GMD clearly stated that EH recruitment will be done to fill skillsets not available in the NNPC workforce. NNPC is redefining their needs through a skill set gap analysis.

A crucial point made by MKK was that many of the interviewed candidates did not possess the skills to fill for the interviewed roles. In fact, that's the main reason the EH component has not been concluded. You can't bring in people at that scale and magnitude and start training them. NNPC does not have the time nor patience. Unlike the GTs that they are training and shaping to their standards.

Bros, abeg, this recent news is a big deal o. That time when the NNPC Twitter account stated that the 2019/2020 recruitment was concluded, even I thought it was over. But thank goodness, the GMD has corrected that statement made by their twitter handle.
To add to the news, today, I spoke with a fellow EH applicant who has a source in HR in Towers. My applicant friend was told that, in fact, almost every month in recent time, NNPC has been retiring people, or people have been reaching their retirement age; more are still to leave the firm in the coming weeks/months, and so, there are plenty vacancies. In truth, if not for the oil price situation of things, they would have thought of doing another recruitment this year. So, they will really conclude the EH and take people on merit using the results of this recruitment exercise. All is well that ends well.

If the immigration ladies that even danced with skimpy dresses on social media did not even have any serious penalty, then do you think reassuring your future colleagues that they will be taken into NNPC will warrant termination of appointment? For minor offenses in civil service, there are steps in punishment if one repeatedly commits the same offence: from verbal warning, to written warning (query), to suspension (with or without pay), before even thinking of firing the staff. No one thinks of sacking straight off, except if you commit a grave crime that shakes the cooperation to its core. So, your jobs are safe. Telling us that some of your speakers made mention of EH coming in, in the future, is not a top secret, or else, it would have not been mentioned in your orientation. Do not let anyone scare you about your job, not even them. If NNPC sacks you for a minor offence (if at all this is), just be thanking God for the hundreds of millions, if not billions, you will get from them when human rights lawyers take your case and sue them to court. There is no sane clime in the world that a recruitment of this magnitude would be prematurely completed without the applicants getting some feedback from the recruiting organisation.

But we have not held the government and politicians for more serious issues like herdsmen killings, insecurities, poor healthcare or other issues, and you think it is from NNPC EH recruitment that we will start? Nigeria has a deep fundamental issue that requires more serious intervention than just querying NNPC on Twitter. No be today our wahala start.

Here's my Sure 2cent on the EH recruitment exercise.....It has definitely not been cancelled and will be surely completed but i cant say when for certain.

Here's the reason i'm certain aside from working with these people daily. NNPC GTs starts at SS6 and currently, SS5 is vacant, the people in SS4 will be moving to SS3 (Supervisor cadre) next year and all of this is because the last recruitment was in 2012. It's almost impossible to leave those levels vacant as it creates a vaccum that creates all kind of problems that nobody wants.

The GTs certainly have no exprience right now and the current SS4 won't be expected to keep doing the work of mid level staff next year when they become supervisors. The GTs won't be experienced enough to fill in those shoes either and there are just somethings they wont let contract staff hadle so you see the connundrum they've found themselves in. Hopefully this Covid19 mess will be sorted soon so that the EH recruitment exercise will be done with but it hasn't been cancelled and there's no plan to.

Of course, they can will still take in more people, but will it be open or secret? From all indications, it looks like they want to bring in people through the backdoor to fill in the vacant slots? If as an EH, you want to live anxiety-free, take your mind off this recruitment. NNPC has specifically said the 2019-2020 recruitment has been concluded. Why do you think they would release GT list and, for unexplained reasons, delay EH list? These guys want to take people in secretly, that is if they haven’t already started the intake.

If any EH applicant is still banking on NNPC EH list come June or July, then that person needs to be counseled, because it looks more like such a person does not see value in themselves, and they feel they can’t amount to anything without NNPC. A word of advice: move on, and be more productive in whatever you are doing right now.

Hello guys. A friend wants to start the EE process. She has a first degree with Uniben, and a post-graduate diploma (PgD) with National Open University (NOUN). I know the highest degree is what is most important. The question is this: if she uses WES to evaluate only the PgD she obtained from NOUN, will the WES report read equivalent of Two or more Certificates? Or must she evaluate both first degree and the PgD in order for WES report to read equivalent of Two or more Certificates?

I had a childhood friend f I lost contact with for a longtime, I got to meet her on my way to school last year. Later we started talking and we became very close. So after reading things online I decided to run hiv test again in November in my school clinic. When I got there a young IT student attended to me though a lady was there that was like her boss. She prick my thumb and put it on a white kit I think it should be ELISA don't know but it a white tube. She told me to wait outside for 20mins. I came back when I looked at the register booklet were I wrote my name she wrote Negative but later cancelled it and told me she will have to take another blood sample. Before now before she used the white tube the lady told her she should have used the rapid kit that the white one is for confirmation. She took my blood again told me to wait. She was just staring at the kit. Then called her boss don't know what they discussed she just wrote positive and gave the result to me.I was shocked and I challenged her that it wasn't my result that I have not done anything. She brought out the white kit it showed two lines. The rapid kit was just one line but she insisted that there is a faint line of which I didn't see Called the other lady she say she will send me to their headquarters to do a confirmatory test.It late already but I was scared had to rush to lab and did hiv test and blood was drawn from my hand.The results came out NEGATIVE I Told the man everything he said sometime the kit can give a false positive result.The next day I went to the school clinic again I met the boss and the IT student. I told her have gone for a test in a lab and it was negative. She told me yes it's true you are negative. She carried out the test again that the rapid test ran well that it was negative but the white kit still showed positive. The IT student came out laughing she told me I was free so I left.Now December I started having dry throat for a week and I had this metallic test in my tongue.It stopped later after a week or so. I had something like a tiny rash on my stomach and my back, but it all cleared after applying skinnel. Anxiety nearly killed me because it was like after reading every symptoms online it won't be long I will feel something like that. I felt irritation in my throat like sore throat whenever I clear my throat I felt better.I had to go to a federal hospital for a test again to clear my mind. The lab man ran the test with a rapid kit and it was negative. Have been very okay but I'm battling with sore throat. First test was on Aug second was on November and the last I did was December. I was about running another test March but since the pandemic I can't go there. What's your advice guys

Your signs and symptoms after the HIV tests are due to anxiety I believe. Anxiety can give you synonyms that mimic Acute HIV symptoms.

I get your point, but compare these two. In the first tweet, the first statement, although it mentions ‘it will be a continuous process’, ended with ‘will be addressed in due course’.

In the second tweet, the above statements of the 1st tweet have been dealt with. Between February and May is a long time for NNPC to release an EH list if they wanted to. The second tweet just put the nail in the coffin. As mush as I want to be positive, I’ve lost all optimism, bearing in mind that the FG had issued that all future recruitments of federal agencies were to be stopped. I think we should move on. The earlier the better.

Only a miracle will make NNPC release an EH list, judging by their second tweet. Anything is possible in life though, but the odds in this case, of an EH list, are very low.

On February 14th NNPC said the EH component will be ‘addressed in due course’. ‘Addressed’ means they will say something about it, not necessarily that they will give EH people APL. And now they have have addressed the EH (although indirectly) by mentioning this: ‘successful completion of the 2019/2020 recruitment’, according to their tweet. If you want to live long and not die of anxiety, EH people, please move on o. This thing really pains me because I was very expectant as an EH applicant too. But what do I do? All the best to everyone.

I thought I’d never say this because I have always been patriotic, but mehn, ‘Nigeria is cursed!’ How many interviews have I gone to now, that they keep denying people who merit it? When Covid-19 ends, by all means, leave this country!
