xynerise: So why the collision? Are you serious? You're going to put the blame on the train? You think a train's brakes are ABS designed? Lmao! A train's brakes are air filled & do not stop on impact but requires a certain distance to come to a complete halt. This is because of the speed, length & weight of the train A moving train contains energy, known as kinetic energy, which needs to be removed from the train in order to cause it to stop. The simplest way of doing this is to convert the energy into heat. The conversion is usually done by applying a contact material to the rotating wheels or to discs attached to the axles. The material creates friction and converts the kinetic energy into heat. The wheels slow down and eventually the train stops. The material used for braking is normally in the form of a block or pad.The vast majority of the world's trains are equipped with braking systems which use compressed air as the force to push blocks on to wheels or pads on to discs. These systems are known as "air brakes" or "pneumatic brakes". The compressed air is transmitted along the train through a "brake pipe". Changing the level of air pressure in the pipe causes a change in the state of the brake on each vehicle. It can apply the brake, release it or hold it "on" after a partial application. |
maclatunji: Prove that the word 'Kafir' is derogatory as defined by Islam.Kafir (Arabic: كافر kāfir, plural كفّار kuffār) is a denigrating Arabic term used in an Islamic doctrinal sense, usually translated as "unbeliever," "disbeliever," or "infidel." The term refers to a person who rejects God in Islam or who hides, denies, or covers the "islamic version of truth." The practise of declaring another Muslim as a kafir is takfir. This aptly defines the word in question, and please I do not have the patience for your shenanigans or feeble attempts at sophistry in a desperate bid to shield what we already know is the truth |
So God actually stood by & watched whilst this girl was sliced, diced & butchered in such a gruesome manner! How can this be?Ah God,you have a lot of questions to answer |
With hardliners like Ustaz maclatunji having no qualms using a derogatory term like 'Kaffir' to address non-Muslims,I'm afraid your dissertation is an exercise in futility. At op,I'd strongly suggest you channel your energies towards reconstructing the mindsets of the likes mentioned above and his co-travellers.Anything short of this, you're simply dissipating your time and I dare say the dialectical premise upon which your argument is predicated is flawed from the outset. Thus, dead on arrival |
I'm pretty sure if Jesus had been executed this way Christians would be looking like this
|
Truly sad & tragic but like someone alluded to earlier, you don't go stirring a bees' nest and expect them not to attack. The veil covering the face has been banned in France and enforced by law.Yet you insist you must defy the law & everyone else for reasons best known to you & expect to be ignored?Surely, something is bound to give.We have an adage that someone who carries a pail of water on her head or a basket of eggs does not go looking for trouble |
Quick question. If Christ had died in a coffin, wouldn't Christians be wearing miniature coffins around their necks today? |
Seun: Who is Dolce? ![]() |
gluv01: I just watched the news now, they've been sentenced but it unlikely that they will serve the full jail term because it will affect their business. But they will serve anyway. They will not serve. It's a suspended sentence.A suspended sentence is a legal term for a judge's delaying of a defendant's serving of a sentence after they have been found guilty, in order to allow the defendant to perform a period of probation. If the defendant does not break the law during that period, and fulfills the particular conditions of the probation, the judge usually throws out the sentence |
oshyno: If uv watched 24hrs u wud understand that a president cud be arm-twisted into making some funny decision me n you are nt privy to. We've known this for years.Looks like the security forces are just waking up.

lorretta u: why not white mist?is your god a god of darkness? You seem to continue to reinforce the notion that anything black/dark is evil. Thus, you would agree with the bible that you're a cursed race judging from your color |
Initially,Seun claimed the whole censor thing was put in place because Google said his site was too vulgar for Google ads. Now mr Seun is no longer at the mercy of Google but the censor continues. I wonder what his excuse is this time |
So the MIL intends to stay for 2 months and insists within this period no sexx in the house?Ah ah!Talk about wickedness in high places. She'll still be the one to later come haranguing the man for cheating on her lovely daughter. But in fairness,I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable indulging in sexual intercourse with the MIL around.Especially in that kind of setting..hmmm..e be as e get sha |
Nice dress,curvy figure but the face...hmmm ![]() |
Nothing wrong with drinking on a night out.But it's always important to have a designated driver who would abstain from alcohol for the nite or have just very little. That is assuming the accident was alcohol induced |

tpia@:Don Jazzy is a philanthropist par excellence.Abi na until pesin empty him bank account before una go gree say him dey give? Funmi Lawal is the 2011 UNILAG law graduate who was recently diagnosed with malignant sacorma, a kind of cancer at the shoulder region. Funmi was in need of N4 million for surgery. Mavin Records CEO and prolific music producer, Don Jazzy has donated N2 million to her. He did it quietly...didn't want it out...but I just had to let people know what he did. He's such a generous, kind hearted human being and good deeds like this need to be appreciated and encouraged. God bless Don Jazzy. God heal Funmi Lawal. And thanks to everyone else who has donated to Funmi Lawal. Long http://lindaikeji..co.uk/2012/08/don-jazzy-donates-n2-million-to-cancer.html |

