AgricultureRe: My Watermelon Farming Experience by cocolacec(m): 7:46pm On May 19, 2021
Timmylehyn:
This is very good analysis. Waiting for the cost analysis. In my experience tho, watermelon can be very profitable. One acre of watermelon can give you better gross income than one acre of Cassava, and the cost of growing the melon is lesser than the cost of growing Cassava. Plus, you sell in 10 weeks unlike a year for Cassava. But, it's very risky. I hope to plant it again sometime in the year. Is your farm located in the southwest? Mine is. What period of the year do you think is best for watermelon (for farmers who don't have drip irrigation)?
Where in South west?
CareerRe: Should He Stay In Nigeria Or Move To UK? by cocolacec(m): 3:42pm On May 19, 2021
kktbm:
Good dey guys..... I was discussing with a friend of mine. He wants to move out of the country(uk) but his parents are trying to cajole him to stay ( he’s from a well to do family and they are financially capable)

His plan is after nysc he would go for masters and find his way.

He is 21 and currently serving (he’s field is IT)
But the issue is that his parent are trying to fine tune his head to stay (he’s the last born)

Their excuse is that
1) you would do menial jobs there
2) there is nothing there
3) even if you get a good job there, it’s difficult to rise as a black man
4) you will be lonely

Their main bone of contention is that there is nothing there.
Note: his dad and 4 other siblings out of 5 studied in the uk tho.

My friend doesn’t even want to stay atall, most of his friend are in the uk, he doesn’t have friends in Nigeria except a few. He doesn’t like going out because he said his mind is not in Nigeria. If you see him ehn you will know that he’s depressed. All he wants is to move to the uk.

He’s not even a badboy he doesn’t smoke, drink
He’s not a womanizer

(2 of his siblings have been in the UK SINCE early 2000’s and are already citizens)

The dad also isn’t saying he should not go, but after service, he should get a job first probably with Goverment (due to job security because his dad retired with the government) then work 2-3 years before going for his master.

His point his that he wants to go now that the funds and everything is intact. What if something should happen in future nko?

My advice for him his to leave immediately after service after all he has siblings who are in their early 40’s there to put him through and also a lot of family friends there

What would you advice
His parents told him the honest truth. He can go for his masters to see things for himself. After his masters programme he can decide to stay on post study visa or return home.Is he a British citizen?
IT field is a lucrative sector in Europe and the world currently.Indians dominate this sector in Europe and America.

PoliticsNigerians Are Blessed With Narcissistic Leaders(10 Xteristics) by cocolacec(op): 3:40pm On May 16, 2021
10 Narcissistic Leadership Characteristics
In the narcissistic leadership style, leaders are interested only in themselves and they prioritize their interests even to the detriment of others.
Narcissistic behavior involves dominance, hostility, and arrogance. This leadership style turns destructive when it is driven by the person’s need for power, and admiration and approval from others. However, healthy narcissistic behavior may also make good leadership qualities.

Here are some of the common traits of the narcissistic leader.

1. Lead with vision
In the positive spectrum of narcissistic leadership, the leaders understand the importance of having a vision that people believe in. These leaders are able to see the big picture, or rather, they see things that aren’t there yet, and attempt to create them.

2. Desire to be admired
Narcissistic leaders have a great yearning to be admired, and they usually tend to have a number of star-struck followers as well. Narcissists have a gift of attracting followers, and more often than not they do so with their highly developed verbal skills and articulation. The leaders are usually very skillful orators, and can deliver moving speeches. There is no dearth of charisma in a narcissistic leader.

3. Unable to take criticism
Narcissists are usually extremely sensitive, and this makes narcissistic leaders particularly sensitive to harsh criticism. They are unable take criticism constructively and brood over it endlessly. They cannot tolerate slights or dissenting opinions, and can be quite abrasive with those who dare voice a negative opinion.

4. Inability to listen
Narcissistic leaders are not good listeners, so don’t go talking to them about a vexing problem. This disinterest in listening presumably develops as a defense mechanism to keep them from acknowledging criticism. Narcissistic leaders also believe that subordinates do not have much to contribute, and their opinions need not be taken seriously.

5. Relationships
Healthy narcissistic behavior involves the real concern for other people, and this type of leader does not devalue the opinions and ideas of other people. On the other hand, leaders exhibiting destructive narcissistic behavior may not hesitate to devalue or humiliate others with no sense of remorse.

6. Consistency
If the leader has a healthy level of narcissism, they will have a set of values, the ability to follow a consistent path, and will usually follow through with plans. When narcissism turns destructive, you get a leader who has no values, is fickle and changes direction often, and is easily bored.

7. Empire building
A narcissistic leader wants to take over the world and create an empire. They want to leave behind a larger than life legacy, and therefore actively seeks to expand their sphere of influence, hire more subordinates, or increase their reach and authority within the organization. A narcissistic entrepreneur will keep building one company after another.

8. Lack of empathy
While they crave for empathy and understanding from others, narcissists themselves are not the most empathetic people. Some of the most charismatic and successful narcissists are not known for empathy. This lack of empathy can actually be a strength in times of chaos and radical change because they are not bogged down by feelings and emotions and the demands of their employees.

9. Competitive
And narcissistic leader is ruthlessly competitive. They are relentless in their pursuit of victory. They take games seriously, and see them as a test of their strength and survival skills. Since many narcissists are not high on conscience, they are quite capable of doing whatever it takes for a win.

10. Not good with mentoring
Since they lack empathy and are also extremely self-reliant, it is very difficult for a narcissistic leader to mentor somebody or be mentored. When they do mentor, they instruct rather than coach and try to make their protégés out to be smaller and paler versions of themselves.

Foreign AffairsRulling Families Of Ancuent Eygpt Were Blacks by cocolacec(op): 8:17am On May 15, 2021
A reminder...

Last year archaeologists discovered an incredibly rare undiscovered burial with a 4,000-year-old coffin with an incompletely untouched mummy inside.
The coffin was covered in hieroglyphic markings immediately giving the archaeologists vital information about who the mummy was.

They discovered that the person inside was a male called Shemay, they described him as a high priest member of the Elite Family who founded the cities of that region of Kemet.

The markings also identified his father as Kemay powerful governor of the region of Upper Kemet. And his mother was Satethotep, daughter of the founder of that region of Upper Kemet, Sarenput I. A man who was known as the right arm of the pharaoh of Kemet during that period, Senusret I. All this happens more than a millennia before the so-called invasion of the "Black Pharaohs" of the 25th supposedly the only black rulers of Kemet.

This is not crazy to us because we already know that the people of Kemet were black Africans, especially the Elite. The founding fathers, the natives, are the Africans who came from the south. Narmer/Menes is the first ruler of Kemet and all his depictions clearly show his Black African Origin.

If they can admit that the proximity with Nubia makes their blackness normal, why is it still difficult to admit that the pharaohs were blacks? Since we know that they came from that exact same region filled with black people to this day?

They are still trying to create a difference between the Kemites and their southern neighbors. A white Mediterranean people VS Black people frontier which is a complete lie.

The Kemites were similar to their southern neighbors. All the people who met them at that time admitted it. But people still try to sell us that mediteranean fantasy of a White/mediteranean Kemet as if Mediteranean is a race.
There have been migrations into Kemet, but the power remained in the hands of the southern families who were blacks until the late period when Kemet fell.
