Politics › Re: Tinubu May Never Release Nnamdi Kanu If He Became The President by cocolacec(m): 9:29am On May 26, 2023 |
FreeSpirited: I believe even though it's as slim a chance as impossible, Buhari has a better chance of releasing Nnamdi Kanu than Tinubu . This new govt gearing up to succeed Buhari is as wary of the IGBOs, if not more, as the Buhari regime, especially for the pressure of performance and expectation lying on their head. That's if they eventually rule though. .. The anti Igbo rhetorics and extreme tribal violence that rocked the Lagos election is a big proof of the suspicion BATist camp have for the IGBOs. Even if TINUBU makes a move to release Nnamdi kanu, which is very unlikely, cos of fear of unknown or fear of destabilization of his govt which is currently being abhored by angry Nigerians, his advisers will definitely vote against it....... Note:
1. Yorubas don't trust the IGBOs at all... 2. Major advantage or benefit that should accrue to the Igbos under their regime will either be resisted or heavily politicized. 3. Most BATist believe Buhari is justified for incarcerating and treating Nnamdi Kanu as bad as possible. They call it national interest, and it is this same zealous view that will ensure they make him remain in jail. 4. The BATist camp believe Nnamdi Kanu, ipob are Expendables . If possible, should be annihilated 5. The BATist strongly detest anything Biafra as much as the north, cos they fear anything that will make them unable to suck from the oil money of the Niger-delta cos they believe it's their time to chop. So Nnamdmi kanu is someone they will be really scared of, cos they love deceiving themselves with the word "good governance, security, and national stability, stability stability..." As a result, I sincerely feel for Nnamdi Kanu .. Note I'm not Igbo. I'm a bonafide Yoruba, ogidi ọmọ Yorùbá ní mí,before the corn people will attack me. Peace. If Buhari doesnt release let Peter Obi release him in 2031 when he declares Biafra republic. |

gidgiddy: Im glad that Seun Kuti has finally regained freedom, detention in Nigeria can be an experience
However, I cannot help but compare the way Seun Kuti was treated, and the way Frederick Nwajiagu, the ceremonial "Eze Ndigbo Ajao estate", was treated.
Both men were arrested in Lagos for alleged crimes and arraigned in the same court. The authorities asked that they both be remanded in custody for 21 days. While Seun Kuti is out in less than a week, Eze Ndigbo, a man of nearly 70 years, was not only remanded for 21 days, but was slamed with 9 counts of terrorism and is still in detention
Seun Kuti verbally and physically assaulted a Policeman, Eze Ndigbo only talked. While Seun Kuti took action, Eze Ndigbo was more about peace, preserving the lives and property of his people. His only crime was mentioning IPOB.
The double standards in Nigeria is something else Eze Ndigbo should employ Femi Falana as his legal counsel. |

Osunboy: Okay..I have been dating my babe for a year now. She is a registered midwife has her license and already practicing but nursing was actually her choice. She didn't get the nursing form, reason why she picked the midwifery form in a nursing school. So, I will be going for my Masters this September and I want her to go with me as a dependent even her dad also want this including her but where the problem is, is that she just got an admission to a polish university to study Nursing (3 years) and the agent running the Polish admission for her has guaranteed her visa. Now, she is confused whether to follow me down to UK as dependent or she should just go for her degree over there. Her dad said he is cool with whatever decision we make and ready to also contribute if she will be going with me.
My question is this, if she goes with me, what prospect does she have over there? Are there universities she can do conversion courses to Nursing over there? Are jobs for her there as a midwife (on the condition she passes the NMC council exam there) Or she should just focus on her Poland and we hope our paths cross again....We have a decision to make quickly.
I have already told my parents I will be getting married before she now brought the issue of Poland and stuff..
Note: The dad told me he has given the agent money on somethings already but he can forgo that if I am really ready to marry her and go with her but yet to pay school fees. Likewise, she is has an active admission in Ukraine but didn't go there because of the war that broke out last year reason why the agent searched for this Poland for her. According to the agent, she has been booked for an appointment in the Polish embassy by August. Thank you. You guys can pursue both UK and Poland at the same period. She will be your dependant in the UK and you will be her dependant in Poland. You guys can visit each other while studying and compare notes to determine the best country to raise your family in respect to immigration rules. |

