This sounds like a ploy to pay some political jobbers from the state treasury. How can a commissioner for wealth creation be spending with no earning in view. Wealth creation is all about productivity but this one seems to be all about spending state money. |

Politics › Re: Army Got ₦1.08 Trillion In 28 Months, Zainab Ahmed Tells Senate by CodeTemplar: 4:25pm On May 05, 2021 |
Simplyleo: Based on the population of Nigeria, the size of the Nigerian Army and the ongoing insurgency across the country, that is grossly insufficient by any standard. Nigeria is indeed poor, forget the hype. The dominant source of national income is crude oil, nothing else.
Oil alone cannot sustain this country with a population hovering around 200m. Any idiot can do the simple arithmetic and tell me what every soul is entitled to from the gross earning.
Nigeria's annual budget is still less than 15 trillion, pls what will that amount do for over 200m people? Infact, let's assume 15t is to be shared physically, that is around 75k per head per annum.
US with a population of about 250m has annual budget in the excess of $2 trillion.
No one should quote me because I don't respond to bunkum from illiterates. Stop doing retarded data analysis. So where is the more money suppose to come from when govt can allow illegal miners take gold freely? |

This is why it is a great evil to impede production for the sake of nepotism like the presidency is doing. You allow herders to graze crops that could have boosted the GDP and in the process reduced the overall supply of what money is meant to exchange. That makes more money available to fewer goods and thus trigger inflation and devaluation. Why not make the herders work to feed their cows and let the crops of the farmers add to the overall GDP? |

Insecurity is largely a FG thing because they control the major things fueling insecurity. They control resources that's creating inequality, they control judiciary that's making a joke of laid down laws, they control most of the defence apparatus, they control the most vital road networks, the communication systems via NCC, they control flow of cash via NIBSS and CBN, they control the ports and borders. You cannot take lion's share of resources and dump all the responsibility with the people. They once reneged on promises and started saying change begins with the masses. Extremely irresponsible government. |

Culture › Re: "Village People" Fact Or Myth? by CodeTemplar: 1:29pm On May 04, 2021 |
SQLmastar: Okoro was a successful businessman with strings of shops all over Alaba market. He has houses and cars to his name. He decides to visit his hometown and in doing so, offers monetary and kind gifts to some of his kinsmen, according to his magnanimity. Few months afterwards, his business begins to crumble and he is finally reduced to a pauper...after selling all his properties ofcourse. You may have seen the above story played several times in our nollywood movies but I want to ask; are they real? Do these "village People" have the power to take away our sources of joy? If yes, who gave them these powers and why can't these powers be wielded to turn their own lives to good fortunes.
The reason for my post is this: I'm about to visit my hometown and would likely throw a party and render help to some of my folks because I haven't been home for some years now. But my girlfriend strongly opposes this. She says African villages are full of evil people. I don't agree with her. I'm a scientist and I believe people who crumble in their businesses may have made bad decisions and this has nothing to do with village people. My father always told me to focus and work hard. They are the keys to success. He doesn't even believe in all these spiritualisms flying around. And he has also been living in the village most of his life! Furthermore, take a look at the Western world. They don't believe in village People. Maybe that's why they are able to make economic advancements.
