Your thought is wrong, personally I don't see anything special in Lagos apart from the Sea port which other regions can make theirs functional or do you think that Igbos don't have or cannot have a sea port.

Mind you having a Yoruba nation does not prevent Igbos from living in Lagos Neither do having a Biafra prevent Yorubas from living in any part of the east.

Even in USA Nigerians have properties and business so I don't get your point.
If Nigeria should divide today,Only people with residence permit will be allowed to live in Yorubaland and Yoruba citizens.

Owning a property doesnt confer residence permit unless a law is made to that effect. We will opt out of ECOWAS to prevent mass migration from unwanted elements and enable us develop our land.

I really don't know why Igbos and Yorubas don't like hearing each other's name.

A Yoruba man will tell an Igbo mind your business and an Igbo will tell a Yoruba mind your business. What is actually the problem?

Let us look at this in a different way.

* Yorubas want their freedom and a nation of their own.

* Igbos want their freedom and a nation of their own.

* Hausas want their one Nigeria by fire by force since they have the lion share.

Why can't the 2 ethnic group (Yorubas & Igbos) who want freedom to unit and defeat the region that says no to their freedom.

Believe it all leave it, it will be had for Igbos to single handedly achieve freedom and the same to Yorubas.

If those who want freedom can stand together and say enough is enough then the north will never have the power to stop them.

The bigger problem is me and you, we are here on Nairaland fighting each other.

There is no other way to achieve freedom without coming together.
The reason they cannot unite together is covetuous attitude of the Igbos on Yorubaland claiming Lagos as their own.Fulani is our enemy but you dont unite or befriend someone who desires your wife also.

Fulanis and Ibos have their eyes on Yoruba bride,Lagos state.

If nigeria separate, we still own Lagos

Are we leaving our properties for you ?

Over 60% of real estate in Lagos ?

You are sleeping
You have to sell all those properties in Lagos once Nigeria breaks because you will need a residence permit to live in Yorubaland and failure to secure a residence permit will lead to detention and subsequently deportation.

The wise Ibos will sell off those properties to have money to develop their region.Iboland will be filled with massive influx of capital from Lagos.

Nyamurri will always find excuse for everything. Even the small Igala sold Nyamurris as slaves and one would wonder how those kind of people can build empire.

The Igwes are just warrant chiefs elevated by the British to fill quota system.
The Eboes were slaves to the Bini Empire in pre colonial times. The whites saved them from their bini lords and masters.

And you sincerely believe the fulani controlled federal government of Nigeria will allow that monopoly to be broken ? Just wait and see how those foreign countries, private investors and companies will be frustrated out of that cow business by the same federal government.

Fulanis are masters of deception and that's their greatest weapon. Whoever trusts any fulani does so at their own peril ! NLTP is just another instrument to advance the course of fulani hegemonic - land grabbing agenda ! Nobody should be fooled about it.

Mr Buhari opened our borders for all fulanis in west Africa to move into our country. Have you bothered to ask yourself why ? Then all of a sudden, National Identification Number registration ! Millions of foreign fulanis from Niger,Chad,Mali,Senegal,Guinea, Bukinafaso etc have become Nigerians overnight ! Where do you think fulani led federal government intends to settle those people ?

In my own state of Osun,we don't have any land for any dubious Livestock program that's aimed at securing land for fulanis. Fulani will NEVER be indigenous to Osun ! From RUGA to NLTP to Water Resources Control,my brother can't you see their desperation ?
Please don't be deceived !
Fulani cannot frustrate foreigners out of the business because they need their expertise on these things. Can fulanis produce powdered milk, flavoured youghurt, cheese, sausages etc.

Nigerian economy is partly owned by Europeans forget the black faces you see as fronts for them.
Denmark and Britain controls your port operations.Telcoms controlled by Europeans.

Britain, france,America etc controls the oil.Chinese and Australia etc control gold business. Etc.The list goes on and on.

If fulanis bring their brothers from other parts of Africa,we yorubas can bring our brethren to register for NIN from Brazil,Togo and Benin republic.Tit for tat.

I am tired of carrying yoruba matter on my head. seems there are indeed two tribes in Nigeria -the rich and the poor; the good and the bad. The best thing is to look for ways to japa and leave something sustainable for your family before you die, as a saved person, of course.

Look at the Akeredolu I was even trusting against the barbarian Fulanis
Why do Nigerians always like complaning without solutions?
why cant the indigenes of each state take over these ranches from govt to breed their own cows to overthrow the fulani monopoly of cow meat?
This is a food for thought. The South must get sense by force we must breed our own cows to make Fulanis sell at lower prices and drive them out of our markets.

Assailants on Wednesday hacked the village chief of Osewu community in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Abubakar Omazi, and 16 others in the area to death.

