Everybody can rest on the theories and assumptions now as it was confirmed that majority of the people who have received alert did their interview on the 6th of July. Therefore it has no correlation with the result of the interview as collation is still ongoing.

A friend, an EH applicant, from Kaduna, who did July 3rd got 6k. Another EH guy from PH who did on the 6th hasn’t got.

My own be say another day don pass and I nor get alert.
