Good day nairalanders,
I'm writing on behalf of my sister who happens to be pregnant and due for delivery in less than two weeks.
She has fibroid growing alongside her baby. Her first child was birthed via caesarian but as it is now, she doesn't have the financial capacity to go for a caesarian and insists she would try out the vaginal.
Apart from my parents and my younger sister, she happens to be all alone in this race as her husband had been violent and now has lost his job.
We wouldn't want to take a risk, but the teaching hospital where she is located is on strike which leaves her with the alternative of using a private hospital.

Your advice would be highly appreciated please. Thank you.

Once a C-section, always a C-section. Add dt to the fibroid she's carrying which we don't know the position, and you won't need me to tell you not to gamble with your sister's life.

Best case scenario, she goes back to C-section as an emergency.
Worst case scenario, she gets a ruptured uterus.

That being said, I must admit that miracles still happen.

The choice is yours.