He said the assailants invaded the community in their large number with sophisticated weapons and attacked some residents with cutlasses.

He said among the victims was the vice chairman of vigilante in the community.

He said some of the bodies were recovered from the bush and had been buried in line with the Islamic rites.

The council chairman, Nuhu Dauda and some security operatives were said to have visited the community.

When contacted, the spokesman of the Nasarawa State Police Command, Ramhan Nansel, said the command was yet to receive information about the incident.

Also, bandits yesterday killed no fewer than 13 people in an attack on Damaga community in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Eyewitnesses said dozens of armed men arrived on motorcycles, firing at residents.

“As I’m talking to you, the bodies of the victims are being recovered and we’ve concluded arrangements for their burials,” a resident, who identified as Musa Damaga, told Daily Trust.

The spokesman of the state police command, SP Muhammad Shehu, when contacted by our corresponent, said: “Give me sometime. I will get back to you.”

[7] Zamfara State - Gusua

[2] Each state will be responsible for creating and funding its local governments as it deems fit. Local governments will be funded internally by the charging of a local tax, which will be augmented by a state grant representing no more than 10% of TV
[3] Over a 35 year period, we gradually migrate back to the 1957/58 revenue sharing formula agreed by our founding fathers at the Lancaster House Conferences in London under which the federating units will control all the resources within their domains and remit 50% to the centre

[4] Our federating units will keep 50% of all the revenue that they generate, put a further 20% into a central pot called the Excess Federation Account to which everyone can have access as the need arises, 10% will go into a geo-political zone account and the remaining 20% will go to into the Federation Account used to run the federal government

[5] With regards to all other resources, we shall move towards this immediately but in the case of oil and gas, the move will have to be gradual due to how dependent we have become on these two resources. A gradual migration shall take place over the next 35 years in this manner: 2000 - 13%, 2021 - 18%, 2023 - 20%, 2025 - 25%, 2030 - 30%, 2035 - 35%, 2040 - 40%, 2045 - 45%, 2050 - 50%

[6] Every one of our 42 states will be set a target of generating at least $2bn in export revenue. Any state government that attracts inward investment to the tune of $1bn, will get a corresponding grant from the federal government

[7] Any state that fails to generate as much revenue as it spends for two consecutive years as from 2020, will be subject to an immediate declaration of a state of emergency. It shall be administered centrally by the federal government until its books are balanced

[8] Every state must seek to generate at least 30% of its internal revenue from manufacturing and services, with a migration away from primary products to value added production

[9] Every state is free to create more local governments provided they meet the necessary criteria which includes holding a referendum and the fact that the local government area is self-sustaining. To be recognised as a local government area, basic facilities that must exist within the domain include 20 primary schools, five secondary schools, a local government headquarters, at least one vocational training college and at least one public health centre

[10] All local and state governments will as a matter of course award supply contracts to companies that manufacture products within Nigeria. Only as a last resort will companies that manufacture products abroad be granted government contracts.

RomanceRe: Do I remove This Baby? by cocolacec(m): 1:13pm On Mar 03, 2021
tommie1:
I have an issue bugging me and I need some serious advise because I have been very indecisive so far.

There is a lady I'm seeing. She came to my place a few weeks ago and we had sex, first with condoms and later without condoms.

However, I gave her some money to get postinor when she left for her place the next morning.

That morning, I asked if she got the drug when she called to say she had arrived home and she said "yes".

I called her again that evening to ask if she had taken it and she said "yes".

A few weeks later, she called to say she is pregnant.

As I later found out, at least according to what she said, she took the drug the next day after arriving at her home and not on that day she told me she took it. She gave some flimsy excuse as to why she did it but it does not matter anymore at this point.

At this moment, we are considering removing the baby.

While I have been very indecisive, she has agreed to go with whatever decision I take and has spoken to a doctor who will do it this Friday.

However, I am unsure as of this moment if I want to go on with this because even though I am done with uni, I do not think I have gotten to that point where I can shoulder more responsibilities.

I am self employed and somewhat financially okay but not in a way that I can take care of three people, particularly a baby. I was okay as of 2019 until COVID came and turned my life upside down last year.

And believe me, I was really glad I was not married as of last year because I went through hell. Serious hell. The lockdown finished me.

I am slowly recovering (very slowly) and still trying to figure my way out through life and rebuilding what I lost but I am afraid that having the burden of a woman and baby at this point may derail me.

And I really do not know who to turn to when I am unable to provide for the both of them.

What do you guys think? Do I go on with this or just let the baby be?
Life is full of ups and downs.Keep the baby and plan for its arrival in the next eight months.Let your girlfriend get busy with something to support the new family.Food is the new gold mine.
