Business › About The Benjamins by Code213(op): 3:41pm On Jan 15, 2015 |
'It's all about the Benjamins'.
I know a lot of people have used the phrase above. 'Benjamins' refering to money. How did the slang 'Benjamins' come about? Well, it is traced to Benjamin Franklin, a former President of America whose face appears on $100 note. Although there are actually higher denominations of the dollar, there are rarely used! Hence $100 is usually the highest denomination commonly in circulation. |

Wat has GMB say about d almajiris in his manifesto Pls I am askin u. My friend, stop quoting me! Are u a cretin? Don't we have graduates roaming the streets without skills and jobs? Does the Nigerian educational system really equip us enough to be globally apar with contemporaries around the world? Does going to school guarantee a job in Nigeria? Wouldn't it be better to have schools that can serve as driving force for our industries and private sector? |

theorbiters: Okay, now I get you. But don't you think he laying foundations for the next generations? I mean, these schools where not there before he came and I knw 6 years is too much for him to actually go in-depth with them if he had them in mind. But at least he needs to set up a foundation upon which every other project would take off, don't you think so? Yes. I agree with you!! I wish he had implemented a bigger vision to back the buildings!! And we haven't even asked how much was used in building these schools! The figures might shock us all. Nigerians yearn for a visionary!! That's the long and short. See China's recent prosperity, you can trace it to Deng Xiaoping. Jonathan is far from visionary. |

theorbiters: I don't get you sir. Are you saying he shouldn't have built these schools? No sir!! Am glad he did!!! I just wish he did it with sincerity of purpose, tracing the root cause of this almajiri problem, their unemployability, and how their large number can be used to drive a sector- say textile for instance!! GEJ needs to add depth to his programmes. It is not just about structures!! If he means well for almajiris, then he should go the full mile in partnership with respective state governments. Hope u get my point.. |

What is the curriculum? Will these kids leave this school skilled and gainfully employed?? GEJ lacks depth in reasoning!! He plays to the gallery!! And that's why I dislike him!! He doesn't know how to add 1 to 1 to solve chronic problems.
All I see here is window-dressing. We need an indepth plan of getting this kids off the street, and creating policies that will check this sort of parental irrseponsibility and child abuse practised up north. We need schools that can give them skills, we need factories that can absorb them! Say garment factories for instance!!
Infact, no need for all this long talk!!

What enabling environment do you need again when you can't put into use the one available. Keep waiting for GEJ to spoonfeed you while your mates are already Billionares.
With the way you rant here, you will die poor. Lmao!!! What a Clown!! You are such a bitter young man. You walk around with ur misery hoping everyone else is as miserable as you! Pathetic. |

You want stable electricity blablabla, your mates are into electricity business generating power and making billions as profit, what stops you from being like them abi your lineage was cursed to remain poor?
Do you know how google started? Did the owner of google sit down at home complaining of no job? No. He was creative enough and thought of a way he can help his country by reducing unemployment which I believe led to his innovation and success. Can't you think? Are u daft? Will you die a poor man? Why can't you look at your surrounding and think of something to invest in with or without funds, Youwin is always there to support you. Ewu Lolz!!! U are such a stupi.d young man! Am not worried about myself, but about unemployed people like you that could possibly rob me. I want the enabling environment to be provided to get u off the street. I provide myself electricity when power goes off! My father is fine! Thank u. He's living well and retired!! Do u know how Google started? Are our universities that Research friendly? Hw easy is it for start-ups to access finances in Nigeria? Isn't it more advisable for FG to create the enabling environment for Venture Capitalists and private sector participation in driving the economy? Hw old are u? What have u achieved so far in life? What's the most ur ventures have earned you? Or do u still live and feed from your parents? You are a very big phoool!!! Na beta slap I for give u if to say I sabi u. |

We as human beings have dreams and aspirations but sad enough the funds to actualize those dreams are not there. Now youwin comes to our rescue by allowing us get capital from government and in turn you not only achieve your dreams but you contribute to our economy. This is the era of Innovation, think of something you can do.
Which do you prefer, to be given fish or taught how to fish? You are a yamhead! Millions of youths are unemployed or under-employed, u are here blabbing about youwin! Hw many people has youwin empowered so far? Is it up to 6000? Ajaokuta steel mill shld be put to work 2 employ engineers! We don't need youwin's money!! shikaan: Why are you attacking me personality? Where did i say i know all. Simple thing for you was to check if there was any truth in my judgement, which u dint. If subsidy had been removed, the prices will fall automatically because the price is determined by market forces... its as simple as that.. i dont expect u to understand it sha. because u are going to be part of GMB's deligation to stabilize the oil market. At the moment, our fuel is not being subsidized I hope u know that? And even fuel subsidy in the first place was fraudulent because it didn't take into account the fuel being refined by our refinaries! Subsidy was on imported fuel. Secondly, can u see the price disparity between crude oil's current price, and the subsidy price? So, if u deduct subsidy from d current price of crude, there is enough room 4 pms price to drop. GEJ government is punishing Nigeria with the old price of pms just so they can sustain the economy by making up for their wastage, greed and looting during the oil boom. If they drop d price of pms, the FG might go broke. That's the simple truth. |