Shiver99: You are completely correct Op, and I have been meaning to begin a thread about this.
Colonists even noted the first Igbo children forced into early missionary schools found it difficult to adjust because of the physical brutality they passed as discipline then. Nigeria's culture of 'discipline' has been largely shaped by poverty, insecurity and decades of living in a callous or unempathetic culture.
But you have to be careful because there are many cultures in this country, particularly Islamic, that historically used these methods to discipline the child. Arabs dont beat their children too studying in madrasa.Christianity and Islam were given to Africans through subjugation, beating and callous way that is why the so called ministers of these religions are mean. |

ivolt: When you started your post, I thought maybe this one will be different. But here you are displaying your inbred slavishness by bringing up Sweden. You probably also believe that the white man teach you how to speak.
Corporal punishment is universal and natural among humans, that is why laws are needed to combat it. It has nothing to do with religion.
Now to the issue of Swedes, the Swedes of today are the product of yesterday. At no time did the Swede sat down and say let us stop beating our kids so they can be incorruptible. Nope. Swedes beat kids when other Europeans did and stopped when their neighbours did. It was even outlawed until 1979. Are you saying the Swedes became "incorruptible" by then? BTW, your perfect Sweden is the rape capital of Europe, yes, you read that right. Maybe it due to lack of beating?
The vices and crimes in a society are a product of income and poverty. Beating or lack of it is irrelevant.
You are confused about cause and effect. You need to review whatever is giving you such a ludicrous idea. The reason Sweden is a rape capital is because each rape case committed by one man is recorded as a seperate incident sny time it occurs. Another reason is the influx of lone migrant men into Sweden from Afghanistan,Iraq,Syria,Eritrea,Somalia, etc |

Romance › 41 Sex Buyers Arrested In Stockholm Prostitution Sting by cocolacec(op): 2:14pm On May 19, 2023 |
Dozens of people were arrested as part of a major crackdown on sex buyers in Stockholm. Police hit three different addresses in Stockholm a few weeks ago, including the Götgatan street on hipster island Södermalm, Swedish public radio news broadcaster Ekot reported on Tuesday morning. A total of 41 men were held in the operation, according to Ekot. The raids targeted temporary apartment brothels, which police say are becoming more common. "What was previously associated with prostitution, such as street prostitution, has been sharply reduced. The prostitution scene has moved indoors, to AirBnB apartments, hotels and the like," Johan Christiansson, prostitution and human trafficking investigator at Sweden’s Gender Equality Agency, told Ekot. Almost all the men were brought to court via a new fast-track system which means that a court hearing can be scheduled at the point of arrest, and a few are still being investigated by a prosecutor. Last year around 50 men in Stockholm county were convicted of buying or attempting to buy sexual services. Sweden became the first country in the world to criminalize buying sex, rather than selling sex, in 1999. Anyone found guilty of buying sex can be fined or sent to jail for up to a year. https://www.thelocal.se/20200212/41-sex-buyers-arrested-in-stockholm-prostitution-stingNigeria needs to adopt this law to reduce hookup in the country. |

Adexgentle005: The truth is that black can’t rule themselves, especially in a country like nigeria. Sometimes, I wonder why we fought for independence when we are not rip to be. It’s so crazy when you see politicians using religious and ethnic to divide us.
Look at South Africa for example, they are so well with the help of whites around them. Look at some of the tournaments around the world that some African countries don’t participate in but SA do.
White people should just come back and rule this country once again. It’s so obvious we can’t rule ourselves.
Some group of people just call themselves leaders to milk this country dry. I’m tired of hearing someone is arraigned for 100bn fraud. Another one is arraigned for 20bn fraud. It’s all audio arraignment that won’t see the light of the day. Giant of Africa my foot! The truth is the whites never left, your black face leaders work for white elites whodictate policies for Nigeria.Your leaders are puppet to the white colonisers. |
