Congratulations Onuachu! |
Good job from the Ebubeagu team, I'm expecting the other SE states to finalize Ebubeagu once they get the legislative approval from their respective house of assembly. |
These Northerners really have a weird sense of entitlement. |
Coldsperm:How do you know Ebubeagu operatives are unarmed? |

AdakaBoro8:A deadly consumption of ogogoro, inhalation of toxic gas fumes, drinking of murky polluted water are in the right order the definite fate and trauma of the Ijaw ecological situation which has really reduced your IQ unit to reasoning abilities of a gnat. I don't know if you're product of your unfortunate environment, or you are just too plain daft and recalcitrant to take simple English corrections. You wrote as follows in your post "Igbo IS A DISGRACED TO AFRICA" now it doesn't take a half-wit to spot the obvious grammatical blunder there, the correct sentence structure should be, "Igbos are a disgrace to africa" OR "The Igbo is a disgrace to Africa"... If you can't grasp this simple concept, then you should go meet your poor parents who wasted their hard earned oil-spillage money to educate a irredeemable dunce like you and apologize to them profusely so their money badly spent... alternatively you can ask your Ijaw brother Phijo to save your blushes by correcting your mistake in Izon language. Abeg no dey quote me again, you are too dense to be worth a dint of my time been wasted. |
AdakaBoro8:Olodo it's "are a disgrace" NOT "is a disgraced", this is why you should learn basic English instead of spending your time honing your skills in militancy. |
Mental illness laced with a dose or more of joblessness is a lethal combination, maybe the interpretation to your useless dream is a glaring reflection of how crisis-ridden and fu*ked up your life is. First step: Go see a shrink, seek medical help and get back on your psychotropic meds... Second step: When things calm down, go find a job and make yourself useful.. Igbos will do just fine, they always have. |
It's ironical that Yorubas mock Igbos when Ibos fight back the bleeped up Nigerian oppressive system like ESN/IPOB are doing... Little do they realize the South is now surrounded and conquered by a ruthless Fulani political & military machinery... may we all get sense by force. |
I've gotten all the true details of the chaos that went down in Oru East, Awo mmama... and yes there was a joint sting operation involving the NPF, units from the Nigerian army, ITF, and the DSS against suspected ESN operatives in a base located in Awo mmama and led by the much talked about "Commander Ikonso". The security agencies came prepared and heavily stacked up and it appeared they took the ESN operatives completely by surprise. There was a very serious gun battle that ensued when the Nigerian joint security forces stormed the base of commander Ikonso, and despite been outnumbered and outgunned, commander Ikonso and his boys put up a very determined fight till commander Ikonso and one of his boys (not 6 as the army shamelessly claimed with no proof) were taken down... the rest escaped and only two ESN operatives were killed with two others captured after been injured in the clash. The security forces lost 5 men in the gun battle. After the news of Commander Ikonson's death from the invasion broke, his boys went on a vengeful rampage and razed down Hope Uzodinma's mansion and some of his vehicles at his country home in Omuma, killing three of his security guards. Then two more security men who were transporting gallons of petrol were tracked down and in a random act of violence also gunned down around Oguta junction. Right now the atmosphere is tense in Oru East and the army have reinforced and are on high alert in various strategic areas of the community... there's suspicion that there might be reprisals from the ESN or "unknown gunmen" on military and police targets in the coming days. |

Ogun Long Bridge, where kidnappers hold sway, unleash reign of terror, tears and blood Deji Lambo 21 April 2021 DEJI LAMBO examines the increasing cases of attacks and kidnappings on commuters and motorists on the Long Bridge, the efforts of stakeholders and their expectations from the government to tackle the problem Connecting Lagos and Ogun states together is a six-kilometre bridge that emboldens criminals to brazenly disregard the rule of law during nocturnal hours. Under the cover of darkness pervading the entire stretch of the bridge, robbery, kidnapping and murder, among other heinous crimes, have been recorded on the Long Bridge with motorists, commuters and residents of surrounding communities at the receiving end of the unfortunate tragedies. READ ALSO: Six cultists nabbed during initiation in Lagos This displeasing state of affairs goes on daily on the Long Bridge end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that is in between the Ifo and Obafemi Owode local government areas of Ogun State with attendant loss of lives and property. On March 5, 2021, a cab driver, Ahmed Adepoju, was conveying four passengers to their destination in the Berger area of Lagos State when his car broke down abruptly around 5.50am on the Long Bridge. While trying to examine the car, eight armed herdsmen stormed out of their hideouts under the bridge, broke the windscreen of the faulty vehicle and attacked Adepoju and his passengers. “The only man among my passengers escaped with wounds inflicted on his head and arm,” the 50-year-old driver said, adding that a desperate attempt to flee the scene of the attack made him jump from the bridge. Adepoju said, “Immediately I jumped down from the bridge, five guys also jumped down and apprehended me. The other three guys also got down from the bridge and they all led me into the forest. We walked for an hour and got to a well from which they fetched water and drank. “Afterwards, they tore my cloth, used it to cover my face and also used my singlet to tie both of my hands. We walked for another one hour until we got to their hideout, where they started torturing me with cutlasses and cane. They also used a heavy stick to hit my head and the impact of the stick pressed my skull inward. “They demanded N50m ransom and I was instructed to contact people who could pay the