I love this thread. We learn lessons everyday. As a philosopher, I can’t ignore some pertinent things I have noticed. I remember when there was unity, and everyone prayed and clamoured for APL in unison. Even when some of us opposed those who came here with APL predictions (sauces), everyone united in attacking the people in return. Such unity is actually a good thing. However, APL has now come, but guess what? Everyone answered his father’s name, and fewer persons than the rest got the APL and came to express their joy and happiness. And it seems these ones will move on with their new lives without even looking back at the rest who didn’t get APL. One thing I noticed from most celebrations here was the absence of consolation to those who didn’t get APL. People just came here to thank ‘God’ in heaven, and some announced they knew nobody and attributed their success to God; one shared a picture of his roasted fish and Pepsi in celebration mood. Another, in happiness, even said he would give his first salary to God (I laugh because he is actually giving his hard-earned money to his pastor). But I must say this: majority of testimonies all reeked of ‘all man for himself’, without empathy to those who didn't succeed. I’m not exonerating those who did not get APL; if you guys (non-APL people) had gotten, you would have done the same thing too. So what am I saying? This clearly shows us that in this life, the average man is self-centred and cares for no one but himself first and foremost. If the average man unites or acts in unity with others, the driving force for this is his personal gain—not others’ gain, but his. My heartfelt condolences to the GT applicants who did not make it, and of course, congrats to those who made it. I am EH, and I wish all EH, who will get and who will not get APLs, the best in their endeavours. |
Adizzy1234:This is sheer wickedness. You are very wicked! You just want to torture people. Even if you heard such info, why not just keep it to yourself? You now want to bring other people into your hopefulness and misery. If Monday comes and nothing happens, I’m sure you will then say it will be till weekend. Guys please do not listen to him. It’s such a shame that such comment has already garnered many likes to show how desperate people are. Too sad! |
Etr3y:Lol. They sent all emails at once for the interview invitation and the number was about 9000 I believe. So they can send 1050 emails at once. Take heart bro. Give it up. Don’t torture yourself. |
meelee123:Na wah o. U guys have been looking for closure since and now they have closed it, but you still want it open till Monday. Take heart. You nor die, na only APL u nor get. You will still succeed in this life. |
Adiadi1:Kai! Nigerian pastors don chop from this one o! My brother, it is not your promise or vow that made you get APL. That salary is not being given to God but to your pastor or, let’s say, your church.. God does not need your money. Stop calling God’s name in vain.. Receive sense in Jesus name! |
Jarus:No way. You gave us a wrong timeline. Congrats to the successful GTs. My condolences to those who didn’t make it. EH, which way na? |
Are people still anticipating APL this week again? I'm happy we are gradually getting sense in this forum. |
joobseekar:Me preparing thunder for the person that will quote this whole long post. As for you that made such long unnecessary post, I have nothing to say to you. This frustration of waiting for APL is really making people do crazy things on Nairaland o. |
daima:Mod please ban this guy. What kind of post is this? |
scobyy2007:The goal post shifters! APL cometh like a thief in the night; no man knoweth! This is the reason why I will always be against anyone coming here with a prediction. Make we just rest for all this guess work till the APL surprises us! The more we predict, the more we drive the APL away. |
Patientnnpctaff:Somebody will just be using ‘have’ anyhow. Have you not heard of the word ‘has’ before? |
c12112:See GT people liking the post. Mr man, come February ending, I will come for your head if the information proves to be false! Another ‘sauce’ don come again. Una nor dey tire sef? |
NoHatred:Anything you hear is absolutely dubious. The only tangible proof that EH recruitment has been suspended is when GT get APLs and EH don’t get. Till then, there should be no cause for alarm. For all those saying contract staff can replace EH, there are some professions that there is no way NNPC could have had contract staffs in such fields all these years. You don’t expect a doctor, pharmacist, lawyer, etc to be with NNPC as contract staffs for several years when obviously they know it isn’t a permanent job. NNPC must certainly need new EH staffs; there must be vacancies somewhere that contract staffs cannot fill. |
To me o, people just want the likes and vain glory. That’s the reason, I believe, they come here to share APL-release news. Because I see no other reason why one should assert that that APL will come out on a particular time frame. You heard from a source about the APL release, but why not just keep it to yourself and let the APL really come out? But no! ‘I must announce to nairalanders that APL is coming on so so date. I must tell the world to show I am very well-connected and influential.’ That is vain glory to me. If you received praise and glory when you announced the APL news, be also ready to receive the bashing and chastisement when it backfires. You can’t eat your cake and have it. It is as simple as that. Like I have said before, and I will reiterate, let us allow APL come in peace, if it ever will, and stop driving it away with our predictions. Meanwhile, Jarus right now. ![]()

It is 5.22 p.m. Friday, 7th February 2020 and yet no APL. With the power bestowed on me, I hereby decree that Jarus is no longer an authentic source as regards NNPC recruitment. Let us now focus on our daily lives and let APL come in its due time. Thank you. ![]()

moogoogaipan: moogoogaipan:All these GT people, make una shut up una mouth make this APL come out first. Have you even seen APL at all? You are now consoling EH when nothing even dey your hand. There is no concrete information until APL comes, whenever it will. Only until then can we know whether anyone will be left out. |