"To be honest you can not help but promote Buhari. I mean he cried a few years ago for Nigeria, now reverend Fathers are crying......Sincerely speaking, for a retired Soildier in the Nigerian Army, who has just one Wife, even though his religion allows him to marry more. For an ex President who declares his assets publicly with no foreign account. For an attractive Man who can boast of having no girlfriend or mistress, in a World where having extra marital affairs is the order of the day. And during all these time the devil has not possessed any of his worshippers to blackmail him. There must be something interesting about this person, and Nigerians want to learn such discipline from this Personality. This is not a campaign, this is an intriguing mystery we want to be part of". -By Alhaji Adamu Ciroma Quoting this for future reference!!! #Buhari/Osinbajo all the way! |

eyesofgod: I stumble on this post by Dino Melaye and decided to share it with NLders.
Posted On 28 Oct 2014By : Web MasterComments: 2Tag: APC, Dino Melaye, Muhammadu Buhari, News
Honorable Member of the Federal house of Representative Dino Melaye wrote the following on his Facebook page to explain why a former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, could not afford the N27 million APC presidential form.
According to the post, Mr. Melaye said: “I read online the question a lady asked. The question is how can Buhari who earns over 300million naira yearly claim that he can not afford to pay 27million naira for the APC presidential form. I became interested and decided to investigate. I went to the ministry of Finance where I discovered that it is true that all former Presidents and Head of states actually get 23million naira monthly. But I found out that General Buhari actually wrote the minister of Finance to reject the 23million monthly pay. He said in his letter that he will only accept 10percent or that amount which is 2.3million and that is what he has been taking. This is just to clear the air. What a Nigerian! what class of integrity! God please make us men and women of integrity. Amin.”
Historically, leadership success has been associated with money and power. The more you have, the more successful you are. This is a false idea of success. How many people do you know that have money and power that are also happy, ethical, and purposeful. www.forbes.com/../leadeship-succes
Weak Leaders Try to Use Money as a Motivator: Decades of research and dozens of studies show again and again that while money can be a de-motivator, it is rarely a good motivator. Money always shows up as fourth or fifth on any list of motivational factors. Pay gets people to show up for work. But pay doesn’t get many to excel. More important is interesting, challenging, or meaningful work, recognition and appreciation, a sense of accomplishment, growth opportunities, and the like. www.clemmergroup.com
The great Tanzanian President is remembered for living an austere life. When he handed over he didnt have a personal house.
The question then is should GMB be villified for living within his means or should be supported in his quest for leadership role? What a man!!!

Shininstar30: JUST CURIOUS:
APC has been consistent in saying that PDP has ruled Nigeria for 16 disastrous years in which corruption, impunity, insurgency, armed robbery and several ills of society held sway. But at a very close look at the APC, I am seeing: 1)Rotimi Amaechi – 8 years speaker; 7 year, Governor under PDP. 2)Atiku Abubakar – 8 years Vice president under PDP. 3)George Akume – 8 years Governor under PDP. 4)Bukola Saraki – 8 years Governor; 2 years, Senator under PDP. 5)Timipre Sylver – 4 years Governor under PDP. 6)Audu Ogbe – 2 years National Chairman of the PDP. 7)Aminu Masari – 4 years as the Speaker, House of Representatives under PDP.
Chris Ngige – 3 years Governor under PDP. 9)Rabiu Kwankwaso – 7 years Governor; 3 years Defense minister under PDP. 10)El Rufai – 4 years FCT Minister; 2 years BPE Chairman under PDP. 11)Tambuwal-3years as Speaker House of Reps under PDP. Is APC a waste basket of the PDP, where the people who created and perpetuated the 16 disastrous years are now dumped ?. So where is the change coming from? Are they now saints because they joined APC? ^^^Nobody reads that bullshit any longer!!! Save yourself the trouble!! |

kelechiodo: I am GEJ fan and will vote for him any time any day. But look at Lagos, Enugu and Ibadan rallies. You cannot equate them with Abeokuta. GEJ publicists need to be active. Buhari is a devil and must be shown as such. Someone who disobeys and ignores rule of law, someone who sentence people to 200 years, someone who defies international convention and turn the office of president into international kidnapping syndicate, someone who disobeys laws that Nigeria Bar Association abandoned courts for him, someone who started initiating Nigeria into OIC and support the sharia that was later hijacked by people (boko haram) who know how to implement it better, someone whose economic policy was just upside down. A sadist masquerading as a crusader should not be allowed to taste the seat of power. Attimes I laugh at people who said that Nigerians have come of age and can never go back to the ages of dictatorship. I laugh because Germany of 1938 was more enlightened and prosperous than Nigeria of today and Hitler arose chanting the same slogan that Buhari is dishing to us now. Security, end of corruption etc.
You see my dear, one of the greatest dividend of democracy GEJ bequeathed to us is his absolute belief that every vote must count and free speech must always be uphold. It is based on these that hope was restored to the opposition which would not have been under Obasanjo regime. GEJ has achieved alot but his handles have allowed APC to use Boko Haram to define his administration and it is so sad. Kai!!! You phoolish oo! |