money. So, I called my pastor but his pleas were ignored. They were all Fulani; the oldest of them is about 25 years and they said it was either I pay or die. The father of five said only one of the suspects could read and speak pidgin English, adding that the rest partially communicate in Hausa, but speak in a language they used in communicating with cows. Adepoju stated, “It got to a point that they said they would kill me and move on, but I pleaded for my life as I had no money. They later concluded with my sister, Adijat, to pay N500,000, but through the support of my pastor and family members, N200,000 was raised. “I was with them for 21 hours and was released on March 6 around 2.37am on the Long Bridge after they had received the ransom from my sister. The bush is wide, its entire stretch reaches Itasin in Akute, Sote, Igboko, Ori Iyanrin in Orimerumu, Ajiyan and Gasline at Iju Waterworks. The kidnappers are used to the bush. “Even after my case, other people were kidnapped on the Long Bridge and are nowhere to be found till date. In fact, policemen came from Abeokuta to search for them but could not locate the victims. If the Fulani herdsmen get to know that the police are looking for them, they will kill the victims.” Aside Adepoju, the Chairman, Warewa Security Council, Olanrewaju Falade, said the family of another victim also paid ransom after he was kidnapped on the bridge, adding that in a bid to curb the insecurity on the Long Bridge, the community partnered the Ogun State Police Command. Falade stated, “How the incident happened was that a young man was coming to Lagos and his car developed a mechanical fault at Arepo around 2am. So, he called his friend, who stays in Magboro, for assistance and the friend decided to assist him by using a rope to tow the vehicle to Lagos. “On their way, the rope snapped on the Long Bridge and while they were trying to fix it, the hoodlums appeared from nowhere and kidnapped the friend, who was assisting the other person whose car broke down. “The owner of the faulty car escaped; initially, we thought the two of them were kidnapped until the other person came to the station the following morning and explained that he escaped. So, the person who offered to help was kept for a number of days, but was eventually released after ransom was paid.” Falade, however, said the bush surrounding the Long Bridge had been aiding the daredevil hoodlums to launch onslaughts against unsuspecting members of the public, adding that the insecurity was common, because both sides of the bridge were partially built up. Read Also Soldiers tackle police as Kaduna varsity students’ abductors demand N800m Ekiti monarch’s abductors demand N20m ransom, anxiety grips family Repentant militants, kidnappers become pastors He said, “We cannot continue to be living with our hearts in our mouths just because we have to drive through the Long Bridge every day. We have had a meeting with the state Commissioner of Police, and we are looking at getting all stakeholders involved to address this menace. “Whether it is Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Fulani or foreign bandits, we just want to upgrade security around the Long Bridge such that no bandit from anywhere will be able to operate there. But we need resources and manpower; we want to light up the entire Long Bridge from end to end so that if our men are patrolling, it will be easier for them to see and act accordingly. “We also commissioned the cutting of the bush under and around the bridge because those hoodlums hide in the bush to launch their attacks. These hoodlums usually stone our patrol team from their hideouts in the bush and also stone vehicles moving on the bridge. So, if they stone you, and you get angry that somebody broke your glass and you park, they will attack you” Falade urged people to be aware of the antics of the hoodlums to avoid being robbed or kidnapped on the Long Bridge, adding that when the bush was cut, the stoning reduced drastically. He, however, appealed for support from corporate organisations and approval from the government so that the projects needed to strengthen security on the bridge could be executed. When contacted, the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, said the command had been working assiduously to curb insecurity on the Long Bridge. He, however, urged the government to light up the bridge, assist in clearing the bush around it and also provide drones for surveillance of the bridge’s surroundings. Ajogun stated, “As a command, we are doing all that is necessary to improve security on the Long Bridge; we have deployed more personnel on the bridge; we have also deployed more vehicles and motorcycles with a view to enhancing our visibility on the bridge on a 24-hour basis. “We also took the initiative of identifying the opportunities that are facilitating the commission of crimes by these criminals and we discovered that the bush around the bridge is a cover that the criminals are using. “The Divisional Police Officer, Warewa Division, CSP Folasade, Tanaruno is in charge of that Long Bridge, took the initiative of clearing the bush, but along the line, the community came in, commended her efforts and took over the financial responsibility of doing that and also returned the money that the DPO had initially expended to clear the bush.” Ajogun explained that members of communities around the bridge had presented a template to improve security on it, adding that it was the belief of the residents that if a drone was deployed for surveillance on the bridge, it would curb the situation. He added, “The community members also have a project on lighting up the bridge, but it is such that it will require government support. They also said the Federal Government had a project of lighting up that particular bridge, but pending the time the contractors will finish the construction and in addition to the efforts we are making, a temporary arrangement should be made through the installation of solar panels to light up the bridge to deter away criminals. “So, if the government can support us in lighting up the entire bridge, ensuring that the grass around the bridge is lowered and enhancing surveillance by way of deploying a drone, I think those will go a long way in improving security on the bridge.” During a visit to the Seriki Hausa Awori land, Isheri-Olofin Market, Muhammadu Gbadamosi, he said, “I recently had a meeting with the Commissioner of Police regarding the armed robbery and kidnapping incidents on the Long Bridge and I told him that the suspects are not from this market. They come from somewhere else to commit crime on the Long Bridge and run away. “I have over 20 policemen here in Kara Market. I told the Divisional Police Officer, Warewa Division, that I have directed all herders to return their cows to the market before 7pm because I don’t want any cow around the Long Bridge from 7pm and any cow and herder seen should be arrested.” ,, https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/ogun-long-bridge-where-kidnappers-hold-sway-unleash-reign-of-terror-tears-and-blood/%3famp |