hillaboi:This guy is scared to apologise with his own comment. He is now apologising inside another person’s comment. My man does not want people to quote him. Your smartness here clearly shows you were the originator of the prank. |
Me looking at all of you right now—people expecting APL this week. Your expectations have made it easy for this guy to toy with you with fake APL. ![]()
|
Rafiq2:Before nko? When we dey tell una say make una comot mind for APL predictions, una nor dey hear. |
Lagoscorper: It is now getting clearer that no APL this week. I’m not saying Jarus was toying with us o by passing unverified information, but mehn, the present story from Jarus is just an excuse why people will say his timeline failed. They will say this: ‘People at NNPC Towers most likely got angry that the APL release information leaked, and now, NNPC suspended the APL release.’ I laugh. But come to think of it: why will NNPC get angry that an unofficial website (from Jarus) predicted a release date? That should be like a trivial issue that the NNPC HR team should easily brush aside and still continue their daily business. So, the stories of anger in Towers and supposed dust being raised in, due to Jarus’s site, look fabricated to me o, and no one should use this as an excuse why the predicted timeline did not work because this excuse is just a farce. Please, for the sake of sanity in this thread, no one should predict any timeline of APL here. I have noticed that people just want to be celebrated or gain some kind of popularity, I should think, by trying to be ‘authentic’ sources as though they are NNPC themselves. I wouldn’t blame them though because we are actually the ones that fan their egos and propel them to act in such capacities. But we don’t need all this; I can bet many people could not focus on their jobs this past week because of the unnecessary excitedness—or should I say nervousness. I’m not an enemy of progress. I equally want APL to be released, but what I have learnt from this thread so far is that anytime anyone predicts a time frame for APL, it ends in disaster, shattered expectations and more frustration for us, and I believe this present prediction will follow same outcome. APL will come when no one expects; it is the people who will get it first that will come here to share their story, and then others will get subsequently via whatever source, be it SMS or email... Make we all just chill, and let APL surprise us. It is just unfortunate that this generation doesn’t like surprises. We impatiently want to know tomorrow. Those days, our pregnant mothers would wait till after giving birth before they know the sex of their babies; nowadays, after 3 months of pregnancy, you would see pregnant people itching and disturbing their doctors for the sex of their babies. I rest my case. May the best candidates get the APL, and may those who don’t get still blossom in their lives. |
youngforever22:Another sauce. ![]() |
Jarus:Is it just me, or does it seem like someone is shifting the goalpost? When I dey tell una something, una nor go wan hear word. ![]() ’anything can change’ = ’barring last minute change’. A ‘sauce’ is always a ‘sauce’ abeg, no matter from whom it comes from. . The only true source is when the APL alert itself drops; so wait for it when the time comes. Case closed.
|
MirthOsas:The ‘Uncle Jarus’s account was hacked theory’ loading. The Jarus fan club will do anything to keep their oga sacrosanct. I can’t wait for February 8th. The thing about Nigerians is that una nor dey hear word. Remove your mind from any speculated date(s), but for where: they are back to what they were advised against. Take any APL prediction serious at your own peril. ![]() |
Mitocyan: Already making excuses for him? That one na una own, but come February 8, me waiting for Jarus where he plays football every Saturday morning. ![]()
|
GeniusOla:I just dey laugh. After next week Friday, una go still shift the goalpost . No man knoweth when APL commeth. |
Mitocyan:E go shock you say no APL this week or even next week; my instincts tell me so. |
NoHatred:E go shock u say both EH and GT APLs go come out together whenever they will. Never depend on online sources, no matter who the ‘source’ is. Make the APLs come out first. |
APL whether GT or EH, if it will come, will come like a thief in the night. People expecting it this week or next week, don’t get your hopes dashed o. I have warned. |
inrainbows:Dude, January does not need to pass before you know no one knows anything. Even the GMD himself is equally confused. That’s how much of a shamble our society is. |
Powersurge:My people, like I said, let’s just forget about this NNPC stuff. I feel sad to say this, but the fact is that everyday, it is becoming clearer the exercise is a scam. It may have started as a genuine recruitment, but that is now long over. The recruitment is a scam. No APL this month and, and my instincts tell me, for several months to come. Our major priority right now should should be how to repair Nigeria for our children, beginning from infiltrating political parties to showing more interests in politics so that the bad eggs don’t end up ruling over us, the intellectuals. Once the government of any country is good, every other aspect will be better. Those clamouring for twitter callout of NNPC, it may be cool for us the lucky candidates who have progressed thus far, but I see such motivation as a bit selfish because the recruitment only concerns us. If some of us did not get to the interview stage, I don’t think such people would be fighting the course on twitter for the people who got to the interview stage. So, let’s think more than NNPC. Let’s think of Nigeria as a whole. There is a deep-rooted fundamental problem in this country. Channel any energy you have into repairing Nigeria, first and foremost via politics. This enthusiasm to change Nigeria should be for our children like I said. For our present generation, there is no hope. |
I'm happy we are gradually getting sense in this forum.
Like I have said before, and I will reiterate, let us allow APL come in peace, if it ever will, and stop driving it away with our predictions.