UK Court Rules Nigeria-Born Oil Tycoon, Michael Prest To Give Ex-wife $27 Million The ex-wife of a Nigerian oil tycoon won a landmark divorce settlement battle in the UK’s Supreme Court on Wednesday in a closely watched case that had raised concerns about the accessibility of corporate assets in wealthy divorces. Family law practitioners and wealth managers were watching to see how the court could issue a fair judgment without piercing the legal “corporate veil” which treats companies and their shareholders as separate entities. In a decision that will affect anyone seeking to protect personal assets by putting them into a corporate structure, Britain’s most senior judges upheld a ruling which awards Yasmin Prest a share in seven properties controlled by her husband’s company Petrodel Resources Ltd. The court ruled the property, initially represented as assets of the offshore company, was actually held in trust for her oil trading ex-husband Michael Prest from whom she was seeking the balance of a 17.5 million pound ($27 million) divorce settlement. “I’m delighted and relieved that the Supreme Court has ruled as it did,” Britain’s Press Association reported Yasmin Prest as saying after the judgment in the case Petrodel Resources. “None of this would have been necessary if Michael had been sensible and played fair.” Sandra Davies, head of Family Law at top British law firm Mishcon de Reya, told Reuters that although the court ruled the assets be transferred to Yasmin Prest, it did not set a legal precedent on access to corporate assets because the property was actually held in trust for Michael Prest. “There has to be a situation where the husband has done something to evade, frustrate, put the company beyond his control with deliberate intention,” she said. “There has to be some element of unfairness, illegality about it.” Despite the careful ruling, family law partner Sam Longworth at Stewarts Law firm said Wednesday’s decision would have a significant weakening effect on court powers when dealing with sophisticated wealth structuring in a divorce setting. “This will encourage wealthy spouses to consider ‘divorce planning’ before and during marriage, which risks further undermining the institution of marriage,” he told Reuters in an email. Solicitors for Yasmin Prest said that the court’s ruling left legitimate companies with little to fear, while restoring an element of fairness in the area of family law. “This is a great result for Mrs Prest and for others who might find themselves in a similar position,” said Farrer & Co Partner Jeremy Posnansky. “The Supreme Court’s decision will ensure that dishonest husbands can’t cheat their wives and flout court orders by hiding behind a web of deceit and a corporate façade.” http://www.channelstv.com/home/2013/06/12/uk-court-rules-nigeria-born-oil-tycoon-michael-prest-to-give-ex-wife-27-million/

olawalemanog: For God's sake what type of morons are our universities turning out? We turn out grsduates that cannot connect history. For God's sake who first killed the BH leader in cold blood? All you fools kept quiet and never bothered to do as little as discuss it simply because you think it is the problem of the North. The same thing happened in Plateau state when our womderful press covered only one side of the story and never cared abt what happened to the other side whose people were also being murdered in cold blood until the whole thing went haywire. You may like what is happening, you may like the temporary peace that will come out of this exercise; you may not care what happens to the Hausa-fulanis (afterall they are muslims) but i bet you, this injustice may signal an end to the rxistence of this country. Meanehile, there is supposed to be a plan for amnesty for which a committee has been constituted; what is bothering us is how this committee is going to function in the face of all these bombardments by the military. We should not forget that just recently, the military shut down a section of Platrau state looking for armed Fulani herdsmen: has there been any change? Let us learn from what transpired bw the Beroms and the Fulanis, who, after fighting for so long with each side suffering severe casualties, finally agreed to dialogue and give peace a chance. The area is relatively calm today. We must pursue amnesty for these guys, not only to who they are and why they have taken up arms agaist the state, but also to use it as an opportunity to apologise for our wrong. However, those who suffered losses as a result of this avoidable insurgency must be properly and adequately compensated. This is the only way we can learn from the ills of the past which will serve as catalyst for dealing with similar cases of injustice like the Odi and Zaki Biam massacres. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.Guy you funny sha.'What type of mor0ns are our universities turning out'you say?And then you go ahead to write this drivel with all the spelling errors (which of course you'd blame on your phone or come up with some other lame excuse). Not to mention the complete jumbled up,incoherent manner you chose to put forth your argument without a single paragraph.Your entire write up can be broken down into 2 or 3 paragraphs. In any event, after struggling to read your piece,I dare say your argument is useless. Thus,if anyone should bear 'mor0n' as a middle name,it should be you.Just saying |
@op,you need to put your foot down and tell him the amorous affair has to stop or you'll take a more drastic action.Call his bluff & see how he reacts. His reaction to the threat would tell you how far gone he is & determine your next line of action.Apparently, your softly, softly approach isn't cutting it & for the record, prayers have never cured anyone man of infidelity. At least I have yet to see one |
The lady had already made up her mind she wasn't going to marry the bloke but she shouldn't have stood him up the way she did.I sincerely hope there's not another acid bath in the offing.Seems to be weapon of choice for disgruntled couples lately |