gidgiddy:At least you're the only intelligent person here who gave a brilliant submission devoid of mere emotion and insults. I agree with you wholeheartedly, maybe you don't know it but I was one of the biggest supporters and front-runners for the creation of ESN as I was tired of the uselessness of your Governors. ESN started off well and justifiably got all the needed support and goodwill from Igbos, much to the chagrin of other elements. I don't know what happened, but it seemed at some point that ESN lost the plot and delved in needless acts of showmanship, filming yourselves shooting stray cows or shooting at nothing was rather too much of a hassle, now we're dealing with the menace of unknown gunmen whom Kanu has not hesitated to show unequivocal support to. I welcome any measure that will be bring peace FIRST to the East as many of them are planning on coming home soon to invest. |
As much as I detest the SE governors due to their gross nonchalance in the face of rising insecurity, I can't also exonerate ESN for the cascading effect of chaos and mindless bloodletting that have pervaded the East since ESN was created. I know the IPOB and Kanu soldiers will come for me and call me all sorts of names without putting out a logical rebuttal, but if we have to be honest to ourselves by asking salient questions... has ESN stopped the wave of fulani attacks in the East? short of releasing propaganda videos where cows were shot and combat scenes were faked... how did ESN help in nipping the Fulani menace in the bud? with the introduction of ESN we saw the advent of "Unknown gunmen" who spent more time killing security agents, we don't need rocket science to put two and two together and decipher it was just all about a grudge show of strength between ESN vs Nigerian security agents, suddenly chasing out Fulani criminals in our forest landmarks wasn't a priority to ESN anymore... I'm tired of us praising unknown gunmen for killing soldiers and police officers (even as much as I hate our Nigerian security personnels), I'm tired of the East always making frontpage headlines for all forms of insecurity, breaking out dangerous criminals from prison isn't particularly smart either as they will end up returning to their various crimes! I can never respect the SE governors cause they are all bunch of useless and gutless ninnies, but I welcome EBUBEAGU with all the legal backings they will now receive to become operational. I hope they liase with Innoson for the manufacturing of operational vehicles and other logistics. God bless Alaigbo God bless EBUBEAGU God bless Nnamdi Kanu (for making those useless governors SIT UP). |
Which civilization has the rightful claim to this famous art work.. The Benins insist they are the original owners and the Yorubas stole it from them, while the Yorubas insist it belongs to them since the era of Ile-ife. Which sides actually owns it? it's causing a stir on social media now as Benin groups are accusing the yorubas of appropriating their art work.

That voted this geriatric insensitive bigot and bastard called Buhari into power, whether directly or indirectly, I decree and declare that you and your entire family including your unborn generation will suffer for 800 years, and may you die a painful and sadistic death. I'm so aggrieved right now, the dilemma we Nigerians especially those of us who seek to return home at some point and invest massively is very unprecedented and worrying especially in the face of rising and unmitigated security problems. The immediate menace and danger that makes coming back to Nigeria a nightmare is the Fulani herdsmen madness which the government of the day has simply failed to nip in the bud... or simply don't care enough... the sheer effontery of these fulani animals to destroy your means of livelihood and challenge you makes me fume and wish I had the genocidal means of Adolf Hitler to wipe out these fulani subhumans once and for all. Imagine living in the diaspora for many years, working your butt off just to make a decent living, and then when God finally blesses you with the money and opportunities, you decide to at some point return to your country to invest in some profitable business... only for sole dirty looking herdsmen to kidnap you, torture you, demand outrageous ransoms on your head, and then kill you like a pig leaving your body to decay in some bush or forest... that's the morbid fate we in the diaspora fear to experience. At this point I'll just rather invest in Ghana or some decent country and naturalize there. |

QuotasSystem:Aboki terrorist apparently its conspicuous enough to see your military can't even get their "FACTS" straight. On one hand they claimed to have raided the camp of the ESN, and then at the flip of a coin claimed the supposed ESN gunmen attacked their checkpoint... I know stupidity and the low IQ syndrome resonates with the average Aboki subhuman, but at least I would expect you to be a lot bit smarter than I give you credit for! |
gidgiddy:Lol you're even trying too hard just to drum some sense into that numbskulled idiot, you should have asked him how come the Nigerian soldiers (who are very good at publicity stunts) didn't display the rifles and guns recovered from these "ESN gunmen" they claimed to have killed... abi did ESN exchange fire with them using their bare fist? |
